Cairo to Paris is a 3,215 km sector of about 4 h 28 in the air, Cairo to Le Bourget, and a heavy jet crosses it non-stop with the cabin full. Indicative price from €29 000 for the whole aircraft, one way. The Egyptian end needs permits rather than just a booking, so the earlier you tell us the dates the better; the operations desk answers at any hour on +357 95 119759.
North across the Mediterranean in about four and a half hours, from one of the oldest aviation gateways in the region into the busiest business-aviation airport in Europe. The flying is the simple part.
REQUEST A QUOTEThe paperwork on this route deserves as much attention as the aeroplane. Four and a half hours with a full cabin puts it in heavy-jet territory, which is straightforward enough. What is not straightforward is that a departure from Cairo by a non-Egyptian operator requires permits and slots that are applied for rather than assumed, and that the arrival in France is a third-country entry into the Schengen area with full immigration and customs. Neither is unusual — but both take working days, and a trip planned on Friday for Monday is a different proposition here than on a European pairing.
One real decision at each end, and both turn on ground time rather than air time. In Cairo the question is which side of a very large city you are starting from. In Paris it is whether Le Bourget can take you at the hour you need.
| Airport | Codes | Great-circle to Le Bourget | Suits you if |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cairo | CAI / HECA | 3,215 km | The default departure and the field every figure on this page is measured from. Egypt’s principal international gateway, on the north-east side of the city, with separate handling for business aviation. It has the deepest handling, the widest fuel and maintenance support and the most predictable permit process of any Egyptian field, which is why we quote from it unless there is a reason not to. |
| Sphinx International | SPX / HESX | 3,184 km | Thirty-one kilometres shorter in the air — about two minutes — and on the western side of the city, which for Giza, 6th of October City and the western suburbs can remove a very long drive across Cairo. Handling is lighter than at Cairo International, so it wants arranging rather than assuming. |
| Paris Le Bourget | LBG / LFPB | arrival | Where almost all of this traffic lands: eight kilometres from the périphérique, wholly given over to business aviation, and with 55,751 movements in 2023 the busiest such airport in Europe by a wide margin. Night movements are restricted, which on a four-and-a-half-hour northbound sector is the constraint most likely to reshape your departure time out of Cairo. |
| Paris Orly | ORY / LFPO | 3,207 km | Eight kilometres shorter than Le Bourget and a different proposition on the ground — a large scheduled airport with a business-aviation facility attached. It becomes the answer when Le Bourget has no window at the hour you need, and it suits destinations south of the city. |

3,215 km with a full cabin and full luggage is a heavy-jet sector. All three types below cross it non-stop without anyone being asked to leave a bag behind so the aeroplane can carry fuel. There is a second reason to favour the larger cabins out of Cairo: summer temperatures there are high enough to affect take-off performance, and margin is worth having.
Thirteen passengers, 7,223 km of range and a 6.80 cubic metre hold — by some distance the largest luggage volume on this website. The first type we put forward when the party is large or the trip is a relocation rather than a meeting.
See the Embraer Legacy 650 ›Nine to twelve passengers and 7,408 km of range, with the widest and quietest cabin of the three. It suits a party smaller than the seat count that would rather spend four and a half hours around a table than in rows.
See the Bombardier Challenger 605 ›Twelve to fourteen passengers, 8,890 km of range and the fastest of the three at 926 km/h. Three engines and several separate cabin areas — the aircraft to ask for when part of the party needs to work on the way north and part of it needs to sleep.
See the Dassault Falcon 900 ›Each of the three has its own page in our fleet. A super-midsize cabin can be made to fly this sector, but the trade becomes passengers or luggage against fuel, and in the Egyptian summer the performance margin is worth more than the saving.

We have found no published whole-aircraft route price for Cairo to Paris from a source we would be willing to reprint, so the figure above is calculated: the bottom of the published European heavy-jet hourly range applied to the flight time on this page, rounded down. It is a floor derived from market rates, not a quotation and not our tariff.
On a sector of this length the aircraft’s hourly cost is the bulk of the bill and landing fees stop being decisive. What takes their place is positioning — whether a suitable heavy cabin is already in the region — and the shape of the trip. If you are back inside a few days, keeping the aircraft and crew with you in Paris frequently costs less than two separate one-way sectors.
There is a third component that does not exist on our European routes: the Egyptian end carries permit, slot and handling requirements that take time and administrative work. These are ordinary costs of operating out of Egypt rather than a surcharge, but they are real, and they are why a Cairo departure arranged in two days will not price like one arranged in two weeks. Give us the dates early and it shows up in the number.

This is a business route and it runs on a business calendar, which makes it the opposite of the Mediterranean pairings elsewhere on this site. The months everyone else is flying are the months this corridor goes quiet, and the two shoulder seasons are its peaks rather than its bargains.
| Period | What happens | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| March to June | The stronger of the two business seasons. Comfortable weather at both ends, a full working calendar in Cairo and in Paris, and steady demand in both directions. | Two to three weeks, and start the permit process as soon as the dates are firm rather than when the aircraft is chosen. |
| September to November | The second business season, and in practice the busiest weeks of the year on this corridor. Paris carries a heavy autumn calendar and Le Bourget is correspondingly busy, which shows up as fewer easy arrival hours rather than as no availability. | Three weeks, and give us the hour you need to be on the ground in Paris rather than the hour you would like to leave Cairo. |
| August | Quiet, and genuinely so. European business flying drops sharply in July and August — EUROCONTROL’s analysis of the sector identifies a pronounced summer trough — and Cairo is very hot, which suppresses discretionary travel at the same time. | The easiest month of the year to arrange at short notice. Heat affects take-off performance at the Cairo end, so expect us to be conservative about payload on the hottest days. |
| The second half of December | The other quiet window, and a short one. Business travel in both directions stops for roughly a fortnight and resumes abruptly. | Short notice is realistic, with the caveat that permit and handling offices keep holiday hours at both ends. |

Le Bourget is the busiest business-aviation airport in Europe precisely because it is a hub as well as a destination, and a fair share of the traffic arriving from Cairo carries on within a day or two.
Paris to London is a short hop and one of the busiest corridors in Europe, which is why empty legs appear on it so regularly in both directions.
Paris to London ›Paris to Nice is a route we publish and the commonest second leg out of Le Bourget in the summer half of the year.
Paris to Nice ›Both are short sectors from Le Bourget and both are routes we publish, which makes Paris a practical hinge for a European week rather than a terminus.
