Nice to Geneva is a 300 km northbound hop of about 0 h 48, Nice Cote d'Azur to Geneva, and a light jet is the right aircraft for it. From €5 800 for the whole aircraft, one way. Tell us the date and the number of seats and a written quotation follows within 30 minutes; the operations desk is staffed at every hour on +357 95 119759.
Coast at the wheels-up, mountains on the descent. Fifty minutes northbound off the Cote d'Azur into the field that serves the western Alps and the Lake Geneva shore - for some passengers the end of the trip, for a good many others the point where a longer journey continues. Whole aircraft, by the seat, or on an empty leg when one is running your way.
REQUEST A QUOTEAlmost nobody flies this pairing once. Geneva-Nice was ranked third in Europe by WingX-Advance on 2013 data, at 69 flights a month one way and 71 the other, and the operator brokers named it its single busiest city pair in September 2024. Northbound the pull is seasonal and it is not the same pull as southbound: Geneva took 34,273 business-aviation movements in 2023 against 37,425 at Nice, the two fields peak in opposite halves of the year, and the aircraft spend the rest of it moving between them.
The departure end offers you a genuine choice and the arrival end does not. Geneva is the only jet field that makes sense for where you are going; Nice or Cannes is a question of where you are starting from that morning.
| Airport | Codes | Great-circle | Suits you if |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nice Cote d'Azur | NCE / LFMN | departure | The usual departure, and the point the 300 km on this page is measured from. Europe's second busiest business-aviation airport, with a business terminal separate from the scheduled ones, so the walk from car to aircraft is short. If you are coming from Monaco, the helicopter transfer into Nice is the standard way of doing it. |
| Cannes Mandelieu | CEQ / LFMD | 306 km | The other way out of the Riviera, and worth naming if you are starting from the Croisette rather than from Nice: twenty-four kilometres further west, 306 km to Geneva against 300, which is no difference at all in the air. It takes business jets up to a certain size, so tell us the group and the luggage and we will say whether your aircraft can lift from there. |
| Geneva | GVA / LSGG | arrival | Where the sector ends, and the reason most people fly it. It is the only jet field that makes sense for the western Alps and the Lake Geneva shore: in winter this is the arrival airport for Verbier, Megeve and Chamonix, and the drive up the valley is the part of the journey worth planning around. Geneva has both a Swiss and a French sector, which decides which side of the border you step out on - tell us where you are heading and we will have you handled on the right one. |

Three hundred kilometres is a light jet and nothing more. Going north the aircraft climbs off the coast, crosses, and starts down into the Alps almost at once; the cruise is measured in minutes, so a larger cabin buys you a larger invoice rather than a shorter flight. What is worth thinking about instead is the luggage, because a good share of northbound parties in winter are travelling with ski bags.
Six to eight passengers and 2.27 cubic metres of hold - the largest of the three here, and the one to ask for when the party is going north with winter luggage. It is also the type most often free at Geneva at short notice, which on this direction means it more often reaches you as a positioning leg than as an aircraft already standing at Nice.
See the Embraer Phenom 300 ›Six to seven passengers, and the cheapest honest answer on a fifty-minute sector: you are buying engine time, and there is not much of it to buy. If the trip north is a day return, this is usually the type that makes the arithmetic work.
See the Cessna Citation CJ2+ ›Six to seven passengers with a 2.07 cubic metre hold. Quiet and unhurried, which suits a leisure crossing with real luggage rather than a same-day business run. It is the type in our own published Larnaca-Geneva empty-leg example, so it is a realistic thing to ask about when you want a repositioning flight into Geneva rather than a charter.
See the Citation Bravo ›All three types are on our own fleet pages. If the group is larger, a Citation XLS+ or Hawker 800XP flies the same sector without difficulty.

This pairing carries more published broker reference prices than almost any other short sector in Europe, and they do not agree between the two directions. The three figures at the top of the table are the southbound ones. Yours is the row marked northbound, and brokers publish it dearer - that is normal, and it is a statement about where the aircraft has to be next rather than about the flying.
| Reference | Aircraft | Indicative price | Source |

| This direction, northbound | Nice to Geneva, same three types | approx. 6,000 / 11,700 / 14,400 EUR | brokers, retrieved 23.08.2026. Dearer northbound than southbound - normal, and a function of where the aircraft has to be next |

The two high seasons on this pairing belong to opposite ends of it, and northbound you are flying towards whichever of them is in progress. In winter that is the busy end; in summer you are leaving it.
| Period | What happens | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| December to March | The Alpine season at the far end. Northbound this is the loaded direction - Riviera residents going up to the snow, and aircraft being positioned towards Geneva to feed the ski traffic. | Book a Saturday three to four weeks out. Midweek northbound is usually still there at a few days' notice. |
| May | The Riviera's heaviest fortnight, with the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix falling within two weeks of each other. Northbound in these weeks is largely people leaving once their event has finished. | Six to eight weeks. The binding constraint is at your end, not Geneva's: Nice slots and Riviera handling run out well before aircraft do. |
| June to September | The Mediterranean season, and the quieter direction for you. Nice topped the European business-aviation airport table in August and September 2021 in EUROCONTROL's count, but most of that weight is arriving rather than leaving. | Two to three weeks for a weekend. The southbound Friday-evening rush is the pinch point at the other end, and the aircraft feeding it have to get north again - ask us what is running your way that day. |
| October, November, April | Neither end is at its peak and the corridor between Geneva, Nice and London is full of aircraft repositioning. | The best empty-leg window of the year on this pairing, in either direction. Give us a range of dates rather than one and we will watch the northbound movements. |

For a large share of the people on this northbound leg, Geneva is a connection rather than a destination.
The commonest thing to do next after landing here. If the onward leg is booked with the same trip, the aircraft that carried you north can often carry straight on rather than be replaced.
Geneva to London ›A short second sector, and one worth quoting together with this one: two legs booked as one trip usually price better than two separate one-way charters.
Geneva to Paris ›The long onward leg. It is a different class of aircraft from the light jet that brings you up from the coast, so tell us about it at the outset and we will build the whole itinerary rather than two unrelated flights.
Geneva to Dubai ›Tell us your dates and how many of you there are. Your dedicated flight advisor will come back with aircraft options and a firm price.
