Private Jet Charter Mykonos to Larnaca

Mykonos to Larnaca is 795 km and about 1 h 25 in the air, a light to midsize sector across the eastern Mediterranean. Indicative price from €10 700 for the whole aircraft, one way. Larnaca is our own home base, which matters more on this pairing than on most: the aircraft that collects you from a slot-restricted island is frequently one of ours, already at the other end. +357 95 119759, any hour.

An hour and a half east, from the tightest departure in the Aegean to a field where our desk answers at any hour. Both countries are in the European Union, so there are no customs questions – but Cyprus sits outside Schengen, so passports are checked. Whole aircraft, single seats and empty legs, arranged 24/7.

REQUEST A QUOTE

The route at a glance

A short sector with a hard departure and an easy arrival. Mykonos is one small airport for a very large summer: a great deal of traffic in a short season, finite parking and restricted night operations, with slot and prior permission both required. Larnaca is our own base, on the south coast with the whole island within a short drive, and because we are there rather than somewhere else the handling and the hour are ours to arrange rather than ours to request.

Distance
795 km
Great-circle between airport coordinates, Mykonos to Larnaca; the track actually flown is longer than the straight line
Flight time
approx. 1 h 25
A model estimate rather than a measured block time, and the model takes no view of direction. The island slot moves your day further than the wind does
Ground time at Mykonos
approx. 40 min
Held deliberately short: in peak season the island does not park private aircraft, and general-aviation slots are restricted
Departure
JMK
Mykonos LGMK, a small island airport with an intense summer season, finite parking and restricted night operations
Arrival
LCA
Larnaca LCLK, our own home base, on the south coast of Cyprus with business-aviation handling and a desk that answers at any hour
Typical aircraft
Light to midsize
Phenom 300, Citation XLS+ or Hawker 800XP – all three cross comfortably and all three suit the island's ground constraints
The distance is a great-circle figure between airport coordinates, so the track actually flown is longer than it. The time is a model estimate and not a measured block time: the model is fitted to flight times Diamond Executive Aero Services already publishes on this website, it makes no distinction between the outbound and the return, and routing, wind, slots and aircraft type all move it. The schedule in your quotation is the real one.

Which airports we use

One departure that is negotiated rather than chosen, and two Cypriot arrivals an hour apart by road. The fourth row is the island's escape hatch, and it is worth knowing it exists before you need it.

FieldCodeRole on this routeWhat decides it
MykonosJMK / LGMKdepartureOne small airport for a very large summer. A great deal of traffic in a short season, finite parking, restricted night operations, and slot and prior permission both required. Aircraft that deliver a party in high season often cannot stay, which shapes how this trip is priced as well as how it is planned.
LarnacaLCA / LCLKarrivalOur own base, on the south coast with the whole island within a short drive. Business-aviation handling is straightforward, and because we are here rather than arranging it from elsewhere, an awkward hour is a scheduling question rather than an operational one.
PaphosPFO / LCPHarrival alternativeThe second Cypriot field, at the western end of the island. For anyone staying around Paphos or western Limassol it removes a drive across Cyprus, and it is quieter on the ground – with thinner handling that we arrange in advance rather than assume.
AthensATH / LGAVthe island's fallbackThe mainland alternative and the usual repositioning field for aircraft that cannot stay on Mykonos. It is also the practical fallback when congestion or weather closes the island option on your date.

Aircraft for Mykonos to Larnaca

Eight hundred kilometres is comfortable for a light jet and easy for a midsize. On this route the second criterion is the island: what fits a restricted slot and can turn round inside a short ground window.

Light jet

A Phenom 300 for a small party, and the easiest category to fit into a restricted island slot. An hour and a half in a light cabin is unremarkable, and the ground advantage is real.

Midsize jet

A Citation XLS+ or a Hawker 800XP for a larger party or the luggage a long stay generates. Comfortable in the air and accepted on the ground; we confirm the slot for the actual aircraft.

Super-midsize

When the trip continues past Cyprus – Beirut, the Gulf, Egypt – and you would rather keep one aircraft than change. Worth raising at the enquiry so the island slot is arranged for the right size.

What it costs

Indicative price from €10 700 for the whole aircraft, one way. Against an hour and twenty-five minutes of flying that looks steep, and the explanation is the island rather than the distance.

In high season Mykonos cannot park the aeroplane, so the aircraft's whole movement – getting there, waiting somewhere else, coming back for you – is part of what you are buying. What helps on this particular pairing is that the other end is ours. An aircraft based at Larnaca can go and collect you and come home with you aboard, which is a shorter and cheaper shape than bringing one in from Europe and sending it away again.

The other saving is empty legs, and this corridor produces them for the same structural reason: aircraft leave Mykonos empty constantly because they cannot stay. Being based at the far end, we see them early.

When to fly, and when to book early

The Aegean season is short and intense – late June to the end of September. Cyprus runs considerably longer, so September and early October are the comfortable weeks on this route: the island end has loosened and the Cypriot end is still summer.

Book early for August and give us the hour rather than the day: the departure slot and the prior permission are the whole negotiation. If the party includes children on their own documents, send the details early – in summer that is the commonest source of delay at the passport desk and it is entirely avoidable.

Night operations at Mykonos are restricted, so a late departure is a different question from a late booking. Say at the enquiry if the evening is uncertain, and we will plan around it.

Onward from Larnaca

Cyprus is within short reach of three regions, and once the aircraft is on the island the next sector is inexpensive by comparison with the one that brought it.

Larnaca to Mykonos

The return crossing, and the half most parties book at the same time. Booking both together secures the island slot in advance rather than leaving it to the week of travel.

Larnaca to Mykonos ›

Larnaca to Beirut

Forty minutes east, the shortest international sector we publish, and a common second stop when the week covers both sides of the eastern Mediterranean.

Larnaca to Beirut ›

Larnaca to Dubai

The long leg east, and the usual shape when Cyprus is a stop on the way to the Gulf rather than the destination.

Questions we get about this route

How long is Mykonos to Larnaca, and how much ground time should we allow?
About 1 h 25 in the air over 795 km. Ground time at Mykonos is held to around forty minutes in season; at Larnaca allow the usual fifteen at a business terminal. The flying figure is a model estimate fitted to the flight times we publish ourselves rather than a measured block time.
What are the border formalities?
Cyprus is a member of the European Union but is not part of the Schengen area; Greece is in both. Passport control therefore applies at both ends, in both directions. Because both countries are in the Union, the customs questions attaching to a flight from outside it do not arise. At a business-aviation terminal the check is a desk beside the aircraft.
Why does leaving Mykonos need prior permission?
Because it is one small airport for a very large summer: a great deal of traffic in a short season, finite parking, restricted night operations, and slot and prior permission both required. The hour is arranged in advance rather than chosen on the day.
Larnaca or Paphos?
Larnaca for Nicosia, Limassol, Ayia Napa and Protaras – and it is where our own desk sits. Paphos for the west of the island, where it removes a drive across Cyprus. The two are meaningless apart in the air and about an hour apart by road, so tell us the address rather than the island.
Why does an hour and a half start at €10 700?
Because in high season the island cannot park the aircraft, so its whole movement – going there, waiting elsewhere, returning for you – is part of what you are buying. That is the honest arithmetic of island flying, and it is why an operator already based at the other end can often quote a better shape.
Does your being based in Larnaca actually help?
On this pairing, yes. An aircraft based at the arrival end can go and collect you and come home with you aboard, which is shorter and cheaper than bringing one from Europe and sending it away again. Whether it applies on your dates is the first thing we check.
Are there empty legs on this corridor?
Regularly, and for a structural reason: aircraft cannot stay on Mykonos in high season, so they leave empty. Being based at the far end we tend to see them early. The discount range brokers publish is 50 to 75 percent. Current empty legs
How late can we book?
Outside the season, comfortably late – our desk is on the island rather than in another time zone, so a late enquiry gets a real answer. In August the Mykonos slot is the binding constraint and wants as much notice as you can give. Call +357 95 119759, staffed twenty-four hours a day.
