Munich to Paphos is 2,282 km and about 3 h 17 in the air, nonstop on a super-midsize cabin – Challenger 350, Legacy 500 or Gulfstream G280. Bavaria has two sensible departure fields and most people have heard of only one of them, which is the first thing worth fixing; the hour you leave is the second, because night movements at Munich are restricted and the business-aviation field west of the city keeps narrower hours still. Our own floor is €28 500 one way for the whole aeroplane, with the sum printed below. +357 95 119759, at any hour.
Three and a quarter hours south-east and you are on the west coast of Cyprus rather than an hour’s drive from it. Tell us the party, the dates and the address you are heading for after landing, and we will name the airport that fits it and tell you what is genuinely free on your days.
REQUEST A QUOTEA long, straightforward sector that the class flies without strain. Two decisions do the real work, and both belong at the Bavarian end. Which field you leave from – the hub with its general-aviation terminal, or the purpose-built business-aviation airport west of the city – and what time you can actually get airborne, because Munich restricts night movements and the alternative closes earlier still. The Cyprus end is the easy half: we are based on the island, so on this heading the aeroplane is finishing its day at home rather than being left out of position.
Airport coordinates and codes: OurAirports open dataset, retrieved 23 August 2026; distance computed great-circle. Munich movement count: EBAA 2023 via Private Jet Card Comparisons, 4 June 2024. Handling and operating windows move with the season and we verify them against your actual dates.
Two genuine choices at the departure end and one at the arrival end, and neither of them is a technicality. In Bavaria the question is the field and the hour; in Cyprus it is which coast your bed is on. Say where you are staying at the enquiry and both answers fall out by themselves.
| Field | Code | Role on this route | What decides it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Munich | MUC / EDDM | Departure | The main airport handles business aviation in full, from a general-aviation terminal kept well apart from the passenger halls – 13,197 business-aviation movements in 2023. Choose it for the city itself, for everything east of it, and for anyone arriving on a scheduled service the evening before. The constraint that matters on a departure is the restriction on night movements: a late meeting does not automatically translate into a late take-off, so give us the hour you need to leave and we will confirm whether it exists. |
| Oberpfaffenhofen | OBF / EDMO | Alternative departure | Twenty-odd kilometres west of the city, and a purpose-built business-aviation airport rather than a corner of a hub: its own terminal, its own handling, quieter and quicker on the ground. For the western and southern side of the region it is a materially shorter drive. Its own hours are narrower than Munich’s, which is precisely why the departure window gets settled before anything else. Ask for it by name – most enquiries assume the main airport is the only option. |
| Salzburg | SZG / LOWS | Alpine alternative | The Austrian Alps and the Tegernsee side of the region, about 1 h 30 from Munich by road. It is the right answer when the week that is ending happened in the mountains rather than in the city, and the wrong one when it did not. |
| Paphos | PFO / LCPH | Arrival | The western field and the calmer of the two Cypriot international airports, closer to Limassol and the west coast than Larnaca is, and the short drive for Coral Bay, Polis, Latchi and the Akamas. Quieter on the ground, with handling arranged ahead of the day rather than on it. |
| Larnaca | LCA / LCLK | Alternative arrival | The busier Cypriot field, 45 minutes by road from Limassol, and the one our own operations desk sits on. It serves the south and the east – Ayia Napa, Nicosia – and it is the answer when your address is on that side of the island or when the arrival hour is an awkward one. |

Three and a quarter hours with a full cabin and real luggage is super-midsize work, and there is margin in it rather than the aeroplane being flown to its limit. Range therefore rarely decides the type. What decides it is the party and the hold – and on a departure out of a restricted window, what can actually be placed at your field on your hour.
Our first suggestion here: a wide cabin on a flat floor with standing height, and enough hold for a family’s worth of luggage without anyone deciding what stays behind.
Challenger 350 ›Comparable reach and a notably quiet cabin over three hours, and frequently the aeroplane that is free on your date when the Challenger is not. Name both and you fly sooner.
Legacy 500 ›The quickest of the three and long in the legs for its class. The one to ask for when the departure has to fit a narrow Bavarian window and you would rather recover the margin in the air.
Gulfstream G280 ›From €28 500 one way for the whole aeroplane, rounded down. It is our own floor rather than a quotation or a tariff: the date, which aeroplane is genuinely free on it and what the two airports charge for handling all move the figure. Send the dates and we confirm in writing inside half an hour.
No third party has published a whole-aircraft price for this city pair that we would be prepared to reprint under our own name, in either direction. So we built the number instead of borrowing one, and we show the parts. The flight time on this page is charged as 3.28 hours. It is multiplied by the bottom of the published European hourly range for the cabin class, 8,700 EUR an hour, and the result is rounded down. That is a floor set by market rates, and nothing more than that.
| Reference | Applies to | Published figure | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Whole aircraft, this route | Munich to Paphos | from €28 500 | Our own floor, not a quotation: 3.28 h charged × 8 700 EUR/h, the lower bound of the published range for the cabin class (LunaJets, Europe, undated), rounded down |
| Hourly, midsize cabins | Europe | 4,600 – 9,700 EUR per hour | Broker published range, undated, retrieved 23.08.2026 |
| Hourly, entry level | Europe | from 2,900 – 3,500 EUR per hour | Broker published range, 19.02.2026 |
| Hourly, dollar-quoted | Light to midsize | 3,750 – 4,600 USD per hour | Broker published range, August 2026 |
| Empty leg | depends on the day | discounts of 50 – 75% are published | Broker price pages, retrieved 2026 |
Everything in that table other than our own floor was published by somebody else, describes a class of aeroplane rather than this sector, and is reprinted only so that you have a yardstick to hold against any offer – ours included. Three questions move a real quotation on a sector this long: where the aeroplane is starting from, whether you want it to wait on the island or fly home, and which hour it can leave Bavaria. The middle one is worth thinking about before you ask: over a few days keeping the aircraft with you often beats paying for four sectors instead of two, and over a fortnight it rarely does.
GET A FIRM PRICEGermany takes its holidays in blocks rather than spreading them, so on this corridor demand arrives all at once and then disappears. Read from the departure end the pattern is simple enough to plan around, and the part that tightens first is almost never the aeroplane.
| Period | What happens | What to do about it |
|---|---|---|
| June to September | The heavy weeks in both directions. What runs short is what happens after landing: apron space on the island for an aeroplane that is staying, handling staff at the popular hours, ground transport | Ask about parking in the same message as the aircraft, not after it is booked. Three to four weeks for a date that cannot move. If the aeroplane is not staying, say so – it deletes the parking question |
| The Bavarian school holiday blocks | The region releases its families inside fixed windows, so the traffic concentrates within them instead of spreading across the summer. Cabins fill, luggage gets heavier, and the convenient departure hours go first | Book the window rather than the day where you can, and count the bags as well as the people: on a full cabin the hold chooses the aeroplane |
| October to April | Much of Europe slows and Cyprus does not. From December to March southern Germany is mostly travelling to the Alps rather than to the Mediterranean, which leaves this heading unusually open | The realistic months for short notice, and the ones in which asking what is repositioning pays best |
| Easter, Christmas, and the May / late September shoulder | Two short hard peaks on either side of the holidays; either side of them, everything is open and pricing is gentler | Fix holiday dates early – the days nearest the holiday go first. If your dates can move at all, move them into the shoulder weeks |
In any month, name the departure hour before you settle the aircraft type. Munich restricts night movements and Oberpfaffenhofen closes earlier still, so an evening that slips in Bavaria does not simply mean landing late in Cyprus – past a certain point it means leaving in the morning instead.
Paphos is frequently the first stop of a trip rather than the last one. A second sector agreed in the same conversation as the first is nearly always cheaper than the same sector bought on its own a week later.
West into Greece, and the continuation asked for most by parties whose Cyprus stay was the working half of the trip rather than the holiday.
Paphos to Athens ›The long westbound run home, and the leg most often placed on the end of an island stay when the return is not going back to Bavaria.
Paphos to London ›Back into the Alpine side of Europe. The sector that turns a week on the west coast into the next booking without changing anybody’s phone number.
Paphos to Geneva ›Tell us your dates and how many of you there are. Your dedicated flight advisor will come back with aircraft options and a firm price.
