Nice to Larnaca is a 2,461 km crossing of about 3 h 31 in the air, Nice Cote d'Azur to Larnaca, normally on a super-midsize jet. From €22 700 for the whole aircraft, one way. The Cote d'Azur to Cyprus non-stop, east across the whole Mediterranean in about three and a half hours. It is a sector we arrange constantly, and the thing worth deciding before you book is which end of the island you are actually heading for.
REQUEST A QUOTE2,461 km end to end makes this a full Mediterranean crossing and puts it beyond the light jets that serve the short European pairings: super-midsize is where the choice begins. Flown east the upper winds are normally behind rather than in front, but the honest caveat on this sector is a different one - eastern Mediterranean routings cannot always follow the direct track, and a flight plan drawn around closed airspace adds time that no distance calculation can see. The two ends of this pairing are not comparable in traffic terms, and that asymmetry is what decides what is standing where: Nice was Europe's second busiest business-aviation airport in 2023 with 37,425 movements, while Larnaca does not appear in that European top fifty at all.
Nothing much to decide at the departure end: Nice is where you leave from. The decision is at the arrival end and it is worth a minute of thought - the island is small but the drive across it is not, and landing at the wrong field costs more time than the flight saves.
| Airport | Codes | Great-circle to Nice | Suits you if |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nice Cote d'Azur | NCE / LFMN | 2,461 km | Where the sector starts. Europe's second busiest business-aviation field with 37,425 movements in 2023, and a business terminal kept separate from the scheduled ones. Monaco is a helicopter transfer away, and Cannes Mandelieu (CEQ / LFMD) sits 24 km further west - so if the party is assembling on the Croisette rather than in Nice, say so before the departure is fixed. |
| Larnaca | LCA / LCLK | arrival | Where the sector ends, and the default. Closest to Nicosia, Ayia Napa, Protaras and the eastern half of the island, and the field where the business-aviation handling and the aircraft themselves actually are - our own published Cyprus flights depart from here. Cyprus is a member of the European Union but is not in the Schengen area, so this arrival is an external Schengen crossing and passport control applies; at a business aviation terminal that happens beside the aircraft and takes minutes. |
| Paphos | PFO / LCPH | 2,382 km | The other end of the island, and the better arrival if you are going to Paphos itself, Polis or the western end of Limassol. At 2,382 km it is fractionally the shorter flight from Nice. The trade is a thinner choice of handling and of available aircraft on the day, so ask for it early rather than on the morning. |

At 2,461 km this is a super-midsize sector and the arithmetic is not open to negotiation. A light jet can be made to do it, but usually by carrying fuel instead of luggage or by stopping on the way, and neither is why anyone charters. Every type below crosses non-stop with the cabin full, which on a flight out for a stay - with the luggage a stay implies - is the point of the exercise.
Eight to nine passengers, a three cubic metre hold, and 5,926 km of range set against a 2,461 km sector - well over twice what the crossing asks for. It is what we put forward first here, because nothing about the party, the luggage or the distance has to be argued over.
See the Bombardier Challenger 350 ›Eight to eleven seats, more than either of the others, and the reason it wins whenever two households are going out on the same aircraft. Brokers also quote this type for Cyprus, so it is the one line in the price table below that you can compare against directly.
See the Cessna Citation Sovereign+ ›Ten seats, 6,667 km of range and 893 km/h, which makes it the quickest thing on this page. Ask for it when the trip is shaped as a day out and back and the hour you get home is worth more to you than the difference in the quotation.
See the Gulfstream G280 ›All three types are on our own fleet pages. The one published example we hold for this pairing was flown the other way round, on an Embraer Legacy 650 - a heavy thirteen-seat cabin - and as an empty leg rather than as a charter.

This is one of the few routes on this site where we can set our own published figure beside other people's. Read the gap between them carefully: ours is an empty leg, and an empty leg is not the same product as a whole aircraft on your dates.

Cypriot outbound leisure traffic and Riviera inbound demand peak in the same months, which is what makes high summer hard to book late. On this direction the useful consequence is that the aircraft carrying those parties west afterwards have to get back east again.
| Period | What happens | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| May | Cannes and Monaco fall within a fortnight of each other and Nice absorbs both - and Nice is your departure. WingX recorded 315 business-jet arrivals into Nice during the 2024 Grand Prix alone. | Six to eight weeks ahead. What runs out at the departure end is the Nice slot rather than the aircraft. |
| June to September | The Mediterranean season at both ends. Cypriot residents and owners are moving west for weeks at a time, so the heavier flow is the opposite of this one - which is exactly why aircraft have to come back east, sometimes with nobody aboard. | Three weeks for a weekend departure, and ask about the return at the same time: booking both legs together often changes the price of the first. |
| October and April | The shoulders. Cyprus is still warm and the Riviera has gone quiet, so demand is thin in both directions. | A week is usually enough, and the empty-leg board is worth watching before you fix a date. |
| November to March | Traffic on this pairing is business rather than leisure, and Cyprus works a normal calendar through the winter. | Short notice is realistic. The operations desk is staffed around the clock. |
