Manchester to Ibiza is 1,634 km, about 2 h 28 in the air on a midsize jet. Manchester operates around the clock with full business-aviation handling, so the hour you leave is yours; at the island end, in July and August, slots and parking are the binding constraint rather than the aircraft. Indicative price from €11 100. +357 95 119759, any hour.
Two and a half hours south from a field that never closes to an island that in high summer is one of the busiest pieces of general-aviation ground in Europe. Since Brexit this is a full border crossing – minutes at a business terminal, but minutes that want your passenger details early. Whole aircraft, single seats and empty legs, arranged 24/7.
REQUEST A QUOTEAn easy departure and a difficult arrival, which is the reverse of most holiday routes. Manchester operates around the clock with full business-aviation handling – the gateway for Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Liverpool, Leeds and the roads to the Lakes. Ibiza is a single-runway island airport with 14,383 business-aviation movements in 2023 on 570 square kilometres: private traffic has its own handling, but the runway slot and the ramp parking belong to everybody.
One departure open whenever you are, one arrival that is the whole planning problem, and a fallback that is a different island.
| Airport | Codes | Distance | Suits you if |
|---|---|---|---|
| Manchester | MAN / EGCC | 1,634 km | Where the sector starts, and the field every figure on this page is measured from. Around the clock with full business-aviation handling, and the gateway for Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Liverpool, Leeds and the roads to the Lakes. |
| Liverpool John Lennon | LPL / EGGP | departure alternative | Quieter and quick on the ground when that suits, and the better start for Merseyside and the Wirral. Proposed when the drive genuinely favours it. |
| Ibiza | IBZ / LEIB | arrival | Where the sector ends, and the row that shapes your summer. One runway takes both the scheduled airlines and the private traffic; the handling is separate, the slot and the parking are not. In July and August they are the binding constraint, not the aircraft. |
| Palma de Mallorca | PMI / LEPA | the Balearic fallback | Much the larger airport with room on the ground when Ibiza has none. It is a different island, so it costs a boat or a short second flight – named in advance rather than produced on the morning. |

Sixteen hundred kilometres with a full cabin is midsize work. The island adds a ground criterion: what can be placed on a crowded apron on the day you actually want to arrive.
The default: non-stop with everybody and the luggage aboard, and a size the island handles without argument in most weeks.
See the fleet ›For a small party travelling light, and the easiest category to place on a full August apron – occasionally the deciding argument on its own.
See the fleet ›For a larger group or a trip that continues along the Mediterranean. Comfortable in the air; we confirm island parking for the actual aircraft rather than in general.
See the fleet ›Indicative price from €11 100 for the whole aircraft, one way – a floor for a sensible aircraft on an ordinary day rather than a figure for a Saturday in August.
The cabin moves it most; positioning comes next, because the north of England is not where the summer Mediterranean fleet lives. What is particular to this route is the island: a slot and a parking space in the peak weeks are genuinely scarce, and scarcity at one end prices the whole sector. Manchester adds almost no volatility – it is open at any hour and handles business aviation routinely.
Where it comes down: fly mid-week rather than at the changeover, use the northern airport's round-the-clock hours to travel outside the crush, and ask about empty legs, which cluster northbound at the end of the season.
GET A FIRM PRICEJune to September, sharpest at the beginning and end of the school holidays and on the weekend changeover. Outside the season this is an easy sector at short notice.
Book early for August and book both directions together – the return slot out of Ibiza is consistently tighter than the arrival into it. Send passenger details with the booking: since Brexit this is a border crossing and the document side wants notice.
Use the Manchester hours. Because the airport never closes, arriving on the island outside the busiest windows is a real option from here in a way it is not from most northern fields, and it is usually the cheaper as well as the calmer choice.
The Balearics connect easily to the Spanish mainland and along the Mediterranean, and the second leg is easier arranged with the first.
The return leg, and the half most parties book at the same time. Booking both together secures the island slot in advance rather than leaving it to the week of travel.
Ibiza to Manchester ›Forty-six minutes to the mainland, and the commonest onward hop when the island is the first half of a trip.
Ibiza to Barcelona ›South-west along the Spanish coast, and a common continuation when the summer moves rather than ends.
