Private Jet Charter Palma de Mallorca to Dubai

Palma de Mallorca to Dubai by private jet takes about 6 h 52 over 5,113 km, off Palma de Mallorca and into Dubai International, normally on a long-range jet. Indicative price from €54 400 for the whole aircraft, one way. Send the dates and passenger numbers and a written quotation follows inside 30 minutes; the operations desk answers at any hour on +357 95 119759.

The eastbound leg off the island, flown nonstop with one aircraft and one crew and nothing in between. Getting airborne is what Palma decides - in high summer that means a slot and a handling window. Almost everything after the wheels stop is decided in Dubai, and mostly by which of its two airports you land at.

The route at a glance

Palma recorded 17,504 business-aviation movements in 2023, inside the EBAA top fifty; those tables cover Europe only, so nothing comparable exists for the far end and this page prints no invented substitute. The sector itself is easy to describe. 5,113 km is out of reach for every midsize cabin and routine for a long-range one, which is why three aeroplanes appear below instead of a dozen. Flown eastbound it also has a little margin in hand, because the upper winds over Europe and the Middle East blow predominantly from the west and this direction normally carries them behind it rather than ahead.

The distance is a great-circle figure between airport coordinates. The time beside it is modelled rather than measured: it comes from a simple fit to the flight times Diamond Executive Aero Services already publishes here, and the real figure moves with routing, wind, slots and aircraft type. The schedule in your quotation is the one to work from.

Which airports we use

The departure is fixed and the arrival is not, which is the reverse of most island routes on this site. Palma is one airport and one queue, shared in high summer with a great deal of package traffic. Dubai has two fields open to business jets, and which of them you land at is settled by published rules rather than by anyone's preference - so that is where this page spends its length.

AirportCodesRoleWhat that means for you
Palma de MallorcaPMI / LEPADepartureWhere the trip starts and the point every distance here is measured from - 17,504 business-aviation movements in 2023, inside the EBAA top fifty. It is also one of the largest holiday airports in Europe, so in the peak weeks what limits your departure is the slot and the handling window rather than the aeroplane. Agree the hour with us when you book, and say whether it can move by one.
Dubai InternationalDXB / OMDBArrivalWhere the sector ends and the field all the figures on this page are calculated to, because it is the arrival recorded for this route in our own route data. Business aviation is handled away from the scheduled concourses with customs and immigration available at any hour, so landing in the small hours - which an evening departure off the island tends to produce - is a scheduling matter rather than an operational one. If a different field in the emirates is nearer where you are actually going, say so and we will quote it as its own sector instead of reprinting these numbers against it.

Codes and coordinates come from the OurAirports open dataset, retrieved 23 August 2026. The distances are calculated great-circle. Movement counts are EBAA 2023 as published by Private Jet Card Comparisons, 4 June 2024.

The second Dubai airport, and when you land at it

Business jets may use either of Dubai's two airports. The figures on this page belong to Dubai International, which is where we quote unless a reason appears to do otherwise. The alternative is Al Maktoum International, DWC / OMDW, sited twenty nautical miles to the south-west of the city. It runs twenty-four hours a day, clears customs and immigration on its own account, and its runway is 4,500 m - laid out for aeroplanes several sizes above anything in the shortlist below.

The choice belongs to two published rules rather than to us. Slot coordination is the first. Dubai International carries level 3, the designation used where demand for a schedule outruns what an airport is able to absorb, and nothing moves there without an allocated slot; Al Maktoum carries level 2, where the slot is a matter of agreement rather than of rationing. Ground time is the second, and over a stay longer than a day it usually decides on its own. The conditions of use published by Dubai Airports oblige a business jet standing at Dubai International past twenty-four hours to be shifted across to Al Maktoum. So unless the aeroplane flies on somewhere without you, take it that it will spend your visit at Al Maktoum and that the journey home begins from there.

For the sector itself the choice is immaterial and can be treated as such: ninety seconds of cruise separate the two fields, which vanishes inside the tolerance of a modelled time. For the drive afterwards it is not immaterial at all. Al Maktoum is the shorter run to Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah and the longer one to Downtown and the financial district; at Dubai International the pairs swap over. Send us the address you are actually going to and the answer you get back will be whichever field puts you at the door earliest, not whichever one looks better printed on a page.

Aircraft for Palma de Mallorca to Dubai

At 5,113 km range writes the shortlist and everything else follows from it. A midsize cabin will not cross nonstop, and a technical stop turns not quite seven hours into a ten-hour day with a fuel uplift at an airport nobody chose. All three types below manage it in one leg, and eastbound they do it with the wind normally helping rather than hindering. If the summer is finished and the household is coming off the island with you, give us the volume of luggage as well as the number of passengers - in this direction the hold has been known to choose the aeroplane.

Gulfstream G550

Thirteen to nineteen passengers on our fleet page, and the first type we put forward when the party is large or when the same aircraft is to bring everybody back to the island later in the season. Over 5,113 km it has range to spare, which is what lets a full cabin and a full hold travel together instead of trading against one another.

See the Gulfstream G550 ›

Global 5000

Thirteen to fourteen passengers on our fleet page, in a cabin quieter than that seat count implies. The type asked for when the seven hours eastbound are meant to be a working afternoon or a night's sleep. The cabin communications fit varies aircraft by aircraft rather than by type, so ask about the individual aeroplane.

See the Global 5000 ›

Falcon 7X

Thirteen to sixteen passengers. Three engines rather than two, which some passengers weigh across the length of the Mediterranean and the desert beyond it while others never think of it. It also uses shorter runways than the other two - no advantage at either end of this sector, and a real one if the trip continues somewhere smaller after Dubai.

All three are in our own fleet, each with a page to itself, and the seat counts quoted here are read off those pages rather than out of a manufacturer's brochure.

What it costs

From €54 400 one way. Indicative starting price for this route, rounded down. The date, the aircraft actually available and airport fees move it — tell us your dates and we confirm within 30 minutes.

No published price for Palma de Mallorca to Dubai has reached us from a source we would be willing to reprint, so the figure above is a floor and not a quotation. What sets the real number on an eastbound sector of this length is set out below.

Seven hours in the air makes the flying the bill. The landing and handling charges that decide a short hop between the islands are almost irrelevant here; what counts is the hourly cost of the aircraft, the crew duty day and the positioning legs at each end. The first question is therefore where the aeroplane starts, and this route has an unusual property: its two ends are busy in opposite halves of the year, the Mediterranean from June to September and the Gulf from November to March. So the honest answer to "where is a suitable long-range jet standing" changes with the month rather than with the route. Through the summer it is more likely to be in Europe already, which helps this direction; in the Gulf season it is more likely to be waiting at the far end, which does not. The second question is the shape of the return. If you are back inside a few days, keeping the aircraft and crew with you in Dubai is often cheaper than buying two separate one-way sectors, because it saves a positioning leg at both ends rather than one - with the twenty-four hour ground rule above folded in, which in practice means the aeroplane spends the visit at Al Maktoum. Send the whole itinerary rather than the outbound date on its own.

Published market rates for long-range jets in Europe run from about 8,500 EUR an hour at the bottom of the published range to 20,100 EUR an hour at the top; dollar-quoted sources put the same class at 12,000 to 17,000 USD an hour. Those are published market rates collected from broker price pages in August 2026, not our rates, and they are shown only so that you have something to measure a quotation against.

Those hourly references belong to third parties and describe the aircraft class, not this flight. They are printed so that you have something to check any quotation against, ours included, and they bind nobody. A price for this sector means a written quotation from Diamond Executive Aero Services against your own dates. The desk answers at any hour on +357 95 119759.

When to fly, and when to book early

Read from the departure end, the island's calendar describes how hard it is to get out rather than how much demand there is for the seat, and the Gulf's calendar describes what is waiting at the other end. The two seasons rarely coincide, which on this pairing is more help than hindrance.

PeriodWhat happensWhat to do
MayThe island has opened, the weather has turned and the airport is still calm, while the Gulf season is winding down. Eastbound departures at this time of year are frequently flown by aircraft that have finished their winter work at the far end and come north. The easiest month of the year to arrange in this direction. A week or two of notice is normally plenty.
June to SeptemberThe Mediterranean season proper, and on a Saturday morning at Palma a business jet is a small aeroplane in a very large queue - which on a departure is felt as a slot rather than as a delay. Against that, the long-range fleet is on this side of the world in these months, so the aircraft is usually the easy half of the problem. Two to three weeks out for a weekend. Ask us to price a weekday departure alongside it; the difference in both time and money is real.
AugustThe tightest weeks at the departure end, and the end of the month the tightest of all. Slots and handling windows run out rather than aeroplanes, and a party that reaches the terminal late can lose a slot instead of an hour.Six to eight weeks out for the last fortnight. Give us a firm departure hour and tell us whether it can move by one - that flexibility is often worth more than anything else you can offer.
October to AprilThe island empties and the fleet repositions away for the winter. Inside this window is the Gulf season, November to March, which is when demand at the arrival end is at its highest and an eastbound long-range aircraft is worth most on landing.Book the Gulf-season weeks four to six weeks out. Outside them this is the best part of the year for an eastbound empty leg - give us a flexible week and we will watch the repositioning traffic for you.

Seasonality for this pairing comes from our own route research file for diamond.aero, which classifies each published route by its demand window, together with the seasonal windows already published on our Palma de Mallorca and Dubai route pages. Movement counts are EBAA 2023 as published by Private Jet Card Comparisons, 4 June 2024.

Onward from Dubai

This sector is very rarely bought by itself. With the outbound fixed, the conversation turns to the way back to the island, and to what the aeroplane does with the days in between.

Coming back to Mallorca

The westbound half of the pair, over the same 5,113 km on the same class of aircraft. If the return is already dated, ask for both legs at once rather than one after the other.

Keeping the aircraft

On a trip of a few days it is frequently cheaper to keep the aircraft and crew with you than to buy two separate one-ways. We will price it both ways round and show you the difference instead of choosing for you.

The empty leg back west

Between the Gulf season and the Mediterranean one there is a steady flow of long-range aircraft repositioning in both directions. If your dates can move, that flow is worth asking about.

Questions we get about this route

How long is Palma de Mallorca to Dubai, and is the flight back the same?
Roughly 6 hours 52 minutes across 5,113 km great-circle. The figure comes out of a model fitted to times published elsewhere on this site: modelled, not measured, and quoted the same way round whichever direction you are flying. Reality is less even-handed than that. The prevailing upper winds between Europe and the Middle East arrive from the west, which puts them at your back on the way out and in your face on the way home. Half an hour of the estimate can go either way on wind alone, and the only figure that means anything is the flight plan filed on the day.
What decides whether we can leave Palma at the hour we want in August?
Slots and handling windows, not aircraft. Palma is one of the largest holiday airports in Europe and in the peak weeks a business jet takes its turn alongside a great deal of package traffic, so what limits the departure is the window rather than the aeroplane. A party that reaches the terminal late can lose a slot rather than simply an hour. Give us a firm departure time when you book, and tell us if it can move by an hour either way - on this route that flexibility is frequently worth more than anything else you can offer us.
Which Dubai airport will we land at?
Dubai International unless something argues against it, and that is the field all the distances, times and prices on this page are calculated to. Two things move an arrival to Al Maktoum. Slots are the first: Dubai International is level 3 coordinated, Al Maktoum level 2. Parking is the second, because Dubai International's conditions of use require a business jet left on the ground beyond twenty-four hours to be relocated. In the air the two are less than a minute and a half apart. On the road they are not - Al Maktoum is nearer Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah, Dubai International nearer Downtown and the financial district.
Can a smaller jet do it nonstop?
Not one we would offer you. 5,113 km puts this firmly in long-range territory, which is the reason every aeroplane named on this page is a long-range type. Something midsize would have to break the sector for fuel, and once you have paid for the hour on the ground and for the uplift, the cheaper hourly rate that made the idea attractive has generally gone.
If the aircraft stays with us in Dubai, where does it wait?
At Al Maktoum, in almost every case. The conditions of use Dubai Airports publishes for Dubai International oblige an aircraft standing past twenty-four hours to be moved, so on a visit of several days the aeroplane is relocated by rule and not by anybody's choice. Your flying time is untouched - ninety seconds of cruise separate the fields - but the departure home starts from wherever it has been parked, which puts it in the plan rather than in the surprises.
Is it cheaper to keep the aircraft or to book two one-ways?
Over a short trip, keeping it usually wins, because the one booking spares a positioning leg at each end instead of at only one. Stretch the stay out and the sum reverses: two separate sectors become the cheaper pair, and a long stay in the island's high season runs into the stand problem at the Palma end as well. We will quote both shapes and let you read the difference for yourself - which is why the useful thing to send is the whole itinerary and not the outbound date alone.
What does it cost, and why is there no exact figure?
€54 400 one way, as a floor rather than a figure. No published price for this city pair has reached us from a source we would be willing to reprint, and inventing one to fill the space would be worse than leaving it empty. For a sense of the width: published market rates for long-range jets in Europe span roughly 8,500 to 20,100 EUR an hour. Which part of that span your flight sits in turns on your dates and on where a suitable aeroplane happens to be standing - and on this pairing that leans unusually hard on the month, since the two ends run their seasons in opposite halves of the year.
What do you need from us before the day?
The complete passenger list with passport details, and as early as you can manage it rather than at the aircraft steps. On a Gulf routing the overflight and landing permits take longer to arrange than they do on anything flown inside Europe, and they are arranged off the passenger list. Tell us at the same time about anything travelling with you that is not luggage - pets in particular - because that is the part of a trip which cannot be sorted out at the terminal.
Are there empty legs going out to the Gulf?
Empty legs are repositioning flights carried out with nobody in the cabin, and the discounts published on them run between 50 and 75 percent. On this pairing they gather outside the island's season, while long-range aeroplanes are moving between the Mediterranean, the Alps and the Gulf, so October, November, March and April are the months to ask in. Flexibility is what buys one: if your day can move either way, tell us at the enquiry and not once a quotation is on the table. Current empty legs.
How late can we book the outbound?
Later than instinct suggests, and not as late as a hop between two European cities. What binds is seldom the aeroplane: it is the crew duty day, the permits described above, and in the peak weeks the departure slot off the island. Give the desk as much of the day as you can and it will tell you what is genuinely achievable instead of agreeing first and checking afterwards. Somebody answers at any hour on +357 95 119759.
