London to Naples is 1,654 km south-east, about 2 h 30 min in the air, London Luton to Naples Capodichino, normally on a midsize jet. We publish no fixed starting price for this route, because between May and October the week you choose moves it more than anything else does: send us the dates and the passenger count and a written quotation follows within 30 minutes, at any hour, on +357 95 119759.
South-east to the Bay of Naples in about 2 h 30 on a midsize jet. Four months of the year carry most of the traffic on this pairing, and in those months the useful conversation is about the onward leg to the coast as much as about the flight itself. Arranged 24/7.
REQUEST A QUOTE1,654 km south-east, and a route with a season rather than a timetable. From June to September the Bay of Naples is where a large part of northern Europe wants to be, with May and October as the shoulders either side. Outside those months the same sector is one of the quieter things we fly - the aircraft is easy, the price is calmer, and almost nothing about the day is decided by other people's plans.
Naples Capodichino sits close to the city, which is the reason most parties flying south choose it over anything further away: what you save on this route is not only the flight, it is the drive at the end of it. At the London end there is a real choice, and it is worth making it on the morning you actually have rather than out of habit.
| Airport | Codes | Distance | Suits you if |
|---|---|---|---|
| London Luton | LTN | 1,654 km | Your departure as quoted here, and the field all the distances and times on this page are calculated to. It suits the City and the north of London, and it is where the widest daily choice of midsize aircraft around London tends to be standing. |
| Farnborough | FAB | departure alternative | The same route with a different beginning. If your morning starts in west London, Surrey or Hampshire, Farnborough usually gets you into the air sooner, and we fly this sector from there as well. Tell us where you will be, not which airport you normally use. |
| Naples Capodichino | NAP | arrival | Where the sector ends, and close enough to the city that the transfer is a short one. It is also the arrival for Sorrento, Positano and the Amalfi coast, and the point at which most parties change to a car, a boat or a helicopter for the last part of the journey - which is why it is worth telling us the final address rather than only the airport. |

At 1,654 km this is a midsize sector, and about 2 h 30 in the air is long enough that the cabin stops being a detail. In the summer months the choice is usually settled by the luggage rather than by the headcount: a family going down for a fortnight on the coast packs like a family going down for a fortnight.
The stand-up midsize cabin and the common answer for a family or a small group heading south for a week. Two and a half hours is long enough for the extra cabin height to be worth having.
See the Citation XLS+ ›The step up when the bags rather than the party are the problem: a full galley, a separate lavatory and the hold volume for a long stay on the coast. That is a question you answer on the way out, not on the way home.
See the Hawker 800XP ›The newest midsize of the three, with a flat floor and a quiet cabin. Worth asking for when there are children aboard or when the flight south is the start of the holiday rather than the last chore before it.
See the Citation Latitude ›All three types are on our own fleet pages. Heavier cabins can be arranged on this sector too.
There is no honest single figure for London to Naples, so we do not print one. On a route with a four-month season, the identical 1,654 km sector flown in the second week of August and flown in the second week of November is not the same product, and a price on a web page cannot tell you which one you are buying.
What is published, and what we are happy to quote to you as a reference, are hourly rates for the aircraft class. Brokers publish EUR 8,400 to 12,900 per hour for European midsize jets (LunaJets, Europe, undated), others quote from EUR 4,500 per hour (Eurosky, 19.02.2026) and others publish USD 4,700 to 5,500 per hour (Paramount Business Jets, August 2026). Use them to sanity-check a quotation, including ours. Do not use them to build one: multiplying any of those rates by 2 h 30 leaves out the crew day, the landing and handling at both ends, and the cost of getting the aircraft to London before it can take you anywhere.
In the summer months there is one more question worth asking us out loud, because it is where the money moves: what does the aircraft do after it has put you down. Released after the drop, it is one price. Held for you through your stay, it is another, and the difference belongs in the quotation you read before you fly rather than in the invoice you read afterwards. Ask us to price it both ways. And if your dates bend at all, ask what is already going south that week - the seasonal drift of the European fleet towards the Mediterranean throws off repositioning flights in exactly the direction you are travelling.
One season, clearly drawn. June to September is when this route is genuinely busy; May and October are the shoulders, and they are where the value sits for anyone whose dates are not fixed by a school term.
| Period | What happens | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| June to September | The Mediterranean summer, and the weeks when everybody wants to travel the way you are travelling. The competition is not only for aircraft but for the departure hours everyone else also wants, and for the ground arrangements at the far end. | Four to six weeks out for a weekend in July or August. Give us the hour you want to be on the coast rather than the date alone, and tell us the final address - the onward leg is what runs short in these weeks, not the jet. |
| May and October | The shoulder months. The coast is open, the weather has usually made up its mind, and the crowd has either not arrived or just left. | The best combination of price and availability on this pairing. If your dates bend, this is the window in which to ask for a southbound repositioning flight. |
| November to March | The quiet half of the year. Naples carries on being a city rather than a resort, and the traffic on this corridor falls back to whoever has a reason to go. | Short notice is realistic and the aircraft is rarely the obstacle. Confirm late departures in advance all the same: in midwinter the day ends earlier than the diary suggests. |
| April | The season has not started, but the fleet is beginning to move south for it, and Easter can pull a busy week into an otherwise calm month. | Ask early if your dates touch Easter, and ask about empty legs if they do not. This is one of the months in which the aircraft are already going your way. |
Seasonality here describes the Mediterranean summer pattern on this corridor, not a published seasonal index for this pair.
For many parties Naples is the connection rather than the destination: the aircraft lands, and the coast is still a boat, a car or a helicopter away. Say where you are actually going when you ask for the quotation, and the last leg is arranged with the flight instead of after it.
Sorrento, Positano and the islands are reached from Capodichino by road, by boat or by helicopter. We arrange the helicopter leg alongside the jet rather than leaving you to find one in August, which is when finding one late is hardest.
Helicopter charter ›The other end of the same Italian season, on the same class of aircraft and out of the same London fields. Worth comparing if the destination is still open.
London to Olbia ›The European fleet drifts towards the Mediterranean each summer and back each autumn. If your dates bend at all, that swing is where the saving on this route lives.
Current empty legs ›Tell us your dates and how many of you there are. Your dedicated flight advisor will come back with aircraft options and a firm price.
All published routes are listed on the route index. Also useful: the fleet, current empty legs, jet sharing.
