Private Jet Charter Paris to Madrid

Paris to Madrid is 1,054 km and about 1 h 45 in the air, Paris Le Bourget to Madrid Barajas, normally on a light or midsize jet. Both ends are inside Schengen, so there is no border step in the schedule. We publish no starting figure for this pair; send the dates and the passenger count and a written quotation follows inside 30 minutes, and the operations desk answers at any hour on +357 95 119759.

An hour and three quarters south-west across France and over the Pyrenees, between two capitals whose business calendars overlap almost completely. There is no border and no slot lottery worth worrying about – which leaves the aircraft, the hour and, one week in two years, the Paris Air Show. Whole aircraft, single seats and empty legs, arranged 24/7.

The route at a glance

A corporate corridor with an unusually clean set of conditions at both ends. Le Bourget is eight kilometres from the périphérique, wholly given over to business aviation, and with 55,751 movements in 2023 the busiest such field in Europe. Madrid Barajas counted 14,754 business-aviation movements in the same year and puts private traffic through an executive terminal rather than the passenger halls, so the ground time at the Spanish end is short by design. What is left to plan is the hour, and occasionally the week.

Distance
1,054 km
Great-circle between airport coordinates, Paris Le Bourget to Madrid Barajas; the track actually flown is longer than the straight line
Flight time
approx. 1 h 45 min
A model estimate rather than a measured block time, and the model takes no view of direction. Routing around the Pyrenees moves it more than the wind does
Departure
LBG
Paris Le Bourget LFPB, business aviation only, night movements restricted; Orly is the alternative, Charles de Gaulle only for a long-haul connection
Arrival
MAD
Madrid Barajas LEMD, with an executive aviation terminal separate from the passenger halls – the only realistic arrival for most jets
Typical aircraft
Light / midsize jet
A Phenom 300 or Citation CJ2 for a small party; a midsize above six passengers or with heavy luggage
Busiest months
Mar – Jun, Sep – Nov
The working year at both ends, with a genuinely quiet August in Madrid and a lull over the late-December holidays
The distance is a great-circle figure between airport coordinates, so the track actually flown is longer than it. The time is a model estimate and not a measured block time: the model is fitted to flight times Diamond Executive Aero Services already publishes on this website, it makes no distinction between the outbound and the return, and routing, wind, slots and aircraft type all move it. The schedule in your quotation is the real one.

Which airports we use

Madrid is effectively one answer for a jet; Paris is three fields with different characters. The choice at the Paris end is about which side of the city your morning starts on, and about one week in the calendar when Le Bourget belongs to somebody else entirely.

AirportCodesDistanceSuits you if
Paris Le BourgetLBG / LFPB1,054 kmWhere the leg starts, and the field every distance and time on this page is measured from. Eight kilometres from the périphérique, wholly business aviation, and with 55,751 movements in 2023 (EBAA 2023) the busiest such airport in Europe. Night movements are restricted. In Paris Air Show weeks the field is effectively committed, and we plan around it rather than through it.
Paris OrlyORY / LFPOdeparture alternativeYour morning starts south or south-west of Paris, or Le Bourget has no window at the hour you need. A large scheduled airport with a business-aviation facility attached; slots and stands are shared with airline traffic.
Paris Charles de GaulleCDG / LFPGconnection onlySomebody in the party is arriving off a scheduled intercontinental flight and the walk matters more than the drive. It is not a default and not what the figures here are measured from.
Madrid BarajasMAD / LEMDarrivalWhere the leg ends, and the only realistic arrival for most jets. You use the executive aviation terminal rather than the passenger halls, which keeps the process on the ground short: 14,754 business-aviation movements in 2023 (EBAA 2023). If your destination is on the coast rather than in the capital, tell us and we will quote the coastal field directly instead of adding a drive.

Aircraft for Paris to Madrid

A thousand kilometres is within easy reach of everything we operate, so the choice is about the party and the day rather than about range. The only performance question worth asking is whether the trip continues south or west afterwards, because that is where the cabin starts to matter.

Light jet

The efficient answer for up to six with ordinary luggage. A Phenom 300 or a Citation CJ2 crosses non-stop in comfort, and at 1 h 45 the cabin is adequate rather than a compromise anybody remarks on.

Midsize jet

What we quote above six passengers, with bulky luggage, or when people need to work facing each other. Also the better answer if Madrid is a stop on the way to the Canaries or across the Atlantic.

Super-midsize

Worth it for a larger group, or when the schedule has you landing and going straight into a working day. More cabin, a quieter ride, and margin in hand if the routing goes long around weather over the Pyrenees.

What it costs

We publish no starting figure for Paris to Madrid. At 1 h 45 the hourly rate and the fixed costs are of similar size, and the aircraft category moves the total more than anything about the route does – so a single printed number would be honest for one cabin and wrong for the others.

The quotation is built from four things: the aircraft you take, where it slept and where it has to be next, whether one crew can fly out and back inside a duty day, and handling and parking at both ends. Published hourly rates by class are a reasonable way to compare a light jet with a midsize; they are not a price for this city pair, and multiplying one by 1 h 45 leaves out the positioning flight, which on this corridor is frequently the largest single line.

Two things reliably bring it down. A same-day return, because the aircraft and crew stay with you instead of being repositioned twice. And an empty leg, if your dates can bend – traffic between Paris and Iberia is heavy enough that repositioning flights are a daily occurrence in season.

When to fly, and when to book early

The pattern is corporate and symmetrical: March to June and September to November, busiest early Monday and Tuesday out and late Thursday and Friday home. August in Madrid is genuinely quiet, quieter than most European capitals, and the fortnight around the turn of the year is quiet at both ends.

Two dates deserve early booking. The first is the Paris Air Show, when Le Bourget is effectively committed and the departure end of this route has to be planned around rather than through. The second is the Madrid conference and trade calendar, when the constraint becomes parking at Barajas rather than availability in Paris.

Otherwise short notice is comfortable, and same-day departures are realistic because the pool of aircraft at Le Bourget is the deepest in Europe. What you give up is the choice of cabin, not the flight.

Onward from Madrid

Madrid is often the first stop rather than the only one, and the onward sector costs less arranged together with the outbound – the aircraft and crew are already yours.

The Spanish coast and islands

Malaga, Ibiza and Palma are short sectors from Madrid, and if the coast is where you are actually going we will say so rather than quote the capital and leave you the drive.

Paris to Ibiza ›

Lisbon and the west

An hour or so further, and a common second leg when the week covers both Iberian capitals. Quoted as one trip rather than as two separate charters.

Empty legs

Aircraft reposition between Paris and Iberia constantly through the season, and a good many of those flights carry nobody. Flexible dates are the price of using them.

Questions we get about this route

How long is Paris to Madrid, and how much ground time should we allow?
About 1 h 45 in the air over 1,054 km. Allow roughly fifteen minutes on the ground at each end: at Le Bourget and at the Barajas executive terminal you arrive shortly before departure rather than two hours ahead. The flying figure is a model estimate fitted to the flight times we publish ourselves, not a measured block time, and the model takes no view of direction.
Which Paris airport should we leave from?
Le Bourget unless your morning starts on the wrong side of the city, or unless it is Paris Air Show week. It is eight kilometres from the périphérique, wholly business aviation, and holds the deepest pool of available aircraft in Europe. Orly is the alternative for southern and south-western addresses. Charles de Gaulle only for a long-haul connection.
Is there a border to cross?
No. France and Spain are both inside the Schengen area, so this is an internal flight with no passport desk at either end. Passenger details are still needed for the flight plan and handling, and identification should be carried, but there is no immigration step to schedule around.
Do we land in a terminal or at a private facility?
At Madrid you use the executive aviation terminal rather than the passenger halls, which is what keeps the ground time short. It is part of a very large scheduled airport, so handling and parking are arranged in advance – but you are not walking through an airline concourse to reach a car.
Why is no price published?
Because at 1 h 45 the aircraft category swings the total more than the route does, and the fixed costs – minimum charge, crew day, positioning, handling – are comparable in size to the flying. Published hourly rates compare categories usefully but are not a price for this city pair. Tell us the dates and the passenger count and you get a real figure in writing.
Can we go out and back in one day?
Comfortably. Under two hours each way leaves a full working day in Madrid inside a normal crew duty period, and keeping the aircraft with you is usually cheaper than two separate one-way flights. Give us your meeting times and we will confirm it rather than assume it.
Are there empty legs between Paris and Madrid?
Regularly. Traffic between Paris and Iberia is heavy, and repositioning flights are a daily occurrence in season. The discount range brokers publish is 50 to 75 percent. The trade is a fixed date and roughly a fixed hour. Current empty legs
How late can we book, and can we go today?
Same day is realistic outside Air Show week. What has to line up is an aircraft at or near Le Bourget, a crew inside their duty day, and handling at Barajas. Call the operations desk on +357 95 119759, staffed twenty-four hours a day, and you will be told what genuinely exists rather than promised a call back.
