Private Jet Charter Ibiza to Amsterdam

Ibiza to Amsterdam is 1,517 km and about 2 h 20 in the air, normally a midsize jet, both ends inside Schengen. Indicative price from €10 500 for the whole aircraft, one way. This is the rare sector with a slot conversation at both ends – a crowded island apron at one, a heavily slot-coordinated hub at the other. Tell us the hours and we will settle both before anything else. +357 95 119759, any hour.

Two hours and twenty minutes north, from the Mediterranean summer to the Randstad. Nothing about the flying is demanding; everything worth planning is on the ground at either end, and the two ends are difficult in completely different ways. Whole aircraft, single seats and empty legs, arranged 24/7.

The route at a glance

Two constrained airports and an easy flight between them. Ibiza has one runway shared all summer with very heavy scheduled traffic, and 14,383 business-aviation movements in 2023 on an island of 570 square kilometres; private handling is separate, the slot and the apron are shared. Schiphol counted 14,508 business-aviation movements in the same year, keeps a general-aviation terminal away from the airline piers, and is heavily slot coordinated – the arrival window is booked rather than chosen.

Distance
1,517 km
Great-circle between airport coordinates, Ibiza to Amsterdam Schiphol; the track actually flown is longer than the straight line
Flight time
approx. 2 h 20
A model estimate rather than a measured block time, and the model takes no view of direction. Slots at either end move your day further than the wind does
Departure
IBZ
Ibiza LEIB, one runway, separate business-aviation handling, shared slot and shared ramp; about seven kilometres from Ibiza Town
Arrival
AMS
Amsterdam Schiphol EHAM, about fifteen kilometres from the city, with business aviation at its own general aviation terminal; heavily slot coordinated
Typical aircraft
Midsize jet
Non-stop with the cabin full and the luggage a summer generates; a light jet does it with a shorter passenger list
Busiest months
Jun – Sep
The island season sets the rhythm, and the Dutch end adds its own pressure around the major Amsterdam conference dates
The distance is a great-circle figure between airport coordinates, so the track actually flown is longer than it. The time is a model estimate and not a measured block time: the model is fitted to flight times Diamond Executive Aero Services already publishes on this website, it makes no distinction between the outbound and the return, and routing, wind, slots and aircraft type all move it. The schedule in your quotation is the real one.

Which airports we use

One departure and four possible arrivals, and here the alternatives are not consolation prizes. The Netherlands is small and well supplied with fields; for a great many Dutch addresses the hub is simply the wrong answer.

AirportCodesDistanceSuits you if
IbizaIBZ / LEIB1,517 kmWhere the sector starts, and the field every figure on this page is measured from. One runway, shared through the summer with very heavy scheduled traffic. Business aviation has its own handling; the runway slot and the ramp parking are shared, and in the peak weeks they decide the departure hour.
Amsterdam SchipholAMS / EHAMarrivalThe default, about fifteen kilometres from the city, with business aviation handled at its own general aviation terminal. It is a heavily slot-coordinated airport, so we book the arrival window and the handling together rather than assuming an hour is free.
Rotterdam The HagueRTM / EHRDarrival alternativeAbout sixty kilometres south of Amsterdam and the most useful alternative on this sector. A far quieter environment for a business jet, frequently easier at short notice, and for Rotterdam, The Hague and the southern Randstad it is quicker door to door than the hub.
Lelystad or EindhovenLEY / EHLE, EIN / EHEHelsewhere in the NetherlandsLelystad sits east of Amsterdam and Eindhoven well to the south. Both handle general aviation, and either can make sense for a particular party or a particular aircraft – ask us rather than assume.

Aircraft for Ibiza to Amsterdam

Fifteen hundred kilometres with a full cabin is midsize work. A light jet will do it with fewer people aboard, and we will say so plainly rather than quote something that technically fits and then ask you to travel light.

Midsize jet

The default. Seven to nine passengers, the luggage a summer stay generates, non-stop, and a cabin that makes two hours and twenty minutes a comfortable afternoon rather than a wait.

See the fleet ›

Light jet

Sensible for a small party travelling light, and a real saving when it fits. It is also the easiest category to place on a crowded island apron in August, which occasionally decides the matter on its own.

Super-midsize

For a larger group, for bulky equipment, or when the day continues past Amsterdam. More cabin and more margin if the routing goes long around weather over the Alps or the Bay of Biscay.

What it costs

Indicative price from €10 500 for the whole aircraft, one way – a floor for a sensible aircraft on an ordinary day, not a quotation for a Sunday in August.

The cabin moves it most at this distance. After that come the two ends: positioning, because the aircraft has to reach a busy island and go somewhere useful afterwards, and handling, parking and slots. This is one of the few sectors where the slot conversation happens twice – once for the departure out of Ibiza and once for the arrival into Schiphol – and where an hour that suits one end can be unavailable at the other.

Where the total comes down: a return booked as one trip, and empty legs. Northbound out of the Balearics at the end of the season is one of the more productive corridors in Europe for those, because aircraft that spent the summer working the islands go home.

When to fly, and when to book early

June to September is the season at the island end. The Dutch end runs on a business calendar, so the two overlap awkwardly: August is the quietest month in Amsterdam and the busiest on Ibiza.

Book early whenever either hour is fixed, and expect us to ask about both. The island slot and the Schiphol arrival window are separate negotiations, and securing one without the other is how a plan quietly falls apart. Book earlier still around the major Amsterdam conference dates, when handling at the Dutch end fills before the aircraft do.

Outside the season this is an ordinary two-hour sector and short notice is comfortable. If you can tell us the destination address rather than just «Amsterdam», we will often find you a quicker day at Rotterdam.

Onward from Amsterdam

Amsterdam is frequently a stop rather than an end, and the second leg is easier arranged at the same time as the first.

Amsterdam to Ibiza

The return crossing, and the half most parties book at the same time. Booking both together usually costs less than two one-way flights and secures the island slot in advance.

Amsterdam to Nice

South to the Côte d'Azur, and the usual shape when the summer continues somewhere else rather than ending in the Netherlands.

Amsterdam to Zurich

A short business hop, easy to add to the same booking, and a common second leg when the island stay was the first half of a longer trip.

Questions we get about this route

How long is Ibiza to Amsterdam, and how much ground time should we allow?
About 2 h 20 in the air over 1,517 km. Allow roughly fifteen minutes on the ground at each end at a business terminal, and more at Ibiza in the peak weeks because the apron is full. The flying figure is a model estimate fitted to the flight times we publish ourselves rather than a measured block time.
Why is there a slot conversation at both ends?
Because both airports are constrained, in different ways. Ibiza has one runway and a compact business-aviation apron shared with very heavy summer scheduled traffic. Schiphol is a large hub that is heavily slot coordinated, so the arrival window is booked in advance rather than picked on the morning. We settle both before anything else, because an hour that works at one end can be unavailable at the other.
Schiphol, Rotterdam, Lelystad or Eindhoven?
Schiphol for Amsterdam itself or an onward long-haul connection; it is the field every figure here is measured to. Rotterdam The Hague for Rotterdam, The Hague and the southern Randstad – quieter, often quicker door to door, and frequently easier at short notice. Lelystad if you are heading east, Eindhoven if you are heading south. Give us the address and we will name the field.
Is there a border to cross?
No. Spain and the Netherlands are both inside the Schengen area, so this is an internal flight with no passport desk at either end. Passenger details are still needed for the flight plan and handling, and identification should be carried.
What does €10 500 include, and what moves it?
It is an indicative floor for the whole aircraft, one way. The cabin moves it most at this distance; then positioning, and handling, parking and slots at two constrained airports. Send the dates and the passenger count and the quotation is a real figure in writing rather than a range.
Can a light jet do it?
With a shorter passenger list and less luggage, yes, and it can be a real saving. We will tell you where the limit falls before you choose rather than after. For a full cabin on this distance a midsize is the honest recommendation.
Are there empty legs on this corridor?
Yes, and they cluster: northbound out of the Balearics at the end of the season, when aircraft that spent the summer working the islands go home. The discount range brokers publish is 50 to 75 percent. The trade is that the date and roughly the hour belong to somebody else. Current empty legs
How late can we book?
Outside the season, at a day or two's notice comfortably. In August the island slot is the binding constraint and it is worth weeks rather than days of notice. Call the operations desk on +357 95 119759, staffed twenty-four hours a day, and you will be told which end is the problem on your dates.
