Nice to London by private jet takes about 1 h 45 over 1,074 km, off the Riviera and into Luton, Farnborough or Biggin Hill, normally on a light to midsize jet. Indicative price from €8 000 for the whole aircraft, one way. Send the dates and a written quotation follows within 30 minutes; the operations desk answers at any hour on +357 95 119759.
The Cote d'Azur back to London in about 1 h 45 min, landing at whichever of the three London business-aviation fields is nearest your evening. Whole-aircraft charter, single seats and empty legs, arranged 24/7.
REQUEST A QUOTENice and London sit at the two ends of Europe's busiest business-aviation corridor - Nice Cote d'Azur is the second busiest business-aviation airport in Europe and London Luton the fifth - so the aeroplane is almost never the problem on this pairing, including same-day. Flown northbound there are two things that are different from the way out: this is the direction brokers publish as the dearer one, and it ends at a border, because the United Kingdom is outside both the European Union and the Schengen area.
There is no single "London airport" for a private jet, and on this direction that is the choice worth spending a minute on: which of the three you land at. A few minutes separate them in the air, an hour or more can separate them on the road, and all three clear the border in their own terminals. The departure end is settled - Nice, unless Cannes is where your car actually is.
| Airport | Codes | Distance to London | Suits you if |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nice Cote d'Azur | NCE / LFMN | 1,074 km | Where you start. The Riviera gateway, with its own business terminal; Cannes Mandelieu (CEQ / LFMD) is 24 km further west and worth naming if you are leaving from Cannes rather than driving back along the coast. |
| London Luton | LTN / EGGW | arrival | You are heading north or west of the city. The busiest UK business-aviation field, and the one with the widest choice of aircraft on the day - which is what matters when the leg home is booked late. |
| Farnborough | FAB / EGLF | 1,037 km | You are going to Surrey, Hampshire or west London. A dedicated business-aviation airport with no scheduled traffic at all, so nothing on the field competes with your arrival window. |
| London Biggin Hill | BQH / EGKB | 1,008 km | You are going to south or south-east London, Kent, or straight into the City. Marginally the shortest of the three from Nice in a straight line, though the road matters more than the difference in the air. |

At 1,074 km this is a light-to-midsize sector, so anything larger is a comfort or luggage decision rather than a range one. Coming back from the Riviera it is usually the luggage: people rarely go home with less than they took out, and on this leg the hold decides the aeroplane more often than the seat count does.
Up to 7 passengers. The most common light jet on the corridor and the quickest to arrange when the leg home is booked at short notice. Enough hold for golf bags or ski gear, though not for a season's worth of both.
See the Phenom 300 ›Up to 9 passengers and a stand-up cabin. This is the type in our own published example for the pair, and the natural answer for a family coming home or a small board group.
See the Citation XLS+ ›Up to 8 passengers with a full galley and a separate lavatory. The step up worth taking when a long Riviera stay is ending and everything that went out is coming back with you.
See the Hawker 800XP ›All three aircraft types are on our own fleet pages. If you need a heavier cabin - Legacy 600/650, Challenger 605 - we arrange those on this route too.
From €8 000 one way. Indicative starting price for this route, rounded down. The date, the aircraft actually available and airport fees move it — tell us your dates and we confirm within 30 minutes.
Nobody can quote a private jet honestly from a table, because the price turns on where the aircraft happens to be that day. What we can do is set out the public reference points, including our own, and say plainly which of them belong to this direction and which to the other one - because on this pair they are not the same number.
| Reference | Aircraft | Indicative price | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| This direction, northbound | Nice to London, VLJ | approx. 11,400 EUR | Broker published estimate, retrieved 23.08.2026. The published figure for the leg home is dearer than the one for the leg out, which is normal and reflects where the aircraft has to go next rather than any difference in the flying |
| Our own jet-sharing example | Citation XLS+ | 1,000 EUR per seat | Published on this website, 2026. Jet sharing - you buy seats, not the aircraft |
| Whole aircraft, light jet | Citation CJ2, 6 seats | from approx. 8,000 EUR | Broker published estimate for the southbound leg, retrieved 23.08.2026. Shown as a class reference for the corridor |
| Whole aircraft, midsize | Citation XLS, 8 seats | approx. 12,500 GBP | Broker published estimate for the southbound leg, retrieved 23.08.2026 |
| Whole aircraft, heavy | Legacy 600, 13 seats | approx. 21,500 EUR | Broker published estimate for the southbound leg, retrieved 23.08.2026 |

The Riviera is the most sharply seasonal market in European business aviation, and read from the departure end the difficulty is always the same one: the wave that arrived has to leave, and it wants to leave on the same afternoon you do.
| Period | What happens | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| May: Cannes and Monaco | The Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix fall within a fortnight of each other. WingX recorded 315 business-jet arrivals into Nice during the 2024 Grand Prix alone, against 367 in 2019 - and every one of those aircraft had to depart again. | Book six to eight weeks out, and fix the departure hour rather than the day. What runs out at this end is the slot and the handling window, not the aeroplane. |
| June to September | The main Mediterranean season. EUROCONTROL put Nice at the top of the European business-aviation airport table in August and September 2021. | Two to three weeks for a weekend. Sunday evening is the pinch point in this direction, in the way Friday afternoon is in the other one - ask us about a Monday morning departure instead. |
| July to August | Corporate traffic across Europe actually dips in high summer - EUROCONTROL found a pronounced July-August trough in business flying, with June and September the true peaks. Leisure traffic on the Riviera does the opposite. | If your trip was business rather than leisure, this is the easiest time of year to get the cabin you want on the way home. |
| October to April | Quiet on the Riviera and busy in the Alps. The Riviera fleet redeploys north and east for the ski season, which puts repositioning traffic in your direction. | The best window of the year for an empty leg northbound. Give us a flexible week rather than a fixed evening. |

For a fair number of parties London is a staging point rather than the end of the journey. If the aircraft is to carry on, or part of the group is going somewhere else, say so at the enquiry rather than on the day.
