Geneva to Courchevel by private jet is about 33 minutes in the air over 102 km, the shortest sector on this website, normally flown on a light jet into the valley or by helicopter directly to Courchevel Altiport. Indicative price from €1 500 for the whole aircraft, one way. Send the dates and a written quotation follows within 30 minutes; the operations desk answers at any hour on +357 95 119759.
Geneva is where almost every Trois Vallees journey begins, and this is the shortest flight we publish. The useful part of the page is not the 33 minutes but what you put on the end of them, because a business jet does not land at the resort.
REQUEST A QUOTEThis page is short on flying and long on choices. At 102 km the aeroplane is barely a factor: a light jet leaving Geneva turns towards the Tarentaise before it has finished climbing. What decides the day is the far end. Courchevel Altiport is a genuine airfield, the 102 km quoted here is measured to it, and aircraft work in and out of it right through the season — but they are turboprops and helicopters flown by crews certified for that one field. The runway is short and climbs steeply, nothing there offers an instrument approach, an approach once committed cannot be abandoned, and the field needs daylight and good visibility. The honest version of this booking is therefore a choice between a helicopter that finishes the journey and a jet that hands it over.
Four fields are in this conversation and only one is the resort. Geneva is the departure and seldom in doubt. The real question is where the aircraft stops, and it is answered by the size of the party, the luggage and the cloud base rather than by preference.
Courchevel Altiport is 102 km from Geneva, 206 km from Milan Linate and 884 km from London Luton. Geneva is not merely convenient for the Trois Vallees; it is closer to them than any other airport with a proper business-aviation terminal.
| Airport | Codes | Role on this route | What to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Geneva | GVA / LSGG | departure | The default start and the best-placed business-aviation airport in Europe for the Trois Vallees. It has dedicated handling, most of the helicopter operators serving the altiport are based there, and it is close enough that driving the whole way stays a serious option. In deep season it is also one of the busiest general-aviation fields on the continent, so fix the departure window before the aircraft type. |
| Courchevel Altiport | CVF / LFLJ | the resort itself | 102 km from Geneva. A short runway with a pronounced upward slope, no instrument approach, no option to abandon an approach once committed, and daylight and good visibility required. Crews need a qualification for that single field, so in practice this means turboprops and helicopters. Raise it at the outset and we will confirm what your dates allow. |
| Chambery Savoie | CMF / LFLB | usual jet arrival | The closest jet-capable field to the Trois Vallees and the usual answer for Courchevel, Meribel and Val Thorens. It sits in the valley, which is why the drive afterwards is short and why its weather can be awkward. Saturdays in season are its hardest days. |
| Grenoble Alpes Isere | GNB / LFLS | fallback | Out on the plain rather than in the valley, which is its value: it stays open when the valley fields do not and has room on a Saturday. The road up is longer. We file it as a Chambery alternate as a matter of routine. |
Airport coordinates, codes and all great-circle distances: OurAirports open dataset, retrieved 23 August 2026. The description of the altiport follows the conditions already published on our own London to Courchevel and Courchevel to London pages; we give no operating hours because we have not sourced them.
Nothing about 102 km tests an aircraft, so range decides nothing here. Two other things decide it: what the machine can land on, and how much luggage it carries while doing so. Ski bags are bulky rather than heavy, and on a short mountain sector bulk is the constraint people fail to anticipate.
If the journey is to end at the altiport, the aircraft in this list is not the one that takes you there; a helicopter finishes it. Our own published helicopter rates start from €750 per hour, and on a clear day that transfer is a matter of minutes rather than a leg of the trip. It is also the first thing to fail when the cloud comes down, which is why we plan a road alternative on every altiport booking rather than only on doubtful ones.
Six to eight passengers with 2.27 cubic metres of hold. The commonest light jet in the Alps in winter and the easiest to place at short notice out of Geneva, which on a Saturday in February is worth more than any specification.
See the Embraer Phenom 300 ›A straightforward light jet for small parties without a mountain of equipment. Over tens of kilometres it does everything a larger cabin would, and it is normally cheaper to position into Geneva.
See the Cessna Citation CJ2 ›The practical choice when the party is small but the luggage is not. Skis, boots and a week of winter clothing take far more room than the same people would in summer, and hold volume is what runs out first on an Alpine booking.
See the Cessna Citation Bravo ›All three types are on our own fleet pages. For a larger party the midsize Citation XLS+ flies into Chambery and Grenoble too. See our luggage page.

We have found no published route price for Geneva to Courchevel that we would be willing to reprint, so the figure above is a floor worked out from published light-jet hourly rates and the flight time on this page, rounded down. Here that calculation deserves a warning label rather than a footnote.
Thirty-three minutes is shorter than the fixed costs of a charter. Minimum flight-time charges, positioning, landing and handling at both ends and the crew’s duty day do not shrink to fit a short sector: on a hop like this they are the bill rather than an addition to it. A calculated hourly floor is a sanity check on somebody else’s quotation, not a prediction of your own.
Two further things move the real number, and both belong to the far end: whether a helicopter is involved, because the altiport transfer is a second aircraft with its own crew and handling, and the day of the week, because a Saturday in high season costs more than a Wednesday for the same journey when the scarce item is ground capacity rather than airframes.

The Alpine year is not a curve with a peak in it. It is a switch, thrown twice. From December to March this is one of the busiest short corridors in Europe; from late spring the traffic disappears and the altiport’s season ends with it. Inside the winter, one day of the week dominates the calendar.
| Period | What happens | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Saturdays, December to March | The resorts change over, so every movement in the Tarentaise happens inside the same handful of hours. The pressure falls on helicopter slots and ground handling rather than on aircraft. | Four to six weeks if the date is fixed, and ask about the transfer before the jet. If it can move, move it: a Sunday or a Wednesday is a different journey at a different price. |
| Christmas, New Year and the February school holidays | The peak inside the peak. Valley handling is committed a long way ahead, and the daylight the altiport needs is at its shortest in late December. | Six to eight weeks, and take early in the day. A mid-afternoon altiport arrival in December works against the light as well as the traffic. |
| The rest of the winter season | Still busy but manageable, with midweek days that behave almost normally. | One to two weeks. Give us the hour you want to be on the snow and we work backwards, transfer included. |
| June to September | Walkers and cyclists rather than skiers, a fraction of the winter traffic, and weather friendlier to a visual approach. | A week is plenty and short notice is easy. It is also when an altiport arrival is least likely to be defeated by cloud. |
| April to May, October to November | The closed season, when the altiport’s availability becomes a question to ask rather than an assumption. | Ask before you plan around it. A valley arrival at Chambery or Grenoble is unaffected all year. |

Every honest page about Courchevel is really about the end of the journey. Three ways it finishes, and the trade each one asks of you.
The only version that puts you at the resort rather than near it. Minutes instead of a transfer, and the first thing to fail when the cloud comes down. Our published rates start from €750 per hour.
Helicopter charter ›Chambery is the usual field and Grenoble the fallback. It does not care about cloud base and does not weigh your ski bags; for six people with a week of equipment it is the sensible answer rather than the compromise.
London to Chambery ›If Geneva is not where your day starts, the resort is reached from further afield: London Luton to Courchevel is 884 km and about an hour and a half, with the identical transfer question at the end.
