Private Jet Charter Paris to Nice

Paris to Nice is 694 km southbound and about 1 h 17 in the air, Paris Le Bourget to Nice Cote d'Azur, normally on a light jet. From €8 300 for the whole aircraft, one way. Send the dates and the passenger count and a written quotation follows inside 30 minutes; the operations desk is staffed at every hour on +357 95 119759.

The run down to the Cote d'Azur, and on a Friday afternoon in summer the busier of the two directions by a distance. Nothing on the sector crosses a border, so there is no customs or immigration process waiting at the far end - the ground time on arrival is the shortest of any route we publish.

The route at a glance

Between them these two fields carry more business-aviation traffic than any other pair on this site: Le Bourget recorded 55,751 movements in 2023 and Nice 37,425. WingX-Advance put Paris-Nice fourth among European city pairs on January-June 2013 data, at 67 flights a month southbound against 68 the other way, and the habit has not changed since. The whole sector sits inside France, which makes this the only route we publish with no border formality at either end - and on the arrival that is worth real minutes of the day.

Distance is the great-circle figure between airport coordinates from the OurAirports open dataset. Your quotation carries the real schedule.

Which airports we use

The departure is not a decision - Le Bourget is where Paris business aviation leaves from. The arrival is, because for a good number of passengers on this sector the address at the end is on the Croisette rather than in Nice.

AirportCodesGreat-circleSuits you if
Paris Le BourgetLBG / LFPBdepartureWhere the sector starts, and the field every distance and time on this page is measured from. 55,751 movements in 2023 (EBAA 2023) make it the busiest business-aviation airport in Europe, and it is laid out throughout for short ground times. The week to watch is the Paris Air Show, when its own ramp rather than anything in the air becomes the constraint.
Nice Cote d'AzurNCE / LFMN694 kmWhere the sector ends, and the default arrival. 37,425 movements in 2023, a business terminal kept separate from the scheduled ones, and the helicopter link to Monaco leaving from the field itself. Nothing on this flight crosses a border, so there is no immigration or customs process on landing and you are off the aircraft and moving. Across May and the summer weekends what is scarce at this end is the slot and the ground handling rather than the aeroplane.
Cannes MandelieuCEQ / LFMD695 kmThe same flight in every practical sense - 695 km against Nice's 694, one kilometre - and it sets you down 24 km closer to the Croisette, at the point in the year when those 24 km cost the most time. It takes business jets up to a certain size, so give us the type and the party and we will say whether it works. In festival week, ask before you assume Nice.

Aircraft for Paris to Nice

At 694 km this is a light-jet sector with a great deal in hand, so range never enters the conversation and the hold usually does. For most of the year, on a flight of an hour and a quarter, cabin size is a preference. Around the middle of May it stops being one.

Embraer Phenom 300

Six to eight passengers and a 2.27 cubic metre hold, the largest of the three, which is why it is the first type we put forward for a party heading south for a stay. It is also the commonest aircraft on this run and the easiest to place at Le Bourget at short notice.

See the Embraer Phenom 300 ›

Cessna Citation CJ2+

Six to seven passengers, and the sensible answer for a small party travelling light. Over an hour and a quarter the difference between this cabin and a wider one is an hour and a quarter of your life; the difference in the quotation lasts rather longer.

See the Cessna Citation CJ2+ ›

Citation Bravo

Six to seven passengers and 2.07 cubic metres of hold, quiet and unhurried. It fits the trip this page describes - going down for several days with proper luggage - better than it fits a same-day return.

See the Citation Bravo ›

All three types are on our own fleet pages. A party of eight or more goes south on a Citation XLS+ or a Hawker 800XP, which fly the same sector; in Cannes week the larger hold is usually the reason to step up rather than the seat count.

From €8 300 one way. Indicative starting price for this route, rounded down. The date, the aircraft actually available and airport fees move it — tell us your dates and we confirm within 30 minutes.

Brokers publish reference figures in both directions on this pairing, which is unusual, and on the southbound leg it happens to be in your favour: every one of the three types is listed cheaper going this way.

When to fly, and when to book early

The Riviera is the sharpest seasonal market in European business aviation, and southbound is the direction the season pulls. Two weeks in May are the ones to plan the year around.

PeriodWhat happensWhat to do
MayThe Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix fall within a fortnight of each other, and what they generate at this end of the sector is arrivals. WingX counted 315 business-jet arrivals into Nice during the 2024 Grand Prix alone, against 367 in 2019.Six to eight weeks. What runs out at the far end is the Nice slot and the Riviera handling, not the aircraft - and this is the fortnight to ask about Cannes Mandelieu in the same call.
June to SeptemberThe Mediterranean season, with the flow running south. EUROCONTROL put Nice at the top of the European business-aviation airport table in August and September 2021.Two to three weeks for a weekend. Friday afternoon out of Le Bourget is the pinch point, and it is a pinch point on this direction specifically.
March to June and September to NovemberUnderneath the leisure traffic there is a steady corporate flow - this is France's internal business corridor as much as it is a holiday route.A week is usually enough for a midweek day return, which is the commonest shape this sector is bought in outside the season.
November to MarchQuiet on the coast. Aircraft reposition between Paris, Nice and Geneva constantly, and a share of those legs run south with nobody in the cabin.Ask about empty legs if your dates can move at all.

Onward from Nice

Nice is where the aircraft stops, but for most parties on this sector it is not where the day ends.

Monaco by helicopter

The standard Riviera transfer and the reason many people fly into Nice at all. Our own published helicopter rates start at 750 EUR per hour on a Eurocopter AS350.

Questions we get about this route

How long is Paris to Nice, and how much of the day does it actually cost?
About 1 h 17 in the air over a great-circle distance of 694 km from Le Bourget. That figure is an estimate from a model fitted to the flight times we publish ourselves, not a measured block time. Allow roughly fifteen minutes on the ground at each end and you have the whole thing: nothing on this sector crosses a border, so there is no customs or immigration process to sit through at Le Bourget or at Nice. Cannes Mandelieu is 695 km - the same flight.
Should we land at Nice or at Cannes?
It depends on the address you are going to. Cannes Mandelieu is 695 km from Le Bourget against Nice's 694, so the flight is identical, and it puts you 24 km closer to the Croisette. It accepts business jets up to a certain size, so tell us the type and the party size and we will say whether it works; in festival week it is the first question to ask. Otherwise Nice is the default, with a business terminal separate from the scheduled ones and the helicopter to Monaco leaving from the field.
Is the flight south cheaper than the flight back?
In the published broker figures, yes, on every type. Around 8,300 EUR for a four-seat Citation Mustang, around 13,400 for an eight-seat Learjet 75 and around 16,000 for an eight-seat Hawker 800, one way, whole aircraft, against roughly 8,500 / 13,800 / 16,500 northbound. The gap is a few hundred euros and it is positioning rather than distance - the sector is the same 694 km either way. On any particular day the positioning picture can reverse it, which is exactly why a published table is a sanity check and not a quotation.
We are going down for the Grand Prix. How early do we have to book?
Six to eight weeks at least. WingX recorded 315 business-jet arrivals into Nice during the 2024 Grand Prix alone, against 367 in 2019, and the Cannes Film Festival falls within a fortnight of it. What runs out first is the Nice slot and the ground handling, not the aeroplane, so booking early buys you the arrival window rather than the aircraft. Ask about Cannes Mandelieu at the same time.
How do we get from Nice to Monaco after we land?
By helicopter, which is the standard Riviera transfer and the reason a great many people fly into Nice rather than anywhere else on the coast. Our own published helicopter rates start at 750 EUR per hour on a Eurocopter AS350. Give us the arrival time with the booking and it can be arranged to meet the aircraft.
Six of us with summer luggage - which aircraft?
The Phenom 300 first: six to eight passengers and a 2.27 cubic metre hold, the largest of the three light types listed here. The Citation Bravo takes six to seven with 2.07 cubic metres. For eight or more, a Citation XLS+ or Hawker 800XP flies the same sector, and in Cannes week the bigger hold earns its keep. Heading south for a stay, the hold generally settles the aircraft before the seat count does.
Is there an empty leg going south?
Often. An empty leg is a repositioning flight with nobody in the cabin, and brokers publish discounts of 50 to 75 percent on them. This is one of the most heavily flown pairings in Europe and aircraft move along it in both directions all year; between November and March, when the coast is quiet and aircraft shuttle between Paris, Nice and Geneva, they are likelier than at any other point in the year. Current empty legs.
Can we buy single seats rather than the whole aircraft?
On flights we open for sharing, yes - you buy the seats you need and the cost of the aircraft is divided between the passengers on board. More about jet sharing.
Can this be booked at short notice?
Often, and it is the commonest way this route is bought. A last-minute charter means the aircraft, the crew and the slots at both ends have to line up quickly; when they do, we have put people in the air within a few hours of the first call. What decides it is where a suitable aircraft happens to be standing and whether the windows at Le Bourget and Nice are open, not our willingness. Call +357 95 119759 at any hour - it answers around the clock - and you will get a straight answer rather than a promise to check later. Worth asking about southbound empty legs in the same conversation.
