Paris to Larnaca is a 2,987 km sector of about 4 h 11 in the air, flown from Le Bourget, and a super-midsize cabin crosses it non-stop with everyone and everything on board. Published whole-aircraft references start at €35 000 one way; on flights we open for sharing we publish a seat on this pairing at €2 000. In summer the thing to settle early is not the aeroplane but the ground at the Cyprus end. Send the dates and a written quotation follows within 30 minutes; our desk at Larnaca answers at any hour on +357 95 119759.
Four hours from Europe’s busiest business-aviation field to an island in its high season — and at the far end, an operator whose own desk is on the airfield rather than on the end of a telephone line.
REQUEST A QUOTEThis is the longest of the three French and Swiss sectors we publish against Cyprus, and by some way the one with the widest mix of people on board. Le Bourget is the largest business-aviation field in Europe by some distance, which means the departure end is routine in a way that smaller airports never quite are; what varies is the party. In the spring and autumn it is four adults with laptops. In July and August it is a family of seven with a hold full of soft bags, a pushchair and somebody’s diving kit, going to a house or a boat for a fortnight. Those two flights want different aeroplanes, different departure hours and different conversations, which is why the first thing we ask is not the date but who is coming.
The Paris end is effectively decided for you — Le Bourget, unless something specific argues otherwise — and it is worth knowing what that something might be, because on this sector it is usually the clock. The Cyprus end is an open choice and it is the one that decides how the first hour of the holiday is spent.
| Airport | Codes | Great-circle to Larnaca | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|---|
| Paris Le Bourget | LBG / LFPB | 2,987 km | Where essentially all of this traffic leaves from, and the field every figure on this page is measured from. Eight kilometres out from the périphérique, dedicated to business aviation and nothing else, and the European leader of its kind by a distance — 55,751 movements in 2023. Its night movements are restricted, and on a four-hour sector that is the single fact most likely to reshape a plan — the late departure somebody had in mind may not exist. |
| Paris Orly | ORY / LFPO | 2,984 km | Three kilometres nearer in the air and a genuinely different proposition on the ground: a large scheduled airport with a business-aviation facility attached to it. It becomes the answer when Le Bourget cannot offer the hour you need, and it suits parties starting from the southern side of the city. |
| Larnaca | LCA / LCLK | arrival | Where the flight ends and where we are based. The island’s principal business-aviation gateway and the right field for Nicosia, the eastern half of Limassol, Ayia Napa and Protaras — which between them account for most summer arrivals from France. Our operations desk is on this airfield and staffed at every hour. |
| Paphos | PFO / LCPH | 2,921 km from Le Bourget | Sixty-six kilometres shorter, a difference that disappears inside a four-hour estimate, and about an hour further west by road. It is the right field for Paphos, Polis, Latchi and the Akamas, and in the crowded weeks it is sometimes the easier one to place an aircraft into. Handling and aircraft choice there are thinner, so raise it when you send the dates. |
The paperwork on this pairing is the simplest of any we publish against northern Europe, and it is worth saying why rather than leaving people to assume the worst. France and Cyprus are both members of the European Union, so the customs questions that attach to a flight from outside the Union do not arise here. What does apply is passport control: Cyprus sits outside the Schengen area, so the flight crosses the Schengen external border and documents are checked at both ends, in both directions. At business-aviation terminals that is a desk beside the aeroplane and a matter of minutes. Children travelling on their own documents are the commonest source of delay in the summer, so send the full passenger list early and in the right names.
Airport coordinates and codes: OurAirports open dataset, retrieved 23 August 2026. Le Bourget movement count: EBAA 2023 via Private Jet Card Comparisons, 4 June 2024. Larnaca does not appear in the EBAA European top fifty for 2023. Ground arrangements are confirmed against your dates rather than against a general rule.
Nearly three thousand kilometres with everybody on board is super-midsize territory. A midsize cabin will cover the distance — the shared-seat example we publish for these airports flew on a Citation XLS+ — but load one fully and fill the hold for a fortnight away and you begin trading bags against fuel, which over four hours is a poor bargain to strike. The hold matters more here than it does on the business sectors out of Switzerland, for the simple reason that families pack for a fortnight and meetings do not.
Eight to ten seats, a flat floor you can walk down and generous hold volume. The combination that copes equally well with a working party in May and a family in August, which is why it is the first type we put forward on this pairing.
See the Bombardier Challenger 350 ›Nine to twelve seats, a quiet cabin and a proper galley — which stops being a detail somewhere in the third hour with children on board. Frequently the most economical way to move a full party over this distance.
See the Cessna Citation Sovereign ›A heavy cabin for parties of twelve or more, or for anybody who would rather arrive rested than arrive cheaply. Worth asking about when the luggage list reads like a removal and the flight leaves in the evening.
See the Embraer Legacy 650 ›Each type has its own page in our fleet and the seat and cabin figures there are the ones we quote from. What will actually fit in the hold, and what cannot travel in the cabin, is set out on our luggage page — on a summer departure that page is more useful than the seat count.
From €35 000 one way, whole aircraft. The lowest published whole-aircraft reference we hold for this pairing, rounded down and quoted with its source below. Your date, the aeroplane actually free on it and the charges at both fields move it — send the dates and a written figure follows inside 30 minutes.
Three published numbers exist for these two airports and they measure three different things. Lined up without those labels they are how a perfectly honest quotation ends up feeling like a trick, so each is set out below with what it actually covers.
The first is a one-way charter reference for the whole aeroplane. The second, at 29,800 EUR, is not a cheaper version of the first: it is a three-night return on a six-seat Learjet 75 with the aircraft waiting in Paris, which on a sector of this length is often the sensible shape but is plainly a different product. The third, at 2,000 EUR, is ours and it is a seat on a shared flight rather than an aeroplane at all.
What moves your own number, in order of weight: whether a suitable aircraft is already in the eastern Mediterranean or has to be flown in to collect you; whether it waits in Cyprus or repositions after dropping you; and the departure hour at Le Bourget, where restricted night movements can remove the slot somebody had assumed. The waiting question is the one worth thinking about hardest on a holiday sector. Across two or three nights, holding the aeroplane and its crew alongside you is frequently the cheaper arrangement: a positioning movement disappears at each end rather than one in total. Stretch the same trip to a fortnight and the arithmetic reverses — and a fortnight is what most of this traffic is going for.

Two populations fly this route southbound and they do not share a calendar. One is professional, runs from September to June and books a fortnight ahead without drama. The other is on holiday, arrives in a concentrated burst between June and September, and competes for the same summer weekends as everybody else in Europe. Which of the two you belong to changes every piece of advice below.
| Period | What happens on the leg into Cyprus | What to do about it |
|---|---|---|
| June to September | The Mediterranean peak and the direction everybody wants. The scarce commodity in these weeks is not an aeroplane in France but a stand and a handling slot at the Cyprus end, and the Friday and Saturday departures go first. | Three to four weeks for a fixed weekend date, and ask about parking and ground handling at Larnaca in the same breath as the aircraft. A midweek departure is easier than a Friday one by a margin that surprises people. |
| September to June | The working pattern underneath the season. Cyprus runs a shipping, legal, fund and professional-services economy with real French counterparties, and that traffic is steady rather than spiky. Same-day returns are ordinary. | One to two weeks is usually enough. If it is a day return, say so before anything else: it changes the aircraft we propose and it makes the Le Bourget departure window the fixed point of the plan. |
| The French school holidays, Easter and late December | Concentrated family spikes that compress into a handful of days and run in both directions inside a fortnight. They are the hardest dates on the route and the ones booked furthest ahead. | Commit as early as you can, and ask about the days either side of the obvious ones — a departure a day early is very often a different conversation entirely. |
| The evening departure | Not a season but a daily limit. Night movements at Le Bourget are restricted, so the after-dinner departure that would put you in Cyprus overnight may simply not be available. | Tell us when you want to be on the ground at Larnaca; the departure hour follows from that. If Le Bourget cannot supply it, Orly at 2,984 km is the alternative worth examining. |
Seasonality classification: routes_shortlist.csv, Diamond Executive Aero Services route research, 23 August 2026. Le Bourget movement count: EBAA 2023. Our own published route example: diamond.aero shared-flight table, 2026. This is a pattern, not a promise; your week is checked before we quote it.
Most of what is worth planning on a summer flight into Cyprus happens after the wheels stop rather than before they leave the ground. In July and August the island is busy, and the parts of the arrival that are invisible in May — a stand for the aeroplane, a handler who is not already on another aircraft, a car that is where it said it would be — become the difference between landing and arriving.
In the peak weeks the aeroplane is rarely the scarce item; somewhere to put it is. Ask about parking and handling at Larnaca when you ask about the aircraft, not afterwards — our desk sits on that airfield, which is why we can answer it the same day.
Private jet charter in Cyprus ›If the fortnight is being spent around Paphos, landing at Larnaca hands back a good part of what the flight bought you. Paphos is 2,921 km from Le Bourget against Larnaca’s 2,987 km and it is occasionally the easier arrival to place in August.
A fair share of the parties we land at Larnaca in the summer are going on to a marina rather than a hotel. We charter yachts as well as aircraft, and the two are considerably easier to line up in one conversation than in two.
Yacht charter ›On flights we open for sharing you can buy a single seat instead of an aeroplane. Our published example for this pairing is 2,000 EUR a seat on a Citation XLS+. Shared flights follow our schedule rather than yours, which suits a flexible traveller and not a fixed meeting.
How jet sharing works ›Tell us the dates, how many of you there are and roughly what is coming in the hold. Your dedicated flight advisor will come back with aircraft options and a firm price.
Every published route is listed on the route index. Also useful: what you can take, the fleet, jet sharing, current empty legs, booking at short notice.
