Larnaca to Zurich is a 2,505 km sector of about 3 h 34 in the air, non-stop with the cabin full. Our own published table carries this exact route as a whole charter on a Legacy 600 at €24 500, which is where the figure on this page comes from — a price of ours, not a broker’s estimate. Send the dates and a written quotation follows within 30 minutes; our Cyprus desk answers at any hour on +357 95 119759.
The shortest of our three Swiss and French sectors out of Cyprus, flown mostly for work rather than for holidays, and the one route on this site where the headline price is our own published figure rather than somebody else’s.
REQUEST A QUOTEZurich is a business arrival, and this route behaves accordingly: weighted to weekdays, frequently a same-day return, and far less seasonal than anything else we fly out of Larnaca. Two facts shape it. Zurich is closed to movements overnight, so the last usable arrival is earlier than people assume and a late Cyprus departure can miss it. And we publish a real price for this exact pairing — a whole charter on a Legacy 600 at 24,500 EUR — so the number at the top of this page is something we have put in print rather than a reconstruction from hourly rates.
One decision at each end, and the interesting one is Swiss. Zurich is the obvious arrival and is right for most of this traffic, but it has a hard operational edge — the overnight closure — and two alternatives worth knowing about for particular destinations.
| Airport | Codes | Great-circle from Larnaca | Suits you if |
|---|---|---|---|
| Larnaca | LCA / LCLK | 2,505 km | The default departure and the field every figure here is measured from. The island’s main business-aviation gateway, and the practical airport for Nicosia, Limassol and the east. Our desk is on the field and staffed around the clock, which is what allows the early departures that make a same-day return to Zurich work. |
| Paphos | PFO / LCPH | 2,440 km | Sixty-five kilometres shorter and about an hour further west by road. It suits the western half of the island. Handling and aircraft availability are thinner here, so ask early rather than on the day. |
| Zurich | ZRH / LSZH | arrival | Where almost all of this traffic lands, with 25,866 business-aviation movements in 2023 and a general-aviation terminal separate from the scheduled halls. It is slot-coordinated and closed to movements overnight, which on a three-and-a-half-hour sector is the single most useful fact to plan around. |
| Bern | BRN / LSZB | 2,553 km | Forty-eight kilometres further than Zurich and a much shorter drive if the destination is Bern itself or the Bernese Oberland. A smaller field with lighter handling, so it wants notice rather than improvisation. |
| Engadin (Samedan) | SMV / LSZS | 2,370 km | The shortest sector on this page, and for St Moritz and the Engadin it removes a long mountain drive. It sits high in the Alps, operates in daylight only and requires specific aircraft performance and crew qualification, so it is a planned arrival rather than a substitution made on the day. |
Airport coordinates and codes: OurAirports open dataset, retrieved 23 August 2026. Zurich movement count: EBAA 2023 via Private Jet Card Comparisons, 4 June 2024. Larnaca does not appear in the EBAA European top fifty for 2023.
At 2,505 km this is the shortest of the super-midsize sectors we publish out of Larnaca, and the one where a smaller cabin is most defensible if the party is small. Our own published example for the route went the other way and used a Legacy 600 — a heavy cabin — which is a reminder that what gets flown is often decided by which aircraft was free rather than by what the sector requires.
Eight to ten passengers with a flat floor and a cabin you can work in properly for three and a half hours. The type we recommend most often when the trip is out in the morning, into meetings, and back the same evening.
See the Bombardier Challenger 350 ›Nine to twelve passengers, quiet, and usually the most economical way to move a full party on a sector this length. Good short-field behaviour, which matters if the itinerary later touches an Alpine field.
See the Cessna Citation Sovereign ›Eight to ten passengers and the fastest of the three. On a day return against a Zurich curfew, speed is not a vanity — it is what keeps the evening departure inside the window.
See the Gulfstream G280 ›All three types have their own pages in our fleet. Heavier cabins — Legacy 600 and Legacy 650, Challenger 605 — fly this sector regularly, and our own published example for this route was one of them.

The figure at the top of this page is our own. Diamond Executive Aero Services publishes a whole-charter example for Larnaca to Zurich — a Legacy 600 at 24,500 EUR — and that is a considerably better starting point than a number reconstructed from broker hourly rates, so that is what we have used.
It is worth saying plainly what that figure is and is not. It is a real price we have published for this pairing, flown on a heavy cabin. It is not a floor for every party and every date: a smaller cabin on a quiet Tuesday in May could sit below it, and a peak February date with a positioning leg will sit above it. What it gives you is an anchor from the operator rather than from an aggregator.
Published market rates for super-midsize aircraft in Europe are printed below as well, so that you can see the range a quotation is being drawn from. Read across them and the pattern is the same as on every route: the aeroplane accounts for more of the variation than the kilometres do. On this sector specifically, the two other things that move the number are positioning — whether a suitable aircraft is already in the eastern Mediterranean — and the arrival hour, because the Zurich curfew removes the cheap late-evening options that exist at less restricted airports.

Of the six European routes we publish out of Larnaca this is the least seasonal, because the underlying traffic is corporate and corporate traffic does not take August off in the way leisure traffic takes February off. The seasonal peaks are real but they sit on top of a steady weekday flow rather than replacing it.
| Period | What happens | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| September to June, weekdays | The core of the route. Cyprus runs a substantial shipping, legal, fund and corporate-services economy and a good deal of it has Swiss counterparties. Same-day returns are common, which makes the departure hour out of Larnaca and the curfew hour at Zurich the two fixed points of the day. | One to two weeks. If it is a day return, say so first: it changes which aircraft we propose, and it makes the Zurich curfew the thing we plan around. |
| Late December to early March | The Alpine season adds leisure traffic on top of the business flow, and it competes for the same ground capacity. Zurich is the arrival for the eastern Alps as Geneva is for the western ones. | Three to four weeks for weekend dates. If the destination is St Moritz or the Engadin, raise Samedan at the outset — it needs planning, and it changes the aircraft list. |
| June to September | The Mediterranean season, running mostly towards Cyprus rather than away from it. Northbound departures out of Larnaca are often easier than expected in this window, and empty legs going north are worth asking about. | One to two weeks, and ask about repositioning flights. An aircraft that brought a party to the island usually has to leave again. |
| The evening window | Not a season but a daily constraint, and the one that catches people out. Zurich is closed to movements overnight, so the last practical arrival is earlier than at most European fields. | Give us the hour you need to be on the ground, not the hour you would like to leave Larnaca. We will confirm the window before you commit to anything else. |

Zurich is a destination far more often than a transfer point on this sector, but for two kinds of trip it is the gateway rather than the end.
Samedan is 2,370 km from Larnaca against Zurich’s 2,505 km, and for St Moritz it removes a long mountain drive. Daylight-only operations and specific aircraft and crew requirements mean it must be planned rather than improvised.
Ask about Samedan ›The practical Alpine transfer once the jet is on the ground. We arrange helicopters as well as jets, with our own published rates starting at 750 EUR per hour on a Eurocopter AS350.
Helicopter charter ›Zurich to Milan, Nice, Paris and London are all short sectors and all routes we publish, which makes Zurich a workable hinge for a multi-stop European week.
