London to Rhodes by private jet takes about 3 h 58 over 2,818 km, normally Luton to Rhodes Diagoras and normally on a super-midsize cabin, because four hours is the point at which cabin size stops being a preference and starts being the trip. Indicative price from €34 500 for the whole aircraft, one way. Send the dates and a written quotation follows within 30 minutes; the operations desk answers at any hour on +357 95 119759.
South-east across the length of Europe to the far corner of the Aegean, into an island airport that is quiet for most of the year and one of the busiest in Greece for the rest of it. Whole aircraft, single seats and empty legs.
REQUEST A QUOTEThis is one of the longest sectors we publish that is still flown as a holiday flight rather than as business travel, and most of what matters follows from that. Nearly four hours in the air puts it beyond the comfortable reach of a light cabin. The demand sits in a handful of summer weeks rather than across the year, which moves the price far more than the distance does. And the constraint at the island end is not runway but volume: in the high weeks the question is when your aircraft can be handled and where it can stand.
Three usable departures in London and, for practical purposes, one arrival. Rhodes has a single commercial airport and it takes everything through the same infrastructure, which is why the timing conversation matters more here than the airport-choice conversation does.
| Airport | Codes | Great-circle to Rhodes | Suits you if |
|---|---|---|---|
| London Luton | LTN / EGGW | 2,818 km | The default departure and the field with the deepest choice of aircraft on any given day, which on a four-hour sector matters, because the list of types that make sense is shorter than usual. About fifty kilometres north of central London and the right answer for anyone starting north or west of the city. |
| Farnborough | FAB / EGLF | a little further | South-west of London, dedicated entirely to business aviation and with no scheduled traffic at all, so the ground time is as short as ground time gets. Being on the far side of London from Rhodes it is marginally the longer sector, which on four hours is a rounding error. Right for Surrey, Hampshire and the Thames Valley. |
| London Biggin Hill | BQH / EGKB | a little shorter | South-east of London and therefore the closest of the three to the Aegean, though the handful of minutes it saves in the air matters much less than the hour it can save on the road for anyone in south or east London, Kent or the City. |
| Rhodes Diagoras | RHO / LGRP | arrival | The island's only airport, on the north-western tip rather than beside Rhodes Town, so allow a proper transfer at the end. In the peak summer weeks it is busy in a way that has consequences for a private arrival: handling slots and aircraft parking are the scarce commodities, not runway. |
Airport coordinates and codes: OurAirports open dataset, retrieved 23 August 2026. London Luton movement count: EBAA 2023 via Private Jet Card Comparisons, 4 June 2024. Alternative-airport distances are described in relative terms because we have not measured them from the same dataset. Statements about summer congestion at Rhodes are operational experience rather than a published figure.
At 2,818 km this is the first of the Greek island sectors where range genuinely enters the conversation. Most light jets will do it, some of them arriving with less fuel margin than anybody wants on an island arrival in August, and all of them will do it in a cabin you cannot stand up in for four hours. That is why we quote super-midsize first here and light cabins second, with the reasoning written down rather than assumed.
Eight to ten passengers, a flat floor and a cabin wide enough that four hours passes as an afternoon rather than as an ordeal. It carries the luggage a two-week island holiday actually generates, which on this route decides it more often than speed does.
See the Bombardier Challenger 350 ›Nine to twelve passengers and usually the most economical way to move a full party this far. It also has good short-field behaviour, worth having in reserve if the itinerary later touches a smaller Aegean field rather than staying at Diagoras.
See the Cessna Citation Sovereign ›Eight to ten passengers and the fastest of the three, which on a sector of this length is worth something real rather than a boast: the type to name when the party wants to leave London after a working morning and still be at dinner on the island.
See the Gulfstream G280 ›All three types are on our own fleet pages. Larger cabins — Legacy 600, Challenger 605 — fly this sector comfortably and are worth asking about for parties of ten or more. A light jet can be quoted alongside if the number matters more than the four hours.
From €34 500 one way. Indicative starting price for this route, rounded down. The date, the aircraft actually available and airport fees move it — tell us your dates and we confirm within 30 minutes.
No published price for the London to Rhodes city pair has reached us from a source we would be willing to reprint, so the figure above is our own floor rather than a quotation, and the table below carries hourly references for the cabin class instead. A number invented to fill a gap is worse than no number at all.
Two things move the real figure here, and neither is the distance. The first is the date: Rhodes has a season rather than a calendar, and inside the peak weeks every aircraft in the eastern Mediterranean already has work. The second is what happens to the aeroplane after it lands. Rhodes is not a base, so either your aircraft waits for you — paying crew time and parking in the weeks when parking is most contested — or it repositions empty and comes back, which is two extra legs somebody pays for.
So give us both dates in the first message even if the return is provisional, and say whether the week could move. On a seasonal route that flexibility is worth more than any negotiation.

Rhodes has one of the sharpest seasonal profiles of any destination we publish. It is not merely busier in summer; for most of the year it is barely a route at all, and then for about sixteen weeks it becomes one of the harder arrivals in Greece to arrange at short notice. Read the table as a booking calendar rather than as a weather guide.
| Period | What happens | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| June to September | The season. Handling capacity, aircraft parking and crew availability all tighten together, and weekends are worse than midweek because that is when holiday itineraries turn over. | Four to six weeks for a weekend arrival in July or August, two to three weeks for a midweek one. Fix the arrival window before you settle the aircraft type, and give us the return date at the same time. |
| May and October | The shoulder, and in our view the best value on this pairing. The island is open and the aircraft that will be fully committed a month later are still available. | One to two weeks is usually enough. This is also the easiest period in which to get a larger cabin for close to the price of a smaller one. |
| November to March | Out of season, and the traffic goes with it. Flights operate, but there is no local pool of aircraft and everything has to come to you. | Short notice is realistic, though the aeroplane will be positioning from elsewhere and the quotation reflects that. Ask about empty legs in both directions. |

Rhodes is very often the gateway rather than the destination, and the last hour of the journey is worth planning with the same care as the first four.
Symi, Halki and the rest of the Dodecanese are reached by sea from Rhodes, and by helicopter where a landing site exists. We arrange helicopters as well as jets, with our own published rates starting at 750 EUR per hour on a Eurocopter AS350.
Helicopter charter ›Plenty of Aegean itineraries take in more than one island. Santorini is published from London on this site, and a Rhodes-then-Santorini fortnight is straightforward to arrange as one booking rather than two.
London to Santorini ›There is no pool of business jets based on the island, so the flight home is the half of the trip that rewards planning. Give us both dates at the start and the aircraft's week is built around you.
Ask about the pair ›Tell us your dates and how many of you there are. Your dedicated flight advisor will come back with aircraft options and a firm price.
All published routes are listed on the route index. Also useful: the fleet, current empty legs, jet sharing.
