Private Jet Charter Ibiza to Geneva

Ibiza to Geneva by private jet takes about 1 h 33 min over 906 km, Ibiza to Geneva, normally on a light / midsize jet. Indicative price from €6 600 for the whole aircraft, one way. We quote against your dates within 30 minutes and the operations desk answers around the clock on +357 95 119759.

The leg back north off the island - about 1 h 33 over 906 km on a light or midsize cabin. The flying is the simple part. What repays a little thought is where you put the aircraft down at the other end, because Geneva is not always the field that leaves you closest to the door.

The route at a glance

This corridor is unusual in having two seasons instead of one, and on the northbound leg they behave quite differently from each other. Geneva recorded 34,273 business-aviation movements in 2023 and Ibiza 14,383, both inside the EBAA top fifty, and the same light and midsize fleet serves the Alpine peak from December to March and the Mediterranean one from June to September. Twice a year that fleet physically moves between the two, and in autumn it moves in exactly the direction this page describes - which is why the leg home is so often the cheap half of a trip.

Distance is the great-circle figure between airport coordinates. Flight time is an estimate, not a measured block time: it comes from a simple model fitted to the flight times Diamond Executive Aero Services already publishes on this website, and it will move with routing, wind, slots and aircraft type. Your quotation carries the real schedule.

Which airports we use

The departure is settled - Ibiza has one field and everybody uses it. The arrival is a genuine choice, and it is the reason this section exists: Geneva sits directly on the Swiss-French border and serves the resorts on both sides, but if your week ends in the mountains rather than at the lake there are three nearer fields, and landing at one of them saves a drive that can cost more time than the flight itself.

AirportCodesDistanceSuits you if
IbizaIBZ / LEIB906 kmWhere the trip starts. One runway, one terminal, and for about ten weeks a year more demand than there are stands - so in high season the departure slot and the handling window are booked before anything else. If you are coming from Formentera, the port transfer is a boat and it needs to be in the plan rather than remembered on the morning.
GenevaGVA / LSGGarrivalThe usual arrival, and the gateway airport for the western Alps on both the Swiss and the French side. It carries the deepest choice of aircraft on any given winter day, which matters if you want the same aeroplane to take you somewhere else afterwards. Landing here means arriving in Switzerland - see the customs point in the questions below if anything of value is travelling with you.
Chambery Savoie Mont BlancCMF / LFLBarrival alternativeLand here if the week ends in the Tarentaise - Courchevel, Meribel, Val d'Isere - and you would rather not drive back round the lake. It is also the shortest of the four sectors from Ibiza, so it saves a little in the air as well as a good deal on the road.
Annecy Mont BlancNCY / LFLParrival alternativeFor Haute-Savoie and Annecy itself. It is a smaller field than the others, so what can use it depends on the aeroplane: send us the party size and the luggage with the dates and we will confirm what will fit rather than assume.
SionSIR / LSGSarrival alternativeFor the Valais - Verbier, Crans-Montana, Zermatt. Worth asking about before you count on it: mountain fields carry their own weather and their own operating limits, and those are decided on the day rather than in advance.

Aircraft for Ibiza to Geneva

At 906 km, or 489 nautical miles, this sector sits on the line between light and midsize, and 1 h 33 in the air is short enough that a light cabin is perfectly comfortable. So the type is chosen by what is going home with you rather than by the distance - and on the northbound leg in September the hold is usually fuller than it was on the way out.

Embraer Phenom 300

The natural light jet for this sector and one of the commonest types on the Alpine circuit, which means that in winter there are usually several within reach of the far end. Hold enough for a fortnight of cases in September or ski bags on the February version of this trip.

See the Phenom 300 ›

Cessna Citation XLS+

The step up to a stand-up cabin, and the type we most often propose when a group is travelling together rather than a couple. It also handles a full hold better on a warm-day departure, which is what an August lunchtime out of Ibiza is.

See the Citation XLS+ ›

Hawker 800XP

A wider cabin with a full galley and a separate lavatory. Worth the money when the party is large, when the stay has been a fortnight and it shows in the luggage, or when the same aircraft is carrying on somewhere after Geneva.

All three types are on our own fleet pages. Larger cabins are available on this route if the group needs them.

What it costs

From €6 600 one way. Indicative starting price for this route, rounded down. The date, the aircraft actually available and airport fees move it — tell us your dates and we confirm within 30 minutes.

There is no published route price for Ibiza to Geneva that we would repeat back to you, and the reason is worth stating plainly: this pair swings between two entirely different markets across the year, so a single headline figure would be wrong for at least half of it.

What moves the number most on the northbound leg is whether the aircraft was going your way anyway. In autumn it very often was - the fleet drifts back north towards the Alps for the winter, and a seat on that migration is the cheapest form this route takes. In high summer the position is different: plenty of jets are working the Balearics, but Ibiza cannot park them all, so the aeroplane that drops a party and leaves is frequently better priced than the one that has waited on the island for you. In midwinter it reverses again, because most of the light and midsize fleet is sitting around Geneva for the ski season and an aircraft would have to come down empty to collect you. Ask us to price the leg both as a stand-alone charter and as part of a repositioning flight, and compare - on this corridor the two are not close.

Published hourly references exist for the class and we reprint them so that you have something to hold a quotation against: brokers quote EUR 4,600-9,700 per hour across light to midsize jets in Europe, others quote from EUR 2,900-3,500 per hour (19.02.2026) and brokers USD 3,750-4,600 per hour (August 2026). Read them as rates for a category of aeroplane rather than as a price for this sector. They take no account of landing and handling, of the Spanish airport charges at the departure end, or of a night on the ground at Ibiza in high season - which is the line most likely to surprise anyone who has only budgeted for flying time.

The figures above are third-party hourly references for the aircraft class, shown so you can sanity-check any quotation you receive, ours included. They are not our offer and they are binding on nobody. Only a written quotation from Diamond Executive Aero Services, against your dates, is a price. Call +357 95 119759, 24/7.

When to fly, and when to book early

Two peaks at opposite ends of the year, pulling in opposite directions, and on the way north the useful months are the ones between them. December to March is the Alpine peak, June to September the Mediterranean one; April, May, October and November are when the fleet is in transit.

PeriodWhat happensWhat to do
December to MarchThe Alpine season. Geneva is at its busiest and the fleet has concentrated there, but the island is out of season and quiet, so northbound there is very little traffic to compete with - and very little standing at Ibiza to carry you.A cheap time to make this flight if you actually want to make it. Expect the aircraft to come down for you, and ask early enough for that to be arranged calmly.
April and MayThe changeover, and it runs against you. Ski traffic collapses, the Balearics have not started, and operators are moving aircraft south to reposition for summer - so the repositioning flights in these weeks are pointing the other way.Ask anyway, but ask early. If the dates are firm this is a straightforward charter rather than a bargain.
June to SeptemberThe Mediterranean peak. Ibiza takes an enormous seasonal load on one runway for about ten weeks, and what runs short is slots, handling windows and overnight stands rather than aircraft.Book well ahead for a July or August departure, and fix the outbound slot before anything else. If the aeroplane does not need to spend the night on the island, say so - it is the easiest saving on this route.
October and NovemberThe island empties, the Alps have not opened, and the fleet drifts back north towards Geneva for the winter. The repositioning now runs in exactly the direction you are flying. The best empty-leg window on this corridor for anyone coming home. Give us a flexible week and we will watch for a flight going your way.

Onward from Geneva

For a good number of passengers Geneva is a connection rather than a destination. These are the legs most often added on after this one, and in most cases the aircraft that brought you north can carry straight on.

Geneva to Nice

South again, to the Riviera, on the same aeroplane and usually on the same day. The commonest addition when the trip is not finished at the lake.

Geneva to Nice ›

Geneva to London

The onward leg for anyone whose week ends in the UK rather than in the Alps. Worth pricing together with this sector rather than separately afterwards.

Geneva to London ›

Geneva to Paris

The short northern hop, and an easy continuation if part of the party is going on while the rest stays. Tell us at the enquiry and we will quote the two legs as one trip.

Questions we get about this route

How long does Ibiza to Geneva take by private jet?
About 1 hour 33 minutes over 906 km on a light or midsize jet. That is an estimate from a model fitted to the flight times this website already publishes, not a measured block time, and it moves with routing, wind and aircraft type. Allow roughly fifteen minutes on the ground at each end - and rather more than that at the Ibiza end on an August weekend, where the queue is on the ground rather than in the air.
Should we land at Geneva or somewhere nearer the resort?
It depends where the week ends. Geneva serves the western Alps on both the Swiss and the French side and carries the widest choice of aircraft, so it suits most people. If you are in the Tarentaise - Courchevel, Meribel, Val d'Isere - Chambery saves the drive round the lake and is also the shortest sector of the four from Ibiza. Annecy suits Haute-Savoie, though it is a smaller field and what can use it depends on the party and the luggage. Sion suits the Valais, Verbier, Crans-Montana and Zermatt, with the caveat that mountain fields have their own weather and operating limits. Tell us the address and we will name the field rather than the airport code.
Switzerland is not in the EU - does that affect the arrival?
Not at the passport desk. Switzerland is outside the European Union but inside the Schengen area, and Spain is in both, so there is no border to arrange for this flight. Customs is the part to remember, because Switzerland is not in the EU customs union and goods rules apply on arrival in a way they would not on a Spain to France leg. If anything of significant value is travelling with you - art, jewellery, commercial samples - tell us before the day and the handling agents will brief you properly rather than at the aircraft steps.
Why is the leg home often cheaper than the leg out?
Because in autumn it is the direction the aircraft was going anyway. The same light and midsize fleet works the Alps in winter and the Balearics in summer, so twice a year it migrates, and from October the migration runs north. A repositioning flight with nobody in the cabin is an empty leg, and brokers publish discounts of 50 to 75 percent on them. In April and May the same effect works against this direction, because the fleet is moving south.
Are there empty legs going north from Ibiza?
More than on most European pairs, and October and November are the months to ask - that is when the fleet drifts back towards Geneva for the winter and those flights have nobody aboard. April and May produce the same volume of repositioning in the opposite direction, so they are less use to you. Give us a week you can move within rather than a single date. Current empty legs.
What does it cost?
The figure at the top of the price section is a floor, not a fixed price, because February and August on this pair are not the same market. As a class reference, brokers quote EUR 4,600-9,700 per hour across light to midsize jets in Europe, others from EUR 2,900-3,500 per hour (19.02.2026) and USD 3,750-4,600 per hour (August 2026). Those are hourly rates for a category of aircraft and not a price for this sector. What decides your number is where the aeroplane starts and whether it has been waiting for you. Ask us for a quotation.
Is getting out of Ibiza in August the hard part?
In high season, yes, and it is a ground problem rather than an aircraft problem. Ibiza is a small island airport carrying a very large seasonal load for roughly ten weeks, and what runs out is slots, handling windows and overnight stands - not jets. That is why we ask early whether your aircraft needs to spend the night on the island. A departure can often be arranged when an overnight stand cannot.
How late can we book the flight home, and what about the luggage?
Outside the two peaks we can usually have you airborne within a few hours of confirmation. In July and August at the Ibiza end, plan in days rather than hours. Tell us what is travelling when you enquire: on this route the hold decides the aircraft, whether that is ski bags in February or a fortnight of cases in September, and it is much easier to size the aeroplane correctly at the enquiry than to change it the night before. The desk is staffed 24 hours a day on +357 95 119759.
