The route at a glance

Nice recorded 37,425 business-aviation movements in 2023, second in Europe behind Paris Le Bourget alone (EBAA 2023). There is no comparable published count for the Dubai end - the EBAA tables cover Europe only - so this page does not print one. Two things follow for a westbound arrival. The aircraft is rarely the constraint at this end, but the summer slot can be; and the upper winds over the Middle East and Europe are predominantly westerly, so this leg usually flies into them. On a sector of 4,785 km that is worth up to half an hour against you compared with the outbound.

Distance is the great-circle figure between airport coordinates. Flight time is an estimate, not a measured block time: it comes from a simple model fitted to the flight times Diamond Executive Aero Services already publishes on this website, and it will move with routing, wind, slots and aircraft type. Your quotation carries the real schedule.

Which airports we use

Neither end is a dedicated business-aviation field, and at both of them private traffic is handled to one side of the scheduled terminals - which is better than it sounds, because it means full customs and immigration at any hour. The departure end is the simpler half of this page: which Dubai field you leave from is usually decided before you ask, because of where the aircraft has been parked. The arrival is where the choice actually sits, and it is a choice about the coast rather than about the airport.

Dubai InternationalDXB / OMDBDepartureThe arrival recorded for this route in our own route data, and the airport all the distances and times on this page are calculated to. If a different field in the emirates suits your destination better, ask us - but we will quote that separately rather than reprint these figures against it.
Nice Côte d'AzurNCE / LFMNarrival37,425 business-aviation movements in 2023, second in Europe (EBAA 2023), with a business terminal kept apart from the scheduled ones. Arriving from the UAE this is an external Schengen crossing, so passport control applies; at the business terminal it happens beside the aircraft and takes minutes rather than the length of a hall. Where you are actually going decides the rest of the evening: Monaco is a helicopter transfer rather than a drive, and in July and August that transfer is the dependable half of the journey. Cannes Mandelieu (CEQ / LFMD) is 24 km further west and is a different arrival field, not a detail of this one - if the party is heading for the Croisette, say so before the arrival is fixed.

The second Dubai airport, and why you may be leaving from it

Dubai has two airports and both take business jets, so on a departure the question is not which one we prefer - it is where your aircraft spent the night. Dubai International is what we quote unless something has moved it. Al Maktoum International (DWC / OMDW) sits twenty nautical miles south-west of the city, open around the clock, with its own customs and immigration and a 4,500 m runway.

One rule decides this more often than anything else, and it is worth knowing before you plan the morning. Under Dubai International's own conditions of use, a business jet on the ground there for more than twenty-four hours has to be relocated to Al Maktoum. If you flew in three days ago, your aeroplane is almost certainly at Al Maktoum now, and that is where the trip home starts - not because of a preference, but because of a parking rule you never saw. Slots matter too: Dubai International is level 3 slot-coordinated, where every movement needs an allocated slot, while Al Maktoum is level 2, where a slot is agreed rather than rationed. On a departure that difference shows up as how much freedom you have over the hour of the wheels-up, which on a westbound leg decides what time you reach the Riviera.

The flying is the same either way - less than a minute and a half apart at cruise, inside the error of any estimate on this page. The drive to the aircraft is not. Al Maktoum is the closer of the two to Dubai Marina and the Palm and the farther from Downtown and the financial district, so the field your aeroplane is parked at can add or remove three quarters of an hour at your end of the day. Tell us where you will be staying and we will say what that means for the departure time rather than discovering it on the morning.

Aircraft for Dubai to Nice

At 4,785 km range is the first constraint and everything else comes after it. A midsize cabin cannot make this nonstop, and a technical stop turns a six-and-a-half-hour flight into a nine-hour day with a fuel bill at an airport nobody wanted to visit. All three types below cross in one leg.

Gulfstream G550

Our fleet page lists 13 to 19 passengers. The obvious answer when the party is large or when the same aircraft has to bring everybody home later in the week - at this distance the G550 is nowhere near its limits, so payload and fuel stop competing with each other.

See the Gulfstream G550 ›

Global 5000

Listed at 13 to 14 passengers on our fleet page. A quieter cabin than the seat count suggests, and the type people ask for when the six and a half hours are meant to be worked rather than slept through. Ask about the cabin communications fit when you enquire; it varies aircraft by aircraft.

See the Global 5000 ›

Falcon 7X

Listed at 13 to 16 passengers. Three engines rather than two, which some passengers care about over water and desert and others do not think about at all. It also gets into shorter runways than the other two, which matters more for where you go next - Cannes Mandelieu, for instance - than for Nice or Dubai.

All three types have their own pages on this site. Passenger figures above are taken from those pages, not from a manufacturer brochure.

What it costs

From €51 200 one way. Indicative starting price for this route, rounded down. The date, the aircraft actually available and airport fees move it — tell us your dates and we confirm within 30 minutes.

We have found no published price for Dubai to Nice from a source we would be prepared to reprint, so treat the figure above as a floor rather than a quotation. What follows is what actually sets the number on a sector this long.

On a six-and-a-half-hour sector the flying really is the bulk of the bill, which makes this route behave very differently from the short European hops elsewhere on this site. Landing and handling fees stop being decisive; the aircraft's hourly cost, the crew duty day and the positioning legs at each end take over. Two things move the number more than anything else. The first is whether the aircraft is already in the right hemisphere: a long-range jet finishing a trip in the Gulf is a different proposition from one that has to be flown down empty to collect you, and in the Riviera season that gap widens, because the European fleet is worth more where it already is. The second is the return. If you are back inside a few days, keeping the aircraft and crew with you in Dubai is often cheaper than two separate one-way sectors, because it saves a positioning leg at both ends rather than one. Tell us the shape of the whole trip, not just the outbound.

Published market rates for long-range jets in Europe run from about 8,500 EUR an hour at the bottom of the published range to 20,100 EUR an hour at the top; dollar-quoted sources put the same class at 12,000 to 17,000 USD an hour. Those are published market rates collected from broker price pages in August 2026, not our rates, and they are shown only so that you have something to measure a quotation against.

We have not found a published price for this exact city pair that we would be willing to reprint, so this page carries none. A number invented to fill a table is worse than no number at all. Tell us your dates and passenger count and you will have a real one, in writing, from our operations desk on +357 95 119759, 24/7.

When to fly, and when to book early

On this direction the busy window belongs to the arrival end, and it runs from June to September. Those are the weeks the Riviera fills, and they are worth planning around for a reason that has nothing to do with the aeroplane: on a field with 37,425 business-aviation movements a year, the summer arrival slot and the parking stand are the contested items, not the cabin.

PeriodWhat happensWhat to do
December to MarchThe Riviera is out of season and the Gulf is at its busiest, which is the easier combination of the two for this direction: aircraft are leaving the Gulf anyway, and you are going the way the empty legs already point. The coast is quieter when you land, which some passengers come for deliberately.Book four to six weeks out, and expect the aircraft to be confirmed later than the price. Saturdays are the worst day of the week to ask.
June to SeptemberThe peak on this direction. Gulf traffic runs towards Europe rather than away from it in these months, which is good news for you: the empty capacity is pointing the same way you are. It is the return that gets awkward, not the outbound. Two to three weeks is usually enough. Ask about the return direction separately - it can price quite differently from this leg.
April, May, October, NovemberThe quiet shoulder at both ends, and the part of the year when aircraft are repositioning between the European season and the Gulf one.The best months to ask about an empty leg, and the best months to get a long-range cabin at short notice.

Seasonality for this pairing is taken from our own route research file for diamond.aero, which classifies each published route by its demand window. Movement counts are EBAA 2023 as published by Private Jet Card Comparisons, 4 June 2024.

Questions we get about this route

How long is the flight from Dubai to Nice by private jet?
About 6 hours 26 minutes over a great-circle distance of 4,785 km. That is an estimate from a model fitted to the flight times we publish ourselves, not a measured block time, and on a sector this long the wind alone can move it by half an hour in either direction. Your quotation carries the schedule we will actually fly.
Can a smaller jet do Dubai to Nice nonstop?
Not in the categories we would put you on. At 4,785 km this is a long-range sector, which is why the three aircraft on this page are all long-range types. A midsize cabin would need a technical stop, and the hour or so on the ground plus the fuel uplift usually costs more than the difference in hourly rate saved.
How much does a private jet from Dubai to Nice cost?
We have not found a published price for this city pair that we would be prepared to reprint, so the figure at the top of the price section is a floor we have calculated, not a quotation. Published market rates for long-range jets in Europe run from about 8,500 EUR an hour to 20,100 EUR an hour, which gives you the width of the band. The real number depends on your dates and on where a suitable aircraft happens to be.
Which airport in Dubai do you fly into?
The distances, times and prices on this page are all calculated to Dubai International, DXB / OMDB, because that is the airport recorded for this route in our route data. Business aviation there is handled away from the scheduled concourses. If another field in the emirates is closer to where you are going, tell us and we will quote it as its own sector rather than reuse these figures.
Can I get an empty leg between Dubai and Nice?
An empty leg is a repositioning flight with nobody in the cabin - an aircraft that has dropped a party and has to be somewhere else. The discount brokers publish on them is 50 to 75 percent. On this pairing they are most likely in May and early June, and again in late September, when long-range aircraft reposition between the Gulf season and the Riviera one. It is worth asking if your dates are flexible by a day or two either side. Current empty legs.
How late can I book Dubai to Nice?
Later than most people expect, but not as late as a European hop. The constraint is not the aircraft so much as the crew duty day and the overflight and landing permits, which on a Gulf sector take longer to arrange than an intra-European one. Give us as much of the day as you can and the desk will tell you honestly what is possible. We are staffed around the clock on +357 95 119759.
Can we sleep on board?
On a six-and-a-half-hour night sector, yes, and it is the main reason people take a long-range cabin rather than the cheapest aircraft that will make the distance. Whether a particular aeroplane has a proper divan that converts, and how many of them, varies aircraft by aircraft rather than by type. Tell us at the enquiry stage that you intend to sleep and we will check the actual cabin before we offer it.
Can I book a last-minute private jet from Dubai to Nice?
Often yes, and this is the most common way this route is booked. A last-minute charter means the aircraft, the crew and the airport slots have to line up at short notice: when they do, we have put people in the air within a few hours of the first call. What decides it is where a suitable aircraft happens to be and whether the windows at both ends are open, not our willingness. Call the operations desk on +357 95 119759 — it answers around the clock — and we will tell you straight away whether your timing is achievable rather than promise and check later. Last-minute empty legs on this corridor are worth asking about at the same time.
