Mykonos to Ibiza is 2,096 km and about 3 h 03 in the air, the full width of the Mediterranean between two islands that are constrained in the same weeks and in the same way. Indicative price from €13 700 for the whole aircraft, one way. Both ends need a slot; Palma is thirty-five minutes away when Ibiza has nothing. +357 95 119759, any hour.
Three hours west, island to island, in the eight weeks when both are at full stretch. There is no border and nothing to file beyond the ordinary; what there is, twice over, is a small airport that cannot simply absorb another aeroplane. Whole aircraft, single seats and empty legs, arranged 24/7.
REQUEST A QUOTEThe rare sector where both ends are the difficult end. Mykonos requires a slot and prior permission, holds ground time to around forty minutes and does not park private aircraft in the peak. Ibiza has one runway shared with very heavy summer scheduled traffic and 14,383 business-aviation movements in 2023 on an island of 570 square kilometres, with separate handling but shared slots and shared ramp. The flying between them is the simplest part of the day by a wide margin.
Two islands, two slot conversations, and two mainland fields that exist as escape hatches. On this pairing we settle both ends before quoting, because an hour that works at one is routinely unavailable at the other.
| Field | Code | Role on this route | What decides it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mykonos | JMK / LGMK | departure | Slot and prior permission both required. In peak season the island does not park private aircraft, so ground time is held to around forty minutes and general-aviation slots are restricted. The departure hour is arranged rather than chosen. |
| Ibiza | IBZ / LEIB | arrival | One runway, shared through the summer with very heavy scheduled traffic, about seven kilometres from Ibiza Town. Business aviation is handled separately; the runway slot and the ramp parking are not. Summer slots are the constraint on this end. |
| Palma de Mallorca | PMI / LEPA | the Balearic fallback | Thirty-five minutes away when Ibiza has nothing. A different island, so it costs a boat or a short second flight, and much the larger airport with room on the ground. We name it in advance rather than produce it on the morning. |
| Athens | ATH / LGAV | the Aegean fallback | The mainland alternative at the departure end and the usual repositioning field for aircraft that cannot stay on Mykonos. Also the practical fallback when congestion or weather closes the island option. |

Two thousand kilometres with a full cabin is midsize work, and at the end of an island stay the cabin is usually full. Both airports add the same second criterion: something that fits a restricted slot and does not need to linger.
The default. Non-stop with everybody and their luggage aboard, three hours in a cabin you can use, and a size both islands handle without argument.
See the fleet ›Possible with a shorter passenger list and lighter luggage, and the easiest category to place at either end in August. We will say where the limit falls before you choose.
See the fleet ›For a larger group or when the trip continues past the Balearics. Comfortable in the air; at both island ends we confirm the slot for the actual aircraft rather than in general.
See the fleet ›Indicative price from €13 700 for the whole aircraft, one way – a floor for a sensible aircraft on an ordinary day, and this route has fewer ordinary days than most.
The cabin moves it, and after that comes something particular to island-to-island flying: the aeroplane cannot wait comfortably at either end in the peak. Its movements before and after your sector are part of what you are buying, and in August those movements are longer than you would expect, because the nearby parking is already taken.
Which is also why empty legs are unusually plentiful here. Aircraft leave both islands empty constantly in season, and a westbound repositioning across the Mediterranean is exactly the flight you want to join. If your date can move by a day, ask.
GET A FIRM PRICEBoth seasons are the same season: late June to the end of September, peaking in August. There is no quiet end of this route in high summer, which is what distinguishes it from an island-to-mainland hop.
Book early and give us both hours. Two slots have to agree, and the commonest reason a plan on this corridor moves is that one of them was secured and the other was assumed. If your dates fall on a changeover weekend at either island, expect us to propose an adjacent day and explain why.
Outside the season this is an ordinary three-hour sector and short notice is comfortable in both directions.
The Balearics connect easily to the Spanish mainland and to the rest of the western Mediterranean, and the second leg is easier arranged with the first.
Forty-six minutes to the mainland, and the commonest onward hop of all when the island is the first half of a trip rather than the whole of it.
Ibiza to Barcelona ›An hour west to the capital, and the usual shape when the holiday finishes with business on the mainland.
Ibiza to Madrid ›South-west to the Costa del Sol, and a common continuation when the summer moves along the Spanish coast rather than ending.
Ibiza to Malaga ›Tell us your dates and how many of you there are. Your dedicated flight advisor will come back with aircraft options and a firm price.
