Ibiza to Lisbon is 910 km, about 1 h 34 in the air on a light or midsize jet. Most private flights land at Cascais Tires rather than Lisbon itself: it has a 1,700 m runway, no scheduled traffic, sits about twenty minutes from the city, and Lisbon is short of capacity. Indicative price from €7 000 for the whole aircraft, one way. +357 95 119759, any hour.
An hour and a half west between two summer coasts, and the interesting decision is at the Portuguese end rather than in the air. The default there is not the airport whose name you know. Whole aircraft, single seats and empty legs, arranged 24/7.
REQUEST A QUOTEA straightforward sector between two summer coasts, with a constraint at each end and neither of them the aeroplane. At the Ibiza end it is high summer: one runway, a compact business-aviation apron, and slots and parking that run out before aircraft do. At the Portuguese end it is capacity – Lisbon carries heavy scheduled traffic and is capacity-constrained, which is exactly why private flights on this pairing normally use Cascais instead.
The unusual line in this table is the default arrival. On most routes the capital's main airport is the answer and the general-aviation field is the alternative; here it is the other way round, and for a practical reason rather than a preference.
| Airport | Codes | Distance | Suits you if |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ibiza | IBZ / LEIB | 910 km | Where the sector starts, and the field every figure on this page is measured from. One runway, separate business-aviation handling, shared slot and shared ramp. Between mid-June and mid-September the departure hour is decided by the slot rather than by you, which is why we ask for it first. |
| Cascais Municipal | CAS / LPCS | usual arrival | The default on this pairing. At Tires, west of Lisbon: a 1,700 m runway, no scheduled traffic, and about twenty minutes from the city. For anyone staying along the Estoril coast, in Cascais or out towards Sintra it removes a drive into town altogether. Aircraft size is the question to ask us about before assuming it. |
| Lisbon Humberto Delgado | LIS / LPPT | arrival alternative | The capital's main airport, remarkably close to the centre – one of the shortest airport drives of any European capital. It carries heavy scheduled traffic and is capacity-constrained, so business aviation works within the slot system rather than around it. The right answer when the city itself is the destination or a connection is involved. |

Nine hundred kilometres is comfortable for a light jet and easy for a midsize, so the choice is about the party. On this route it is also about the runway: Cascais is 1,700 metres, which is generous for the categories below and a question worth asking for anything larger.
Fine for up to six with normal luggage, comfortable at Cascais, and the easiest category to place on a crowded island apron in August. An hour and a half in a light cabin is unremarkable.
See the fleet ›What we quote above six passengers or when the luggage is the kind a long stay generates. Still straightforward at Cascais; we confirm rather than assume.
See the fleet ›For a larger group or a trip that continues westward. Here the arrival field becomes a real question rather than a formality, and the answer may be Lisbon instead – we will say so before you book.
See the fleet ›Indicative price from €7 000 for the whole aircraft, one way – a floor for a sensible aircraft on an ordinary day rather than a figure for a Saturday in August.
Two ends, two pressures. At Ibiza the slot and the apron are scarce in the peak weeks, and scarcity at one end prices the whole sector. At the Portuguese end the pressure is capacity rather than season: Lisbon is constrained, which is why Cascais is the default and why an arrival at the capital's main airport sometimes costs an hour you did not budget rather than money you did.
The savings are the familiar ones: mid-week rather than weekend, hours outside the exodus, and empty legs. This is a corridor where aircraft shuttle between Iberia and the Balearics all summer, and a good proportion of those movements carry nobody.
GET A FIRM PRICEJune to September at both ends. The Portuguese half of the season is aimed at the coast rather than the capital, which is another reason Cascais is the busier arrival in practice – and a reason to book it early rather than assume a general-aviation field is always quiet.
Book early for August, and book the return at the same time: the slot back into Ibiza is consistently tighter than the flight out of it. If you need the city rather than the coast, say so, because that changes the field and the field changes the plan.
Outside the season this is an easy sector at short notice, and same-day departures are realistic in both directions.
Portugal is a long country with a short flying time between its ends, and the second leg is simpler arranged with the first.
The return crossing, and the half most parties book at the same time. Booking both together usually costs less than two one-way flights and secures the island slot in advance.
Lisbon to Ibiza ›North into Europe in about two and a quarter hours, and a common continuation when the island stay was the first half of a longer trip.
Lisbon to Paris ›Short sectors south, and often the real destination. If the Algarve is where you are going, say so and we will quote it directly rather than add a two-hour drive.
