London to Marrakech is 2,339 km southbound and about 3 h 22 in the air, leaving from Luton, Farnborough or Biggin Hill and landing at Marrakech Menara, normally on a super-midsize cabin. Our guide figure for the pairing is from €29 200 for the whole aircraft, one way, and it is the same orientation figure whichever way you are flying it. Out of the London fields and south, down the Atlantic edge of Iberia and across to the foot of the Atlas. The part of this day you can still lose is the drive to the aeroplane, which is why the first question we ask is which side of London you are starting from.
REQUEST A QUOTEFlown this way round, the open question sits at the start of the day rather than at the end of it. Marrakech has one field that matters and your arrival is settled the moment the date is fixed. London has three, they are a few minutes apart in the air and can be an hour apart in traffic, and picking the wrong one is the only reliable way to make a three-and-a-half-hour flight feel long. The second thing worth knowing before you fix an hour: you are leaving the United Kingdom for a country that is in neither the European Union nor the Schengen area, so the passenger list is a real item on this booking and it is wanted early rather than on the morning.
Three fields to leave from and, for almost everybody, one to land at. Below is what separates the London three, because that is the choice this page exists to help you make.
A few minutes of flying separates Luton, Farnborough and Biggin Hill. Up to an hour of London road separates them at the other end of the journey to the aeroplane. Send us the postcode you are starting from and we will name the field; on this route the difference a good choice makes is larger than the difference between two aircraft types.
| Airport | Codes | Role | What to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| London Luton | LTN / EGGW | departure, default | The field every distance and time on this page is measured from, and the one with the deepest choice of aircraft on any given morning. North of the city, and the ordinary answer for north and west London, Hertfordshire and anything already on the M1. |
| Farnborough | FAB / EGLF | departure, south-west | No scheduled traffic uses it at all, which makes the walk from car to aircraft the shortest around London. The sensible departure for west London, the Thames Valley and Surrey. |
| London Biggin Hill | BQH / EGKB | departure, south-east | South-east of the city, and the right answer for the City, Canary Wharf, south London and Kent. Fractionally further in the air southbound and frequently an hour nearer on the road. |
| Marrakech Menara | RAK / GMMX | arrival | The city’s own airport and close to it, so the journey finishes where you were actually going. Ground handling and the Moroccan permissions are put in place in advance through the handling agent rather than settled on the day — the one line on this booking that genuinely rewards starting early. |
| Casablanca Mohammed V, Agadir | CMN / GMMN, AGA / GMAD | arrival alternatives | Casablanca if the stay is on the coast rather than in the city; Agadir if it is on the Atlantic shore further south. Both are a long drive from Marrakech itself, so neither improves on Menara unless your destination really is elsewhere. |

Moroccan handling and permission practice is described in general terms because we have no published rule to cite for it; the lead time that applies to your dates will be in your quotation.
2,339 km is the distance at which range stops being a formality on this website. With the seats filled and real luggage in the hold, a light jet is working near the edge of its useful reach and a fuel stop in Spain or Portugal becomes the likely outcome — an hour or more gone once you count the descent, the turn and the climb back up. A super-midsize cabin takes the question away and gives you somewhere to stand up for three and a half hours.
Southbound, the hold is usually the easier half of the problem. Parties tend to leave London with rather less than they bring back, so what runs out on the way down is seats and what runs out on the way home is volume. If you are buying both legs at once, size the aircraft against the return rather than against the departure and the outbound looks after itself.
Eight to nine seats, a flat floor you can walk down, and a hold that does not run out halfway through the loading. Range far beyond what this sector asks, which is why it is the default recommendation here.
See the Bombardier Challenger 350 ›Nine seats and a stand-up cabin, and usually the easiest super-midsize type to place at a few days’ notice. On a Thursday out of London in May that counts for more than the specification sheet does.
See the Cessna Citation Sovereign ›The longest-legged of the three, and the one to name if Marrakech is a stop rather than the end of the trip. It keeps a further sector in hand without refuelling turning into a planning exercise.
See the Gulfstream G280 ›All three types have their own pages in our fleet. Midsize cabins also cross this sector without stopping when the load is lighter. Allowances are on our luggage page.

That is the same figure we publish on the northbound page, and deliberately so. The arithmetic behind it rests on the flight time, the flight time is the same in both directions, and a website that quoted two different orientation prices for one pair of airports would be arguing with itself. So: one guide figure for the pairing, printed on both pages.
How it was arrived at is worth stating, because it works differently here from most of this site. For light and midsize cabins a broker publishes a starting rate and we reprint it. For the super-midsize class nobody publishes one. What is published is a broad hourly range, so we have taken the bottom of that range, multiplied by the 3 h 22 on this page and rounded down. The result is a conservative floor built on a wide band rather than a keen one built on a published starting rate, and in a quiet week a real quotation can come in below it. We have left the arithmetic where it fell instead of tidying it upwards.
On a southbound booking the thing that moves the number most is where the aeroplane starts its day. A super-midsize cabin already sitting in the London area costs you nothing to fetch; one that has to be brought in adds a leg that somebody pays for. Ask us about that early — it is more often solved by shifting the departure a few hours than by changing the aircraft.
| Reference | Basis | Indicative price | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Whole aircraft, one way | Our own indicative floor, published in both directions | from approx. 29 200 EUR | Bottom of the published super-midsize euro range below, multiplied by the 3 h 22 on this page and rounded down. No starting rate is published for this class. Not a quotation |
| Hourly rate, super-midsize | Europe | 8,700 – 15,000 EUR per hour | a broker published range, undated, retrieved 23.08.2026 |
| Hourly rate, super-midsize | Europe, dollar-quoted | 6,200 – 7,500 USD per hour | a broker published range, August 2026 |
| Empty leg | varies | brokers publish discounts of 50 – 75% | broker price pages, retrieved 23.08.2026. One-way work southbound is exactly what leaves aircraft in Morocco with nothing to carry back |
Marrakech keeps the opposite calendar to the Mediterranean. Its comfortable months are the cool ones and high summer is genuinely hot, so southbound demand concentrates in spring and autumn and thins out exactly when the rest of our European network is at its busiest.
| Period | What happens | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| March to June | The spring peak and the heaviest stretch of the year in this direction. Departures bunch at the end of the week, and a Thursday or Friday evening out of London is the first thing to disappear. | Three to four weeks for a fixed hour at the end of a week. Send the return date at the same time, even provisionally — it widens what we can hold. |
| July and August | The easy weeks. Marrakech in midsummer is hot enough to thin the traffic, and across Europe as a whole EUROCONTROL records a pronounced July to August trough in business flying. | Short notice is realistic and this is the best window of the year to ask what is already repositioning southbound. Give us a date range rather than one date. |
| September to November | The autumn peak, and often the harder of the two to arrange, because the fleet that spent the summer in the Mediterranean has not yet spread back out across Europe. | Three to four weeks. Naming one flexible day inside your window usually improves the quotation more than changing the cabin class does. |
| December to February | Quiet on the business calendar, with a firm spike around the winter holidays when Marrakech becomes an escape from the northern European weather. | A week or two in the ordinary case. Six weeks or more if your dates fall across the holidays themselves. |

For most parties Menara is the end of the journey rather than a hinge in it, so the questions worth settling at the far end are about the way back and about the coast.
Northbound is the same 2,339 km, the same 3 h 22 and the same orientation figure. Buying the pair together is normally the cheaper way to arrange the trip, and it is also how the luggage gets sized correctly.
Marrakech to London ›If part of the stay is on the Atlantic rather than inland, Casablanca Mohammed V and Agadir are both fields we use. Tell us at the enquiry stage and we will say whether a short sector beats the drive.
Ask about the coastal fields ›Aircraft taken down to Morocco on one-way work often have nothing to bring back; brokers publish discounts of 50 to 75 percent on flights in that position. On flights we open for sharing you can buy a seat instead of the aircraft.
Current empty legs ›Tell us your dates and how many of you there are. Your dedicated flight advisor will come back with aircraft options and a firm price.
