Munich to Larnaca is 2,340 km and an estimated 3 h 22 in the air, flown in one leg with every seat and the hold in use. Bavaria sends two quite different sorts of passenger down this corridor — industrial parties on weekdays, whole families in the holiday blocks — and the two ask the island for different things. Indicative from €29 200 for the whole aircraft, one way. Tell us when you want to travel and a written quotation follows inside 30 minutes; +357 95 119759 reaches the Cyprus desk at any hour.
Bavaria to the eastern Mediterranean inside three and a half hours, and two departure fields to choose between in Munich, the second of which most passengers never hear about until we raise it.
REQUEST A QUOTEThe distance is unremarkable for the class and the aeroplane is rarely the difficult part. What shapes this route is the calendar. Southern Germany empties into the Mediterranean in fixed blocks rather than evenly, and when a block opens the constraint stops being the aircraft and becomes the ground at the far end: apron space at Larnaca, staff to turn the aeroplane round, the hour you wanted to land. Almost everything useful on this page follows from that.
Munich is the rare European city where the obvious airport is not automatically the correct one, and sixteen kilometres in the air can be worth an hour on the road. The Cyprus end is the simpler decision of the two, but it is not automatic either.
| Airport | Codes | Great-circle to Larnaca | Suits you if |
|---|---|---|---|
| Munich | MUC / EDDM | 2,340 km | The default, and the point from which every figure on this page is measured. A very large airline airport that keeps a separate facility for business aircraft, with 13,197 such movements logged in 2023 and a limit on what may fly at night. Choose it for the city itself, for everything east of it, and for anyone who came into Munich on a scheduled service the evening before |
| Oberpfaffenhofen | OBF / EDMO | 2,356 km | A minute and a half further away in the air — sixteen kilometres — and an airport built for business aviation and nothing else. West and south of the city, and out along the industrial belt towards Starnberg and the lakes, it shortens the drive appreciably and turns the aeroplane round faster. The price of that is shorter opening hours and a thinner choice of handling, so it belongs in the first message rather than the last |
| Larnaca | LCA / LCLK | arrival | Where the sector ends and where this company works from. It is the island's principal gateway for business aircraft and the sensible landing for Nicosia, for Limassol and for the eastern coast. Because the desk stands on the airfield and somebody is at it at every hour, landing outside office hours is arranged rather than negotiated |
| Paphos | PFO / LCPH | 2,282 km | Fifty-eight kilometres closer to Munich, and an hour further by road from anything on the eastern side of the island. Take it if you are staying in the west. Fewer aircraft are free there on the day and the handling choice is narrower, so it wants notice |
German passengers are caught out by the border more often than by anything else on this route. Germany sits inside the Union and inside Schengen; Cyprus sits inside the Union alone. The result is a flight that never leaves the EU and still meets a passport officer twice, once at each end, whichever way you are going. At a business terminal that is a short exchange next to the aircraft rather than a hall full of people, and it is shorter still when the full passenger list, passport details included, has been with us since the booking.

This is the section to read before choosing a date. Germany takes its holidays in blocks, and when a block opens the traffic into Cyprus arrives all at once. Even then the aeroplane is usually findable; what tightens is everything that happens after it lands. Below is what each part of the year does to an arrival at Larnaca.
| Period | What it does to the arrival end | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| June to September | The heavy weeks. Larnaca is not one of Europe's fifty busiest fields for business aircraft, and in high summer it is coping with a seasonal peak rather than a level year. Apron space for an aeroplane that is staying, staff at a popular hour and ground transport all tighten together | Ask about parking and about handling at the moment you ask about the aircraft, not once it is booked. Three to four weeks ahead for a date that cannot move. If the aeroplane is not staying on the island, say so — it deletes the parking question entirely |
| The school holiday blocks | Bavaria releases its families inside fixed windows, so demand on this corridor concentrates within them rather than spreading across the summer. Cabins fill, luggage gets heavier and the convenient arrival hours go first | Book the window rather than the day where that is possible, and count the bags as well as the people. On a full cabin it is the hold that chooses the aeroplane |
| September to June, weekdays | The working half of the year. Bavaria's industry and professions keep a steady trickle of small parties moving, and southbound is the quiet direction — what you ask for is usually what you get | One to two weeks. These are the realistic months for short notice, and the ones in which a repositioning flight is worth asking about |
| December to March | Southern Germany mostly travels to the Alps rather than to the Mediterranean, which leaves this corridor unusually open in our direction | The easiest weeks of the year to arrange at short notice, and the cheapest on which to move a date |
The seasonal classification comes from our own route research file, routes_shortlist.csv, dated 23 August 2026; movement counts from EBAA 2023. It describes a pattern and guarantees nothing, and your actual week is checked before anything is quoted.
2,340 km with a full cabin and holiday luggage is super-midsize work, and there is margin in it rather than the aeroplane being flown to its limit. That widens the choice, which means range is rarely what decides. In the working months the deciding quality is a cabin five people can sit round; in the holiday months it is the size of the hold.
Takes eight to ten people on a flat floor with standing height. Our first recommendation here, and the aeroplane that swallows a mixed load of passengers and suitcases without anybody having to decide what stays behind.
See the Bombardier Challenger 350 ›Nine to twelve seats and a quiet cabin, usually the cheapest honest way to move a full party across three and a half hours. It also copes with short runways, which is what turns Oberpfaffenhofen from a compromise into a real option.
See the Cessna Citation Sovereign ›Eight to ten seats and the quickest of the three. Name it when the departure has to fit a narrow Munich window and you would rather win the margin back in the air than argue for it on the ground.
See the Gulfstream G280 ›Each of the three has a page of its own in the fleet section. Bigger cabins run this sector all the time — the empty leg we publish between Larnaca and Munich was flown by a Legacy 650 — so raise them once the party passes twelve.
From €29 200 one way, whole aircraft, rounded down. It is a starting point and not an offer: what you are eventually charged depends on the day you pick, on which aeroplane is free that day and on what the two airports charge for handling it. Send the dates and we confirm in writing inside half an hour.
Nobody publishes a whole-aircraft price for Munich and Larnaca that we would be prepared to reprint under our own name. So we built one instead: the published hourly rate for the cabin class, multiplied by the time on this page, rounded down. Call it a floor set by the market. It is neither a quotation nor a tariff of ours.
There is one number of our own on this site for this city pair, and it belongs beside the calculation. We publish the pairing as an empty leg flown by a Legacy 650 for 23,000 EUR — a bigger cabin than the sector needs, at less than the calculated floor for a smaller one. Nothing contradicts anything there. An empty leg is an aeroplane that was going anyway, with the seats sold against the cost of moving it rather than the cost of chartering it. We keep it out of the headline deliberately: printed at the top of a page it would read as a rate we could repeat on demand, which it is not.
| Reference | Basis | Indicative price | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Whole aircraft, one way | What we believe the floor to be | from approx. 29,200 EUR | Built from the hourly rate in the row below and the 3 h 22 on this page, rounded down. Not a quotation |
| Hourly rate, super-midsize | Europe | 8,700 – 15,000 EUR per hour | a broker's published range, undated, retrieved 23.08.2026; its lower end feeds the figure above |
| Hourly rate, super-midsize | Europe, priced in dollars | 6,200 – 7,500 USD per hour | a broker's published range, August 2026 |
| Our own published empty leg | Legacy 650 between Larnaca and Munich | 23,000 EUR | Published on this site in 2026, for the northbound flight. A repositioning discount on a heavy cabin, not a charter rate |
Against your own dates, three things move the number. Whether a suitable aeroplane is already in central Europe or has to be flown in. Whether it waits for you in Cyprus or repositions meanwhile — over a fortnight waiting is seldom the cheaper answer, over four days it frequently is. And the hour of departure, because Munich restricts night movements and Oberpfaffenhofen closes earlier still.
For most of this traffic Larnaca is the destination rather than a connection, so what matters at the far end is the road and the water rather than the next flight.
Limassol is about 45 minutes by road; Nicosia, Ayia Napa and Protaras are shorter runs still. Paphos and the west coast are beyond an hour, which is the point at which we would rather fly you into Paphos than sell you the drive.
Parking at Larnaca in high summer is a genuine constraint and not a formality. Say at the enquiry stage whether the aircraft waits on the island or leaves, because it changes both the price and what has to be arranged.
Ask about parking ›Helicopters we arrange alongside the aircraft, at published rates from 750 EUR per hour on a Eurocopter AS350, and we charter yachts — which is where a fair number of summer arrivals are actually headed.
Helicopter charter ›Give us the days you want to travel and the number of passengers. Your own flight advisor replies with the options that actually exist and a firm price.
