Private Jet Charter Naples to London

Naples to London is 1,654 km and about 2 h 30 min in the air, Capodichino to London Luton, flown on a midsize cabin. This is the homeward half of a summer, and two things decide how the day goes: how long it takes to get off the coast and into Capodichino, and which of the London fields puts you nearest the address you are actually returning to. No fixed starting figure is printed here – on a route with a four-month season one number would be wrong for eight of them. Dates and heads, and a written quotation follows within 30 minutes. +357 95 119759, at any hour.

Two and a half hours north-west and the Bay of Naples is behind you. The party is usually larger on the way home than it looked on the way out, and so is the luggage, so tell us the number of bags as well as the number of people – on this sector the hold reaches its limit before the seats do. Whole aircraft, single seats and repositioning flights, arranged around the clock.

The route at a glance

Northbound, 1,654 km, and a sector whose difficulty is almost entirely on the ground rather than in the air. Nothing about 2 h 30 in a midsize cabin is demanding. What needs planning is the morning: a party leaving Capri, Positano or Sorrento is still an hour or two from the aeroplane when the day starts, and at the far end the United Kingdom is a frontier rather than a formality. Both of those are solved by telling us where you are starting from and where you are going, not by choosing a bigger jet.

The distance is a great-circle figure between airport coordinates, so the track actually flown is longer than it. The time is a model estimate and not a measured block time: the model is fitted to flight times Diamond Executive Aero Services already publishes on this website, it makes no distinction between the outbound and the return, and routing, wind, slots and aircraft type all move it. The schedule in your quotation is the real one.

Airport coordinates and codes: OurAirports open dataset, retrieved 23 August 2026; the distance is computed great-circle between Capodichino and Luton. The flight time comes from a model fitted to flight times already published on this website, it is blind to direction, and its largest deviation against those published times is 14 minutes.

Which airports we use

One departure that decides itself and three arrivals that do not. Naples has a single field and it happens to be a good one. London has several, and choosing between them is the one decision on this route that can still save you an hour after the aeroplane has landed. It turns on the postcode you are heading for, not on which airport you flew out of.

AirportCodesRoleWhat it means for you
Naples CapodichinoNAP / LIRNDepartureYour departure, and the point every distance and time here is measured from. It sits close in to the city, which is the reason it serves the whole bay: Capri, Ischia, Sorrento, Positano and the Amalfi coast all feed into it by helicopter, car or boat. None of those last legs is flown by the jet, so on departure day they sit in front of the flight rather than after it. Give us the address you are leaving and the hour you want to be off the ground, and we work the road or the helicopter backwards from there.
London LutonLTN / EGGWArrival, defaultThe arrival this page is calculated to. It is the busiest business-aviation field in the United Kingdom, which in practice means the widest choice of aircraft on any given day and the best odds that something suitable is already where it needs to be. It sits north of London and is straightforward from the M1 and the north-west.
FarnboroughFAB / EGLFArrival alternativeA dedicated business-aviation airport with no scheduled traffic at all. If the evening ends in Surrey, Hampshire or the west of London, this is the field that gets you there rather than across it, and we fly this sector into it as readily as into Luton.
London Biggin HillBQH / EGKBArrival alternativeSouth-east London, Kent and the City. No scheduled traffic, so the time on the ground is short – which is the point for anyone whose diary rather than the fare is the constraint. Say where you need to be and we will name the field instead of defaulting to one.

Aircraft for Naples to London

At 1,654 km and two and a half hours this is midsize territory, and the cabin stops being a detail somewhere in the second hour. The type is usually settled by what is in the hold rather than by who is in the seats: a family coming home from a fortnight on the coast travels with a fortnight of luggage, plus whatever the fortnight added to it.

Cessna Citation XLS+

Standing room in a midsize shell, and the ordinary answer for a family or a small group heading home at the end of a week. By the second hour the extra height has paid for itself.

See the Citation XLS+ ›

Hawker 800XP

Ask for it when what defeats you is the luggage rather than the head count: a proper galley, a lavatory behind a door, and hold volume built for long stays. Say so at the enquiry; discovering it at the steps costs a morning.

See the Hawker 800XP ›

Cessna Citation Latitude

Most recent of the three, with a flat floor and a notably quiet interior. Worth naming when children are aboard, or when you want the run north to be the last unhurried hour of the holiday instead of the first chore of getting back.

See the Citation Latitude ›

All three have pages of their own in our fleet section. Heavier cabins fly this sector too and become the sensible answer for a larger party or for a group travelling with sports equipment.

What it costs

There is no starting figure on this page, in either direction, and printing one would be the dishonest option rather than the helpful one. The same 1,654 km flown on the Saturday that ends August and flown in the middle of November are not the same purchase, and nothing that separates them happens in the air. Send the dates and you have a real number inside half an hour.

Hourly rates for the cabin class do get published, by other people, and we reprint them so you have a yardstick to hold against any quotation, ours included. For European midsize cabins LunaJets publishes EUR 8,400 to 12,900 per hour, undated. Eurosky publishes from EUR 4,500 per hour, dated 19 February 2026. Paramount Business Jets publishes USD 4,700 to 5,500 per hour, August 2026. Every one of those describes a class of aeroplane across a continent, not this sector, and none of them binds anybody.

What you must not do is multiply one of them by 2 h 30. Such a sum has paid for no part of the crew’s working day, nothing to land or handle the aeroplane at either end, and not a euro towards bringing it to Capodichino in the first place – which, on a northbound departure in the season, is usually the single largest line separating two quotations for one and the same flight. Put the question aloud to us and to anybody else bidding: where does this aeroplane begin its day, and what is it contracted to do once it has set you down in England?

If your dates have any give in them, ask what is already going north that week. The European fleet drifts towards the Mediterranean in the spring and comes back in the autumn, so the northbound half of that swing runs from roughly September onwards – which is exactly the direction you are travelling and exactly the season in which most people fly home.

Every hourly figure above was published by somebody else, belongs to a class of aeroplane rather than to this sector, and is reprinted here as a yardstick for auditing quotations rather than as material for constructing one. A price on this route means a written quotation from Diamond Executive Aero Services set against your own dates and passenger numbers. +357 95 119759, 24/7.

When to fly, and when to book early

One season, drawn sharply. June to September is when the bay is full and everybody wants to leave it on the same three or four Saturdays; May and October are the shoulders and are where the value sits for anyone not tied to a school term.

PeriodWhat happensWhat to do about it
June to SeptemberHigh Mediterranean season. You are bidding not only for an aeroplane but for the hour you want to be airborne and for whatever – rotor, car or hull – has to deliver you to it. Nothing in the year is harder to place than the final weekend of AugustAllow four to six weeks for a departure in July or August. Send the hour you need to be standing at Capodichino, not merely the day, together with the address you are setting out from: in these weeks it is the run to the airport that runs out, never the jet
May and OctoberShoulder weeks. Everything along the coast is open and staffed, the weather has settled one way or the other, and the crowd is either still to come or already gonePrice and availability are at their most agreeable together. Where your dates have any give, October is the month in which to ask what is being repositioned northward
November to MarchThe quiet half of the year. The bay reverts to being a working city rather than a resort, and what is left flying belongs to people with a reason rather than a holidayBooking late is realistic, and the aeroplane is seldom what blocks it. Agree an evening departure beforehand even so – in midwinter the usable part of the day closes before your diary thinks it has
AprilBefore the season proper, with the fleet already drifting towards the Mediterranean to meet it – which leaves your direction the emptier of the two. Easter can drop one crowded week into an otherwise placid monthIf your dates touch Easter, enquire early. If they do not, this is a month for asking about a repositioning flight rather than for buying a charter outright

The seasonal pattern above describes the Mediterranean summer as it falls on this corridor. It is not a published seasonal index for this city pair, and we print no figures for it.

Onward from London

For a good many parties Luton is the middle of a journey rather than the end of one. A second sector agreed in the same conversation as the first is almost always better value than the same sector bought on its own a fortnight later.

London to Geneva

The short hop into Switzerland, and the leg most often bolted on when the summer ends in a meeting rather than at home. It also turns a coastal booking into a winter one without changing anybody’s phone number.

London to Paris

Under an hour across the Channel. Worth asking about at the same time when London is the working stop on the way home rather than the destination.

Questions we get about this route

How long is Naples to London?
About 2 hours 30 minutes in the air across 1,654 km, which is 893 nautical miles great-circle from Capodichino to Luton, plus roughly a quarter of an hour on the apron at each end. That time is modelled rather than measured: it comes from a model fitted to flight times this website already publishes, its largest deviation against them is 14 minutes, it takes no view of which way round you are flying, and routing, wind, slots and aircraft type all move it.
Which London airport should we land at?
Luton unless your evening argues otherwise, and it is the field every figure here is calculated to: the busiest business-aviation airport in the country, with the deepest daily choice of aircraft, north of London and easy from the M1. Farnborough is the better answer for Surrey, Hampshire and west London; Biggin Hill for south-east London, Kent and the City, where the short ground time is the whole point. Tell us the address rather than the airport and we will quote to whichever gets you there first.
We are starting the morning on Capri or the Amalfi coast. How early do we need to move?
Earlier than most people expect, because the first part of the journey is not flown by us. Capri has no airport and neither does the Amalfi coast, so everybody reaches Capodichino by helicopter, car or boat, and in July and August that leg is the one with no slack in it. Give us the address you are leaving, the hour you want to be off the ground, and whether anybody in the party is uneasy about a helicopter – we arrange the last leg alongside the jet so it is confirmed rather than hoped for. Helicopter charter.
What happens at the border when we land in the UK?
The United Kingdom is outside the European Union and outside the Schengen area, so this is an international arrival rather than an internal European flight: passports for everyone on board, and general-aviation customs and immigration clearance arranged in advance with the handling agents at the London end rather than assumed on arrival. At a business-aviation terminal that is a short procedure beside the aeroplane, but it is a procedure, and it is booked with the flight. Send the complete passenger list with passport details well ahead of the day.
Why is no price printed on this page?
Because a single figure would be wrong for most of the year. On a corridor with a four-month season the week you choose moves the number more than the distance does, and the page cannot know which week you mean. What is public is hourly and by class: EUR 8,400 to 12,900 per hour for European midsize cabins (LunaJets, undated), from EUR 4,500 per hour (Eurosky, 19.02.2026), USD 4,700 to 5,500 per hour (Paramount Business Jets, August 2026). Not one of those is a price for 1,654 km, and the product of any of them with 2 h 30 has paid for no part of the crew’s day, nothing to handle the aeroplane at either end, and nothing towards bringing it down to Naples to begin with.
How many of us fit, with a fortnight of luggage?
Over a sector this length a midsize cabin usually takes six to nine people with their luggage – but on the way home it is the hold that fills first, not the seats. Give us the head count and then an honest inventory of bags, sizes included, and whatever was acquired on the coast; we will say which cabin genuinely swallows it rather than which one does so on a specification sheet. Should the answer be the next size up, far better you read it here than hear it beside the steps.
Do empty legs run northbound, and when?
They do, and when is the part worth knowing. Europe’s fleet migrates towards the Mediterranean through spring and early summer and works its way back up from around September, which puts your direction on the favourable side of that swing for the second half of the year. The bargain is that you take the day the operator has and roughly the hour it suits him, and pay a great deal less for it – so a diary with slack in it profits and a fixed appointment does not. Current empty legs, and single seats on flights we open for sharing.
Can we leave Naples at short notice in August?
Sometimes, and the honest limit is not the aeroplane. What can be confirmed on the day is usually decided by the ground – the hour off the stand at Capodichino and the transfer that has to deliver you to it – rather than by whether a midsize cabin exists somewhere in Italy. Outside the season a same-day departure north is realistic. In the peak weeks, call the desk and we will tell you straight away whether your timing works instead of promising and checking afterwards: +357 95 119759, at any hour.
