London to Lisbon by private jet takes about 2 h 26 over 1,606 km, normally on a midsize cabin. Indicative price from €10 900 for the whole aircraft, one way. There are two sensible arrivals rather than one: Humberto Delgado, which is inside the city and busy, and Cascais Tires to the west, which is a dedicated general-aviation airport and the right answer for the Estoril coast. Send the dates and a written quotation follows within 30 minutes; the operations desk answers at any hour on +357 95 119759.
Two and a half hours south-west to the Atlantic, into a capital-city airport that is unusually close to the centre or into the general-aviation field out towards Cascais. Whole aircraft, single seats and empty legs.
REQUEST A QUOTELisbon has become one of the busier business destinations in southern Europe over the last decade, and the traffic on this corridor has grown with it: technology and investment travel on top of the older trade and property flows, with a working calendar rather than a holiday one. The interesting decision here is the arrival airport. Humberto Delgado sits inside the city, which is its great virtue and the source of its one difficulty: it carries a very dense scheduled schedule, and business aviation fits around that rather than the other way round. Cascais Tires, out to the west, is the alternative most people do not know exists.
Three departures in London and, unusually for an Iberian capital, a genuine choice of arrival. The two Lisbon airports are not interchangeable: one is closer to the offices and busier, the other is quieter and closer to the coast, and the right answer depends on where the trip actually happens rather than on which sounds better.
| Airport | Codes | Great-circle to Lisbon | Suits you if |
|---|---|---|---|
| London Luton | LTN / EGGW | 1,606 km | The default departure and the field with the deepest choice of aircraft on any given day, about fifty kilometres north of central London. On a route where the aeroplane almost always comes from the London end, that depth is what makes short notice work. |
| Farnborough | FAB / EGLF | a little shorter | South-west of London, business aviation only, no scheduled traffic and therefore the shortest ground time of the three. It also sits on the Portugal side of the city, which makes it marginally the shorter sector as well as the quicker start for Surrey, Hampshire and the Thames Valley. |
| London Biggin Hill | BQH / EGKB | a comparable sector | South-east of London and the right departure for south and east London, Kent and the City. Marginally the longer sector to Portugal, which over two and a half hours is nothing set against the road time it can save. |
| Lisbon Humberto Delgado | LIS / LPPT | arrival | Remarkably close to the city for a capital airport, which is why most business traffic uses it. It also carries a very dense scheduled schedule, so business aviation works around the airport's pressure rather than setting the hour freely. For a meeting in the city it remains the right arrival; we will tell you honestly when the hour you want is difficult. |
| Cascais Tires | CAT / LPCS | the alternative | West of Lisbon and dedicated to general aviation, which makes the ground experience quicker and quieter than the main airport. It is much the better arrival for Cascais, Estoril, Sintra and the coast. The runway is shorter and suits light and midsize cabins rather than large ones, so we confirm your aircraft for it rather than assume. |

Relative sector lengths from Farnborough and Biggin Hill are qualitative; we have not measured them from the same dataset. Runway and capacity descriptions for both Lisbon airports are qualitative rather than reprinted figures, and acceptance for a specific aircraft type is confirmed for your date.
Two and a half hours is comfortably within light-jet range, and we still quote midsize first. The reason is the return: this route is usually flown out and back within a day or two, which means four or five hours in the same cabin, and at that point headroom, a galley and a proper lavatory stop being refinements. The arrival airport can also narrow the list, which is the other reason to settle the aeroplane early.
Seven to eight passengers, a stand-up cabin and 2.55 cubic metres of hold. The type we propose first for Lisbon, and one that is comfortable at either arrival airport rather than only at the larger one.
See the Cessna Citation XLS+ ›Six to eight passengers, a full galley and a separate lavatory, with 5,463 km of range that makes this a short sector. The right answer when Lisbon is one stop of an Iberian week rather than the whole trip.
See the Hawker 800XP ›A newer midsize cabin, flat floor, the quietest interior of the three. Worth naming when the party means to work on the way out and sleep on the way home, or when the return leg is late.
See the Cessna Citation Latitude ›All three types are on our own fleet pages. Light jets fly this sector perfectly well and cost less, and they also open up Cascais more easily: say so if the priority is the number or the coast rather than the cabin, and we will quote both.

No published price for the London to Lisbon city pair has reached us from a source we would be willing to reprint, so the figure above is our own floor rather than a quotation, and the table below carries published hourly references for the cabin class instead.
Two things move the real number here. The first is the week: Lisbon's conference calendar, and the large technology event the city hosts each November in particular, creates a few days each year when every aircraft heading to Portugal is already spoken for and every hotel room with it. The second is the same structural point that applies across Iberia — there is no deep pool of business aircraft waiting at the Lisbon end, so the shape of the trip determines whether an empty positioning sector appears in your quotation.
The useful thing you can do about both is to give us the return date at the start, even provisionally, and say whether the dates could move by a day. A single day of flexibility is worth more here than any amount of haggling over the same day.

Lisbon's year has a working shape with one very sharp spike in it. Most of the calendar is the ordinary European business rhythm; one week in November is not, and anyone who has tried to book late for it will already know that.
| Period | What happens | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| March to June | The first business peak, steady rather than spiky, with reliable weather and long enough days to build a comfortable same-day return. | One to two weeks is usually enough at the London end. Give us the hour you need to be in the meeting and we will work backwards, including the drive from whichever airport suits. |
| November, conference week | The technology conference Lisbon hosts each November fills the city. Aircraft, handling and accommodation all run short in the same few days, and it is felt on departures as much as on arrivals. | Book months rather than weeks ahead, and settle the return at the same time as the outbound. If your dates have any flexibility, arriving before the crowd is worth more than any negotiation. |
| August, late December and January | The quiet stretch. Portugal takes August off, the last ten days of December are effectively dead in both directions and January starts slowly. | Genuine short notice works and this is the cheapest part of the year on the pairing. Ask about empty legs in both directions. |

Where the aircraft puts you down decides the next hour, and on this route that decision is genuinely worth making in advance rather than accepting by default.
Humberto Delgado is close to the offices; Cascais Tires is close to Estoril, Sintra and the Atlantic. Give us the address rather than the airport and we will name the field that costs you the least time.
