Private Jet Charter Geneva to Larnaca

Geneva to Larnaca is a 2,627 km sector of about 3 h 44 in the air, non-stop on a super-midsize cabin. Published whole-aircraft references for these two airports start at €22 700 one way and reach about €35 000 on a larger cabin — the spread is the aeroplane, not the distance. The January slot season at Geneva is the part of this trip that rewards early conversation. Send the dates and a written quotation follows within 30 minutes; our desk at Larnaca answers at any hour on +357 95 119759.

Four hours from a city of institutions and private banks to an island that does the same kind of business in warmer weather — and at the far end, an operator whose own people are standing on the airfield.

The route at a glance

Geneva produces a particular kind of passenger. A city of international institutions and private banking generates travel that is discreet, document-heavy and usually tied to a meeting somebody else has scheduled; the party is small, the luggage is modest and the date is not negotiable. Cyprus receives that traffic at the other end of a four-hour morning, and receives it into an island whose own financial and shipping industry is the reason for the trip. Two practical facts shape the booking. Geneva is slot-coordinated and in the Alpine season the ground runs out before the sky does. And the airport sits at the end of a lake in a valley, where winter mornings are sometimes slow to clear — not a rule anyone can quote you, but a reason we plan the departure hour rather than assume it.

The published pairing has two peaks. The winter one competes with you for a slot on the way out; the summer one competes with you for space on the way in
Distances are great-circle figures between airport coordinates in the OurAirports open dataset, retrieved 23 August 2026; the track actually flown is longer. The 3 h 44 is a model estimate and not a measured block time. The model is fitted to flight times this website already publishes, it treats the two directions of a pairing identically, and routing, wind, slot allocation and the type of aeroplane all shift the result. Treat it as a planning figure. The schedule written into your quotation is the real one.

Which airports we use

Geneva is the obvious departure and for most of this traffic the correct one. What is worth thinking about is where the day before began: this is an airport with a national border along one side of it, and a passenger who slept in Haute-Savoie is nonetheless departing from Switzerland, with everything that implies for the paperwork. At the Cyprus end the question is simply which half of the island the week belongs to.

AirportCodesGreat-circle to LarnacaSuits you if
GenevaGVA / LSGG2,627 kmThe default departure and the field every figure on this page is measured from. It handled 34,273 business-aviation movements in 2023, the third-highest in Europe that year, and it is slot-coordinated. Between Christmas and early March both slots and parking stands are allocated well ahead, and that is felt on departures as much as on arrivals — the aeroplane you want has to have been standing somewhere.
SionSIT / LSGS2,538 kmEighty-nine kilometres shorter and, for anybody leaving Verbier, Crans-Montana or the Valais generally, an hour or more saved on the road before the flight even begins. A smaller field with its own operating constraints and shallower handling, so it is planned rather than picked on the day. When it does fit, nothing else on this page saves as much of your time.
LarnacaLCA / LCLKarrivalWhere the sector ends and where we work. The island’s main business-aviation gateway, and the field that puts you nearest Nicosia, the eastern half of Limassol, Ayia Napa and Protaras. Our operations desk is on the airfield and staffed 24 hours, so the arrival hour is something we schedule rather than something we survive.
PaphosPFO / LCPH2,555 km from GenevaSeventy-two kilometres shorter in the air, which vanishes inside a four-hour estimate, and roughly an hour further west on the ground. It is the right answer for Paphos, Polis, Latchi and the Akamas. Handling and aircraft choice are thinner there, so it wants raising with the dates rather than at the end of the conversation.

On documents, this pairing has a small trap in it. Switzerland is inside the Schengen area and outside the European Union; Cyprus is inside the European Union and outside Schengen. Neither end is therefore a formality: passports are checked on departure and again on arrival, and because the flight leaves the Union’s customs territory and re-enters it, the customs position is worth settling in advance rather than discovering at the steps — which matters more than usual on a route that carries files, equipment and occasionally things of value. The checks themselves are conducted beside the aeroplane at business-aviation terminals and take minutes. What we need from you is the complete passenger list with passport details in good time.

Larnaca does not appear in the EBAA European top fifty for 2023. Ground arrangements are confirmed against your dates rather than against a general rule.

Aircraft for Geneva to Larnaca

2,627 km with a cabin in use is super-midsize work. On this particular route the specification that most often decides the answer is not seat count but what the party is carrying and how much of the flight is meant to be usable: a Geneva departure is frequently the working part of the day rather than the rest before it, and a cabin you can hold a conversation in without raising your voice is worth more here than an extra pair of seats.

Bombardier Challenger 350

Eight to ten seats, a wide flat-floor cabin and enough range that weather at either end is a routine planning item rather than a fuel calculation. The one we propose first for a party travelling on business with papers open.

See the Bombardier Challenger 350 ›

Gulfstream G280

Eight to ten seats and the quickest of this group. Worth asking for specifically when the meeting in Cyprus is at a fixed hour and the margin matters more than the rate — on a winter morning that can leave slowly, speed is insurance rather than vanity.

See the Gulfstream G280 ›

Embraer Legacy 500

A notably quiet cabin with much the same reach. It is often the aircraft genuinely free on your date when the others are committed elsewhere, and we would rather offer it than ask you to move a meeting.

See the Embraer Legacy 500 ›

All three have their own pages in our fleet, and the seat and cabin figures there are what we quote from. Heavier cabins fly this sector routinely too. If the departure is from Sion rather than Geneva, say so at the outset: it narrows the list of suitable aircraft and qualified crews considerably. How many people a given cabin really takes is set out on our passenger capacity page.

What it costs

From €22 700 one way, whole aircraft. That is the lowest published reference we hold for the pairing and it belongs to a small cabin; read it as the bottom of a range rather than as an offer. Tell us the dates and a written figure follows within 30 minutes.

Four published numbers exist for these two airports and they are not four opinions about the same thing. Three are whole-aircraft charter references across three cabin sizes, and they spread by more than half from the smallest to the largest. The fourth is ours, it is much lower than any of them, and it is an empty leg — a different product wearing a similar label.

The spread between 22,700 and 35,000 EUR is the aeroplane, not the kilometres. That is the single most useful thing to understand before you compare quotations: two honest quotes for the same flight on the same day can differ by a third simply because one of them proposes a cabin you would rather be in. Ask what aircraft each number refers to before you ask why one is higher.

Our own 10,000 EUR figure needs its label read carefully. It was a Citation Bravo that had to make that flight anyway, with the cabin sold rather than flown empty, and it ran from Larnaca to Geneva — the opposite of the direction this page is about. It is a real published price and it is not a rate anybody can reproduce to order. On this pairing more than most, the calendar carries the weight: ground space at Geneva in mid-January and ground space at Geneva in mid-May are two different commodities that happen to share a name, and any quotation written honestly will reflect it. If your dates have room in them, this is the route on which to spend that flexibility.

When to fly, and when to book early

Read from the Geneva end, the calendar on this pairing is unusually double-sided. The winter difficulty belongs to the departure — slots and stands in a city that half of Europe is trying to reach — while the summer difficulty belongs to the arrival, where the island is the popular address. The two quiet shoulders in between are the best-kept secret on the route.

PeriodWhere the difficulty sitsWhat to do about it
Late December to early MarchAt the Swiss end. Geneva is slot-coordinated and in the Alpine season the stand is allocated rather than available; the fortnight around the New Year and the February half-terms are the hardest of all. Aircraft are concentrated in western Europe, which helps a departure and hurts nothing on this direction.Four to six weeks for the difficult dates. If the party is coming down from the Valais, ask about Sion at the start of the conversation rather than at the end of it.
April to May, and October to NovemberNowhere in particular, which is the point. Geneva is quiet, Cyprus is warm, and a super-midsize cabin can usually be placed at a few days’ notice in either direction.A week is plenty. If your dates can move at all, move them into these weeks — on this pairing that flexibility is worth real money.
June to SeptemberAt the Cyprus end. The Mediterranean season runs towards the island, so the scarce items at Larnaca are parking and ground handling rather than aircraft. Southbound is the popular direction in these weeks.Ask about handling and a stand at Larnaca in the same conversation as the aeroplane, and commit three to four weeks out when the date is immovable.
The January meeting seasonOn the hour rather than the day. Geneva and the region around it carry a heavy institutional and conference load in January, layered on top of the ski traffic. It rarely prevents a flight; it removes the convenient departure hours.Name the hour you must be on the ground in Cyprus and let the departure be derived from it. We confirm the window before you commit to anything that hangs off it.

Seasonality classification: routes_shortlist.csv, Diamond Executive Aero Services route research, 23 August 2026. Geneva movement count: EBAA 2023. This describes a pattern rather than a promise; your particular week is checked against the aircraft and the fields before we quote it.

Where you actually end up

Cyprus is small enough that the drive at the end is rarely a problem — unless the aeroplane has put you down at the wrong end of it. The choice of arrival field is worth a great deal more than the few minutes it changes in the air, and it is a conversation for the moment you send the dates rather than for the moment you land.

Limassol and the south coast

About 45 minutes by road from Larnaca. This is where much of the island’s shipping, legal and fund-management business physically sits, and on a Geneva departure it is the commonest address of all.

Nicosia, Ayia Napa and the east

North and east of the airport, and the shortest drives available. Larnaca is the practical field for all of them; we give you the road time alongside the quotation rather than guessing at it on a web page.

Paphos and the west

Well over an hour of driving from Larnaca, which is enough to change the whole answer. If the week is being spent in the west, we price the sector into Paphos instead — 2,555 km from Geneva rather than 2,627 km.

Or not by road at all

We arrange helicopters as well as aeroplanes, at our own published rates from 750 EUR per hour on a Eurocopter AS350. A short second sector added to this one usually costs less than the same flight ordered separately.

Questions we get about this route

How long is Geneva to Larnaca by private jet?
About 3 hours 44 minutes non-stop over 2,627 km, and the same figure is published for the leg in the other direction. It is a modelled estimate rather than a measured block time: the model is fitted to flight times already published on this website and it takes no view of direction. Sion is 2,538 km from Larnaca and Paphos is 2,555 km from Geneva. Allow roughly fifteen minutes on the ground at each end.
Why is a January departure harder than a May one?
Because the constraint is the ground rather than the air. Geneva is slot-coordinated and handled 34,273 business-aviation movements in 2023, a large share of them between Christmas and early March; in that window a parking stand is allocated rather than simply available, and an aircraft that is not already standing somewhere sensible has to get there. None of that applies in May, when the same trip is straightforward at a few days’ notice. If the date can move, this is the pairing on which moving it is worth the most.
Can we leave from Sion instead of Geneva?
If the party is coming down from Verbier, Crans-Montana or anywhere in the Valais, ask about it. The sector out of Sion measures 2,538 km against the 2,627 km from Geneva, which is worth a handful of minutes aloft and can save an hour or more of mountain road before anybody boards. It is a smaller field with its own operating constraints, fewer suitable aircraft and a requirement for properly qualified crews, so it has to be planned rather than chosen on the morning. If Geneva is where you already are, Geneva is the answer.
What are the border formalities in this direction?
Switzerland is in the Schengen area but not in the European Union; Cyprus is in the European Union but not in the Schengen area. Passports are therefore checked on departure and again on arrival, and the flight leaves the Union’s customs territory and re-enters it, so the customs position is worth settling in advance rather than at the aircraft steps — particularly if anything in the hold is declarable. At business-aviation terminals the checks themselves take minutes beside the aeroplane. Send the complete passenger list with passport details well before the day.
What does the whole aircraft cost?
Three whole-aircraft references are published for these two airports and the cabin is what separates them: about 22,700 EUR on a Citation CJ4, roughly 28,800 EUR on a Legacy 500 and around 35,000 EUR on a Gulfstream G200, each for a single leg and each retrieved in August 2026. European hourly rates for this class of cabin are published at roughly 8,700 to 15,000 EUR. Not one of those numbers is an offer from us and not one was written with your dates in front of it — a quotation in writing is.
Your own table shows 10,000 EUR for this pairing. Can we have that price?
That was an empty leg, and the label matters. A Citation Bravo had to make the flight anyway and the cabin was sold rather than flown empty; it ran from Larnaca to Geneva, which is the opposite direction to this page. It is a genuine published price and it is not something we can conjure again to order, because it existed at all only on account of where that particular aeroplane had to be that week. Flexible dates make empty legs on this corridor worth watching. Fixed dates make the charter references above the numbers that actually apply to you.
We are arriving from the French side of the border. Does that change anything?
Not for the flight. The aeroplane departs from Swiss soil and the paperwork follows the aeroplane rather than the hotel, so the formalities are the Swiss ones described above whichever side of the border the morning began on. What it does change is your own timing on the ground, and that is the part worth building margin into: we recommend arriving thirty to forty minutes before departure rather than the fifteen that is technically possible, precisely so that road traffic does not become a scheduling problem.
Which field should we land at in Cyprus?
Larnaca for Nicosia, the eastern half of Limassol, Ayia Napa and Protaras, which covers most of this traffic; Limassol is about 45 minutes away by road. Paphos for the west of the island — Paphos itself, Coral Bay, Polis, Latchi and the Akamas — where landing at Larnaca instead would hand back much of the time the flight bought you. Paphos is 2,555 km from Geneva against Larnaca’s 2,627 km, so in the air the choice costs almost nothing; on the ground it is well over an hour. Handling and aircraft availability at Paphos are thinner, so ask early.
How late can we book?
Outside the Alpine season, later than most people expect. Given an aeroplane that is free and a slot that agrees with it, a few hours between confirmation and wheels-up is realistic, and the Cyprus half of the arrangement moves quickest because the desk doing it is ours. Between Christmas and March the limiting factor sits in Switzerland rather than with us, and we would rather say so at the outset. Ring +357 95 119759 at any hour: you get a yes or a no on the timing inside the same conversation, not a promise followed later by a correction.
