Private Jet Charter Paris to Courchevel

Paris to Courchevel is 508 km and about 1 h 03 of jet time, and the interesting part happens after the jet. Courchevel Altiport is a short, steeply sloping strip with no instrument approach, flown in daylight and acceptable weather by specially qualified crews – in practice by helicopters and short-field types rather than by most business jets. Indicative price from €3 000 one way. Send the dates and we will tell you which combination actually works: +357 95 119759, at any hour.

An hour south-east into the Trois Vallées, and the only route on this website where the aircraft is the easy question and the runway is the hard one. Almost everybody arrives by a jet into a valley field and a helicopter up, and that is not a compromise – it is how the resort is reached. Whole aircraft, single seats and empty legs, arranged 24/7.

The route at a glance

Read honestly, this is two journeys rather than one. The flying half is trivial: 508 km from Le Bourget, about an hour, entirely within France, no border and no permit. The arrival half is the reason the route is asked about at all. Courchevel Altiport is short, steeply sloping and has no instrument approach; it is flown in daylight and in acceptable weather by crews specifically qualified for it, and in practice it is served by helicopters and short-field aircraft rather than by the jet that brought you from Paris.

Distance
508 km
Great-circle between airport coordinates, Paris Le Bourget to Courchevel Altiport; the track actually flown is longer than the straight line
Flight time
approx. 1 h 03
A model estimate rather than a measured block time, and the model takes no view of direction. It does not include the transfer up from a valley field
Departure
LBG
Paris Le Bourget LFPB, wholly business aviation, eight kilometres from the périphérique; night movements are restricted
Arrival
CVF
Courchevel Altiport LFLJ, minutes from the pistes – short, sloping, daylight only, no instrument approach, specially qualified crews. Chambéry and Geneva are the jet alternatives
Typical aircraft
Light jet
Light jet to the valley, helicopter or short-field type for the last leg. Which combination applies depends on the day and on your party
Busiest months
Dec – Mar
A winter route almost entirely: the season is short, it is concentrated on weekends, and the school holidays compress it further
The distance is a great-circle figure between airport coordinates, so the track actually flown is longer than it. The time is a model estimate and not a measured block time: the model is fitted to flight times Diamond Executive Aero Services already publishes on this website, it makes no distinction between the outbound and the return, and routing, wind, slots and aircraft type all move it. The schedule in your quotation is the real one, and on this route it includes the transfer.

Which airports we use

More than on any other route we publish, the answer here is a combination rather than a single field. The question we will ask you first is not which airport you want but how many of you there are, what the forecast is doing and what time you need to be on the snow.

Paris Le BourgetLBG / LFPBdepartureWhere the leg starts, and the field every figure on this page is measured from. Wholly given over to business aviation, eight kilometres from the périphérique, with 55,751 movements in 2023 (EBAA 2023) the busiest such airport in Europe. Night movements are restricted, which on a Sunday evening return is worth knowing in advance.
Courchevel AltiportCVF / LFLJmountain arrivalYour aircraft and your crew are qualified for it, the weather is co-operating and it is daylight. The resort's own strip, minutes from the pistes, and the reason this route is asked about at all: short, steeply sloping, no instrument approach. In practice it is used by helicopters and short-field types rather than by most jets.
Chambéry SavoieCMF / LFLBvalley jet airportThe nearest business-aviation field of any size to the Trois Vallées, and the commonest jet arrival for parties heading to Courchevel. A helicopter shuttle up takes minutes; the road takes far longer. It has weather days of its own, which is a reason to leave margin rather than a reason to avoid it.
GenevaGVA / LSGGvalley jet airport, largerThe party is large, the aircraft is bigger, or the Savoie fields have closed for weather. Further away and much better supplied – the field that still has an aeroplane on it when the others do not. Geneva to Paris is a route we publish in its own right at 409 km and about 56 minutes.

Aircraft for Paris to Courchevel

Five hundred kilometres asks nothing of a jet. What this route asks about is the last fifteen minutes, and that is a different question with a different answer – which is why we quote the combination rather than an aircraft.

Light jet to the valley

A Phenom 300 or a Citation CJ2 into Chambéry is the ordinary shape of this trip. An hour from Paris, then a short transfer up. It is what most parties actually fly, whatever they asked for at the start.

See the fleet ›

Helicopter for the last leg

Minutes rather than an hour of mountain road, and the part of the day people remember. Booked with the jet as one arrangement so that a delay on one leg does not strand you between the two.

Helicopter charter ›

Short-field type direct

Possible when the aircraft, the crew qualification, the daylight and the weather all line up. We will say plainly when they do and, more usefully, when they do not – an altiport is not a runway you improvise with.

What it costs

Indicative price from €3 000 for the whole aircraft, one way – the lowest figure on this corridor and, more than on most routes, a floor rather than a forecast. It describes a small aircraft into a valley field on an ordinary day, and the season is anything but ordinary.

Three things move it. The first is the date: a Saturday in February behaves like a different market from a Tuesday in January, because the whole resort changes over on the same day and every aircraft in the Alps is doing the same thing you are. The second is the last leg – a helicopter transfer is a separate aircraft with its own crew and its own price. The third is where the jet goes afterwards: it rarely stays in the mountains, so a return is often much better value than two one-way flights.

Empty legs exist here in quantity, for a mechanical reason: aircraft deliver parties into the Alps on a Saturday and leave empty, then come back empty to collect. If your dates can bend by a day, this is the single best corridor in Europe on which to ask.

When to fly, and when to book early

The season is December to March and nothing else, which makes this the most concentrated route we publish. Within it the pressure is not spread evenly: Saturdays are the changeover day for the whole Trois Vallées, and the school holidays – French, British and half of Europe's – stack on top of each other in February.

Book as early as you can for the February weekends and for the days around New Year. The binding constraint is rarely the jet: it is helicopter availability, altiport slots and the daylight, and on a short winter day the last of those is not negotiable with anyone.

Weather deserves a sentence of its own. The mountain fields have days when nothing lands, and the honest plan has Geneva in it as a fallback before you need it rather than after. We will build that into the quotation rather than discover it on the morning.

Onward from Courchevel

Most of this traffic returns to Paris, but not all of it, and the second leg is easier arranged with the first.

Back to Paris

The return is the other half of most bookings on this route, and booking it as one trip usually costs less than two one-way flights – the aircraft and crew stay with you rather than repositioning twice.

Courchevel to Paris ›

Geneva and the lake

The larger field an hour away by road and minutes by air, and the fallback that keeps a plan working when the Savoie weather does not. Geneva to Paris is a published route of its own.

Paris to Geneva ›

Empty legs out of the Alps

Aircraft leave the mountains empty on a very predictable rhythm. If you can move a day either way, this corridor rewards it more than any other we publish.

Questions we get about this route

Can we actually land at Courchevel?
Sometimes, and it depends on four things at once: the aircraft type, the crew's specific qualification for the altiport, daylight, and the weather. The strip is short, steeply sloping and has no instrument approach, and in practice it is served by helicopters and short-field types rather than by most business jets. We will tell you honestly which of the four is the obstacle on your dates rather than promise and re-plan later.
If we cannot, what actually happens?
You fly Paris to Chambéry – about an hour – and take a helicopter up, which is minutes rather than the long road. That is the ordinary shape of this trip and not a downgrade: most parties arriving in Courchevel by air arrive this way. If the Savoie weather is against us, Geneva is the larger fallback.
How long is the flight from Paris?
About 1 h 03 in the air over 508 km, plus the transfer at the far end. The flying figure is a model estimate fitted to the flight times we publish ourselves rather than a measured block time, and it does not include the helicopter leg – the schedule in your quotation does.
Is there a border or a permit?
No. Paris and Courchevel are both in France, so this is a domestic flight: no passport desk, no overflight permit, nothing to file beyond the usual. Everything unusual about this route is at the runway, not at the paperwork.
What does €3 000 buy, and what does it leave out?
It is an indicative floor for the whole aircraft, one way, on an ordinary day into a valley field. It does not describe a Saturday in February, and it does not include a helicopter transfer, which is a separate aircraft with its own crew. Tell us the date and the party and the quotation will be a real figure with the transfer in it.
Why are Saturdays so difficult?
Because the whole resort changes over on the same day. Every party arriving and every party leaving wants the same six hours, and helicopter capacity and altiport slots run out well before aircraft do. A Friday or a Sunday is a materially easier day to fly, and usually a cheaper one.
Are there empty legs into the Alps?
More than anywhere else we fly, and for a simple reason: aircraft deliver parties in and leave empty, then return empty to collect. The discount range brokers publish is 50 to 75 percent. The trade is fixed dates and roughly fixed hours. Current empty legs
How late can we book?
Outside the season, at will. Inside it, the honest answer is that February weekends are booked weeks ahead and short notice buys you whatever the weather has just freed up. Call the operations desk on +357 95 119759, staffed twenty-four hours a day, and you will be told what genuinely exists on your dates.
