Mykonos to Nice is 1,676 km and about 2 h 32 in the air, normally a midsize jet, both ends inside Schengen. Indicative price from €11 400 for the whole aircraft, one way. This is the summer sector in its purest form: a small island that cannot park aircraft at one end, and one of the two busiest business-aviation airports in Europe at the other. +357 95 119759, any hour.
Two and a half hours west across the Mediterranean, from the Aegean season to the Riviera one, at the time of year when both are at full stretch. No border, no paperwork worth mentioning – and two sets of slots that have to agree with each other. Whole aircraft, single seats and empty legs, arranged 24/7.
REQUEST A QUOTEBoth ends of this sector are at their busiest in exactly the same weeks, which is what makes it interesting to arrange and unremarkable to fly. Mykonos is one small airport carrying an enormous summer: parking is finite, night operations are restricted, and aircraft that deliver a party in high season often cannot stay. Nice recorded 37,425 business-aviation movements in 2023, which makes it one of the two busiest such airports in Europe – capable, but not empty.
One departure that has to be negotiated and one arrival that has to be booked, plus two rows that matter only if your plans are not quite what the headline says.
| Field | Code | Role on this route | What decides it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mykonos | JMK / LGMK | departure | One small airport carrying an enormous summer. Slot and prior permission are both required, parking is finite, night operations are restricted, and in peak season ground time is held to around forty minutes because the island does not park private aircraft. The hour is arranged in advance rather than chosen on the day. |
| Nice Côte d'Azur | NCE / LFMN | arrival | The default and the field every figure here is measured to. With 37,425 business-aviation movements in 2023 it is one of the two busiest such airports in Europe: capable of anything, and busy enough that the arrival window is booked rather than assumed in July and August. |
| Cannes Mandelieu | CEQ / LFMD | arrival alternative | The Riviera's dedicated business-aviation field, west of Nice, and the better arrival for anyone staying that side of the coast. It is size-limited and operating hours are restricted, so it is a choice we confirm for your actual aircraft rather than offer in general. |
| Athens | ATH / LGAV | the island's fallback | The mainland alternative and the usual repositioning field for aircraft that cannot stay on Mykonos. It is also the practical fallback when congestion or weather closes the island option on your date. |

Sixteen hundred kilometres with a full cabin is midsize work, and at the end of an island stay the cabin is usually full in both senses. The island adds a second criterion the mainland does not: what fits the slot and can turn round inside forty minutes.
The default: a Citation XLS+, a Hawker 800XP or a Citation Latitude. All three cross non-stop with the cabin full, and all three are sizes the island handles without an argument.
See the fleet ›For a small party travelling light, and the easiest aircraft of all to fit into a restricted island slot. A genuine saving when the party allows it.
See the fleet ›For a larger group or a trip that continues past the Riviera. Comfortable at Nice; on the island end we confirm the slot for the actual aircraft rather than in general.
See the fleet ›Indicative price from €11 400 for the whole aircraft, one way – a floor for a sensible aircraft on an ordinary day, and in the peak weeks of this particular corridor ordinary days are scarce.
The cabin moves it most. After that come two ends that are both busy at once: an island that cannot park the aeroplane, so its onward movement is part of your trip, and a Riviera airport where August arrival windows are spoken for. Neither is a surcharge; both are real scarcity, and they show up in the positioning line rather than in an hourly rate.
Where the saving lives: empty legs, and on this corridor they are unusually plentiful. Aircraft leave Mykonos empty constantly because they cannot stay, and the Riviera is one of the places they go. If your date has any give in it, ask.
GET A FIRM PRICEBoth seasons run June to September and peak in August, so there is no quiet end of this route in high summer. Outside those months the sector is straightforward and short notice is comfortable.
Book early and give us the hour rather than the day. On this pairing two windows have to agree – the island slot out and the Riviera window in – and an hour that suits one can be unavailable at the other. That is the single most common reason a plan on this corridor has to move, and it is entirely avoidable with notice.
Night operations at Mykonos are restricted, so a late departure is a different question from a late booking. Tell us at the enquiry if your evening is uncertain and we will build the return around it.
The Riviera is rarely the last stop of a summer, and the second leg is easier arranged with the first.
The return crossing, and the half most parties book at the same time. Booking both together secures the island slot in advance rather than leaving it to the week of travel.
Nice to Mykonos ›West to the Balearics, and the usual shape when the summer moves from one island season to another rather than ending.
Nice to Ibiza ›North in about an hour and a quarter, and the common way home when the holiday finishes with a working day on the continent.
Nice to Paris ›Tell us your dates and how many of you there are. Your dedicated flight advisor will come back with aircraft options and a firm price.
