Ibiza to Mykonos is 2,096 km, about 3 h 03 in the air on a midsize jet. The flying is the simple part. Mykonos requires both a slot and prior permission, and in peak season it does not park private aircraft: ground time is held to around 40 minutes, and general aviation slots can only be requested a fortnight before the flight. A written quotation follows inside 30 minutes; +357 95 119759 answers at any hour.
The island-to-island sector that runs all summer, three hours end to end. The work on this one is not the flight, it is the arrival, and we will explain it before you book rather than after.
REQUEST A QUOTETwo of the busiest small airports in the Mediterranean, joined by an easy three-hour sector. The difficulty is entirely on the ground.
Four fields are in play, and in August you may meet three of them.
| Field | Code | Role on this route | What decides it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ibiza | IBZ / LEIB | Departure | Summer slots are the constraint. Palma is 35 minutes away when Ibiza has nothing |
| Mykonos | JMK / LGMK | Arrival | Slot and prior permission both required. In peak season the island does not park private aircraft - ground time is held to around 40 minutes and general aviation slots can only be requested a fortnight ahead, after scheduled traffic |
| Athens | ATH / LGAV | Fallback | Where the aircraft goes when Mykonos will not park it, and where a refused slot sends you |
| Syros and Naxos | JSY / JNX | Situational | Occasionally used to get into the Cyclades when Mykonos is closed to general aviation, then by sea or helicopter |
Slot and PPR requirements at Mykonos, the ground-time limit in peak season and the 14-day window for general aviation slot requests are published operating conditions and change from season to season. We confirm them against your dates rather than against a general rule.
Three hours with summer luggage is a midsize sector. A light jet will do it on paper and tell on you by the second hour.
The usual answer on this sector: midsize cabin, stand-up height for most, and enough hold for a family with real summer luggage.
Citation XLS+ →Similar reach with a wider cabin, and frequently the aircraft available when the XLS is not.
Hawker 800XP →Newer cabin, quieter, and the most comfortable of the three over two and a half hours if it can be placed.
Citation Latitude →We do not publish a starting price for Ibiza to Mykonos, and on this pairing a published figure would be actively misleading: the repositioning forced by the Mykonos ground limit is a large part of the total. Below are hourly rates other people publish for midsize jets in Europe.
| Reference | Applies to | Published figure | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Whole aircraft, this route | Ibiza to Mykonos | not published | We hold no route price for this pairing and will not invent one. The written quotation against your dates is the only price |

Mykonos is the item that decides this quotation. In peak season the island does not park private aircraft: the aircraft sets you down, leaves, and comes back for you, and those two extra sectors are yours. General aviation slots can only be requested a fortnight before the flight and are granted after scheduled traffic, so a July date confirmed in May is not a thing that exists. Ask any quotation you receive whether it includes the repositioning and what happens if the slot is refused - ours says both.
The figures above are third-party published rates, quoted so you can sanity-check a quotation. They are not our prices and they are not a quotation. The only price we stand behind is the written one against your dates.
This route barely exists outside the season, and inside it the airports rather than the aircraft set the pace.
| Period | What happens | What to do about it |
|---|---|---|
| June to September | Peak both ends. Slots and parking are the constraints, not aircraft availability | Ask about the Mykonos slot window and the parking plan in the first message |
| August Saturdays | The hardest days of the year on this pairing | Fly midweek where the plan allows |
| May and October | Shoulder. Good availability, everything still open | The best value weeks on this route |
| November to April | Thin. Reduced handling and services at the island end | Confirm with us what is open before planning around it |

Where a refused slot sends you, and the practical base for the islands. Short hop, ferry or helicopter onward.
Athens to Mykonos →Light jets only at Paros, and worth knowing which of the Cyclades your aircraft can actually reach.
Athens to Paros →The return across the Mediterranean is the leg most likely to exist as an empty one. Ask.
