What a helicopter hour costs

Indicative hourly rates for the types we arrange most often. The hour is the unit here, not the route: a helicopter is usually chartered for a task rather than for a sector.

ModelPassengersRangeSpeedFrom
Eurocopter AS3505661 km (357 nm)287 km/h (155 kts)from €750 per hour
Eurocopter EC1306615 km (332 nm)235 km/h (127 kts)from €1,000 per hour
Bell 4295761 km (411 nm)278 km/h (150 kts)from €1,350 per hour
These are starting figures for the aircraft, one hour of flight. Positioning to your landing site, waiting time and landing fees are quoted separately, because on short helicopter work they often matter more than the flight hour itself. Only a written quotation against your task is a price.

What we are asked to fly

Corporate flights

Moving a small group to a site, a meeting or an airport when the road takes longer than the flight.

Aerial survey

Land, estates and infrastructure photographed or inspected from the air, with the flight profile agreed in advance.

Air taxi

Point-to-point transfers, including landing sites that have no runway at all.

Sightseeing

Scenic flights on an agreed route, usually with the doors and the photography in mind.

How a helicopter charter is arranged

  1. You send the task: where from, where to or over what, when, and how many people.
  2. Your flight advisor comes back with the options that are actually available on your date.
  3. We confirm the aircraft, the landing sites and the permissions the route needs.
  4. You receive the confirmation and the invoice, and the advisor stays with the flight until it is done.

Helicopter work depends on landing sites, fuel along the route and the weather far more than a jet sector does. We tell you which of the three is the binding one on your task before you commit to anything.
