Paris to Cannes is 695 km south, about 1 h 17 min in the air, Paris Le Bourget to Cannes Mandelieu, on a light jet. Nothing on the sector crosses a border. Cannes Mandelieu is the smaller of the two fields on this stretch of coast and takes business jets only up to a certain size, so tell us the party and the luggage before the aircraft is fixed. A written quotation follows inside 30 minutes; +357 95 119759 answers at any hour.
Down to the Croisette in about 1 h 17 on a light jet, into the airport nearest to it rather than the one everybody knows. On this route the distance decides almost nothing and the arrival field decides almost everything: Cannes Mandelieu accepts business jets up to a certain size, and that is the first question rather than the last. Arranged 24/7.
REQUEST A QUOTEThe flying is the straightforward half of this one. The whole sector sits inside France, so there is no customs or immigration process at either end, and 695 km is well within any light jet on our list. What has to be settled first is the arrival. Cannes Mandelieu is a smaller field than Nice, 24 km further west along the coast, and it takes business jets only up to a certain size - which means that on this route the aeroplane is chosen against the runway you are landing on before it is chosen against the party. Through the summer, and in the May fortnight that carries the film festival and the Monaco Grand Prix, what runs short on the coast is the slot and the ground handling rather than the supply of aircraft.
The departure is not a decision - Le Bourget is where Paris business aviation leaves from. The arrival is the whole of the decision on this route, and unusually it is a decision about the aeroplane as much as about the address at the end.
| Airport | Codes | Great-circle | Suits you if |
|---|---|---|---|
| Paris Le Bourget | LBG / LFPB | departure | Where the sector starts and the field every distance and time on this page is measured from. It handles business aviation and nothing else - no scheduled traffic at all - it is the closest of the Paris airports to the centre, and several handling agents compete for your departure, which is why the ground time at this end is short. The week to watch is the Paris Air Show, when its own ramp rather than anything in the air becomes the constraint. |
| Cannes Mandelieu | CEQ / LFMD | 695 km | The arrival this page is calculated to, and the field closest to the Croisette - it sets you down 24 km nearer than Nice does, at the time of year when those 24 km cost the most. It is a smaller airport and it accepts business jets only up to a certain size, so give us the party, the luggage and the dates and we will say plainly whether it works before anything is booked. |
| Nice Cote d'Azur | NCE / LFMN | the alternative | The answer when the party or the aeroplane is too big for Mandelieu, and a sensible one in any case if the address at the end is east of Cannes. It is a different airport rather than another door of the same one, with a business terminal kept apart from the scheduled ones and the helicopter to Monaco leaving from the field itself. The distance and time on this page are not calculated to Nice. |

At 695 km range never enters the conversation - every type below covers this sector with a great deal in hand, and on an hour and a quarter in the air cabin size is ordinarily a preference rather than a problem. What is not a preference is the field. Cannes Mandelieu takes business jets up to a certain size, so the list here is light by design, and the honest way round is to tell us the party and the luggage first and let the aeroplane follow.
The commonest aircraft on this run and generally the first type we put forward for a party going down for a stay: the largest hold of the three light jets listed here, and usually the easiest to place at Le Bourget at short notice.
See the Embraer Phenom 300 ›The sensible answer for a small party travelling light. Over an hour and a quarter the difference between this cabin and a wider one is an hour and a quarter of your life; the difference in the quotation lasts a good deal longer than that.
See the Cessna Citation CJ2+ ›Quiet and unhurried, and a good fit for the shape of trip this page describes - going down for several days with proper luggage rather than turning round the same evening.
See the Citation Bravo ›All three types are on our own fleet pages. A larger party or a bigger cabin flies the same sector into Nice instead - give us the group and the luggage and we will say which of the two fields the trip actually fits.
We do not publish a starting price for Paris to Cannes. We would rather leave the figure out than print one we cannot stand behind, because the price on this pairing turns on the week you are flying in and on which of the two coastal fields the aircraft can use. What can be published honestly are the hourly rates other people publish for light jets in Europe - worth having to sanity-check a quotation, and no use at all for building one.
| Reference | Applies to | Published figure | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Whole aircraft, this route | Paris to Cannes | not published | We hold no route price for this pairing and will not invent one. The written quotation against your dates is the only price |
| Hourly rate, light jets | Europe | 4,600 - 7,300 EUR per hour | Broker published range, undated, retrieved 2026 |
| Hourly rate, from | Europe | from 2,900 EUR per hour | Broker published range, 19.02.2026 |
| Hourly rate, quoted in dollars | Light jets | 3,750 - 4,200 USD per hour | Broker published range, August 2026 |
Multiplying any of those by 1 h 17 will not produce a price, because the hour in the air is the smaller part of what a short sector costs: the crew day, the landing and the handling at both ends sit on top of it, and in the season so does the parking. That last item is the one to ask us about on this route. If the aircraft can stay where it put you down, it is one price; if it cannot, it sets you down, flies off to park and comes back for you, and those two extra sectors are yours to pay for. On a flight of an hour and a quarter that is a large share of the total rather than a rounding item, which is why it belongs in the quotation you read before you fly rather than in the invoice afterwards. It is also worth asking what is repositioning your way: the corridor between Paris and the coast throws off more empty legs than most, and an empty leg means taking the operator's date and roughly the operator's hour in exchange for the discount.
The Cote d'Azur is the sharpest seasonal market in European business aviation and southbound is the direction the season pulls. On this pairing the calendar counts for more than the distance: flown down in February and flown down in the second week of August, the identical sector is not the same product.
| Period | What happens | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| May | The shoulder month on paper and the hardest fortnight of the year in practice. The Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix fall close together, and what they generate at this end of the sector is arrivals. | Ask early and ask about the field in the same call. What runs out is the slot and the coastal ground handling rather than the aeroplane, and Mandelieu is small - in festival week it is the first question, not the last. |
| June to September | The Mediterranean peak, with the flow running south and the Friday afternoon departure out of Le Bourget as the pinch point. Arrival slots and ground handling on the coast are rationed well before aircraft are. | Give us the arrival hour rather than only the date, so the handling window can be confirmed against it before you commit. For a summer weekend, several weeks of notice buys the window rather than the aircraft. |
| October | The other shoulder. The coast empties about as quickly as it filled and the fleet begins to turn back north for the winter. | Value and easy availability in the same weeks. A good window in which to ask about a southbound repositioning leg, and a good one in which to fly at short notice. |
| November to April | Quiet on the coast. Aircraft shuttle between Paris, Nice and Geneva through the winter and a share of those legs run south with nobody in the cabin. | Short notice is realistic. If your dates bend at all, ask about empty legs before pricing a full charter. |
Seasonality reflects the demand pattern on this corridor: a Mediterranean summer peak from June to September, with May and October as the shoulder months.
For most parties the aircraft stops at Mandelieu but the day does not, and the coast either side of Cannes is served from the same two fields.
Nice Cote d'Azur is the alternative arrival when the party or the aeroplane is larger than Mandelieu takes, and the default if the address at the end is east of Cannes.
Paris to Nice ›The standard Riviera transfer, and in July and August the dependable half of the journey. We arrange the helicopter leg alongside the jet rather than leaving you to find one on the day.
Helicopter charter ›Paris and the coast is one of the better corridors in Europe for repositioning flights, and the southbound half of the swing runs in the spring. If your dates bend at all, this is where the saving is.
Current empty legs ›Tell us your dates and how many of you there are. Your dedicated flight advisor will come back with aircraft options and a firm price.
