The odd one out in the light group, and the reason it is worth asking about: 1.80 m of cabin width and 1.75 m of cabin height, which are midsize-jet numbers in a light-jet aircraft. The trade is speed and range - 737 km/h and 2,791 km, both the lowest we publish. On short European sectors that trade is often the right one.
REQUEST A QUOTEEvery figure in this block is copied from the specification table on our own fleet page for this type. Nothing here is a manufacturer brochure number and nothing has been rounded up.
2,791 km of published range and 737 km/h of cruise - the shortest legs but one and the slowest cruise on our fleet page. Thirty-seven of our forty-eight routes are inside the range, and the eleven that are not are all worth naming.
Beyond it are the seven Gulf sectors, the two Cyprus runs from London - London to Larnaca at 3,288 km and London to Paphos at 3,228 km - and Athens to Dubai at 3,273 km. Two more are inside on paper only: London to Mykonos at 2,568 km leaves 223 km, and Larnaca to Nice at 2,461 km leaves 330 km. Both are margins measured in minutes rather than hours, and with six aboard we would want the crew to check them for the day.
Everything from London to Malaga at 1,721 km downwards is comfortable, and that is thirty-six routes. This aircraft is at its best on the sectors of about an hour to two hours where its cabin is a genuine advantage and its cruise speed costs you very little in absolute terms.
That last point deserves arithmetic rather than assertion. At 737 km/h against, say, 839 km/h for the Phenom 300, a 700 km sector such as Nice to Ibiza costs roughly seven or eight minutes more in the air. On a 300 km sector such as Geneva to Nice it is three or four minutes. Against that you are sitting in a cabin 1.80 m wide and 1.75 m high instead of 1.55 m by 1.50 m.
The number to watch is the hold: 1.00 m³ is the smallest on our entire fleet page. Six people with a week of luggage will not fit it, and that is the single most common reason we would put forward a different type for an otherwise ideal Avanti sector.
Published range is a specification and not a clearance. The operating crew plan each flight against actual weight, weather and alternates. Where a route on this site is beyond the published figure, or inside it only by minutes, we have said so.

| London to Mykonos | 2,568 km | On paper only | Inside by 223 km - roughly 16 minutes of cruise, which a full cabin or a headwind can spend |
| Larnaca to Nice | 2,461 km | Yes | Inside by 330 km |
Below 2,400 km the question stops being interesting: every remaining route on this website is inside the range of this aircraft with room to spare. These are the mid-length ones, from about an hour and a quarter to two and a half hours by our own published flight-time estimates.
Distances are great-circle figures between airport coordinates from the OurAirports open dataset, retrieved 23 August 2026. Flight times quoted anywhere on this page are estimates from a model fitted to the flight times Diamond Executive Aero Services already publishes, not measured block times. The 19 routes shorter than 700 km are listed on the route index. Range figures are the ones published on our own fleet page and assume still air, optimum cruise and a sensible payload.
4.55 m long, 1.80 m wide, 1.75 m high, six seats and a 1.00 m³ hold. The cross-section is the reason to charter this aircraft and the hold is the reason to check your bags first.
Height. 1.75 m, which is the tallest cabin of the light group on our fleet page and the same figure published for the whole Hawker midsize family. Against the Phenom 300 and the Nextant 400 XTi at 1.50 m, the HondaJet at 1.47 m and the Citations at 1.45 m, that is twenty-five to thirty centimetres. It is the difference between a cabin you sit in and a cabin you move around in.
Width. 1.80 m, again the widest of the light group and within a few centimetres of the Learjet 60XR at 1.81 m and the Hawker family at 1.83 m - all of which are midsize jets. The Citation CJ2 and Bravo are 1.47 m. This is the specification line that explains why the aircraft has the following it has.
Length. 4.55 m, mid-table for the class - shorter than the HondaJet at 5.43 m and the Phenom 300 at 4.88 m, longer than the Premier IA at 3.38 m. Six seats in a wide, tall, medium-length cabin is a different proposition from six seats in a narrow, long one.
Luggage. 1.00 m³, the smallest hold on our fleet page. This is the honest weakness. The Premier IA in the same class is listed at 2.18 m³ and the Phenom 300 at 2.27 m³. For a ski trip to Courchevel, ask us about capacity before you commit to this type.
Speed and crew. 737 km/h is the slowest cruise we publish, and no flight attendant is listed - normal for the class. On sectors of an hour or two neither matters much; on anything approaching the range limit, both do.
Cabin dimensions, berth counts, baggage volumes and the flight-attendant line are all taken from the specification tables published on this website, including the comparison figures quoted for other types.
The aircraft and the cabin as they are. These are the images we publish for this type.

These are our own figures for this aircraft, not somebody else’s estimate. They are whole-aircraft prices for the sectors named, at the passenger count shown, and they move with the date, the positioning of the aircraft and the fuel price on the day. Treat them as the size of the number rather than as a quotation: only a written quotation against your dates is a price. Our own guide rate for the type is EUR 2,900 per flight hour; the sector figures below are whole-aircraft prices and are not that rate multiplied by the flight time.
| Sector | Passengers | Price | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Larnaca - Geneva | 3 | 10000 € | 03:30 |
| Larnaca - Vienna | 3 | 8500 € | 03:00 |
| Larnaca - Paris | 3 | 12000 € | 04:12 |

These are the types our own fleet page groups alongside the P.180 Avanti. Every figure quoted below is from their specification tables on this website.
Listed at 2,320 km, 6 passengers, a 1.68 m cabin height and 2.18 m³ of hold. Similar class, more luggage, less cabin.
See the Hawker Beechcraft Premier IA ›Listed at 3,650 km, 6-8 passengers, 2.27 m³ of hold and a flight attendant. More range, more luggage, a smaller cross-section.
See the Embraer Phenom 300 ›Listed at 2,037 km, 4-5 passengers and a 5.43 m cabin. The long, narrow answer to the Avanti’s short, wide one.
See the HondaJet ›The complete fleet is on the aircraft index. Also useful: all published routes, current empty legs, jet sharing, how chartering works.
