Private Jet Charter Athens to Larnaca

930 km eastward and about 1 h 35 aloft, usually in a light or midsize cabin. This is the only sector on our list that ends where our own people sit: at the Cypriot end the crew, the handling and the desk answering the telephone are ours to organise directly, not somebody else’s to relay. You will find no fixed figure printed below, and the reasoning is set out in full further down rather than tucked away. Send dates and a head count; something written arrives inside thirty minutes and +357 95 119759 is staffed at every hour.

Ninety-odd minutes over the eastern Mediterranean, from the Attic plain to the southern shore of Cyprus. Over a distance this modest the hours you save are not saved aloft at all – they are saved in the quarter of an hour at either end that a business-aviation terminal asks for instead of the two hours a terminal building asks for. Arranged round the clock.

The route at a glance

Nine hundred and thirty kilometres of open water, which in a light cabin comes to roughly an hour and a half and very little excitement. What earns the eastbound leg a page of its own is where it finishes. For a great many parties Athens is a staging post rather than a home, and the aeroplane carrying them onward to Cyprus is putting down at the field our own operations desk occupies. That half of the day is arranged by the people who work there, which is why it is the uncomplicated half.

Distance
930 km
502 nautical miles great-circle, Athens to Larnaca; the track actually flown across the Aegean exceeds the straight line
Flight time
approx. 1 h 35 min
Modelled against times we already publish rather than clocked. Short enough that time on the ground at either end forms a real share of the journey
Departure
ATH
Athens Eleftherios Venizelos LGAV, the mainland gateway, and for many parties the point where a journey that began in the islands turns east
Arrival
LCA
Larnaca LCLK – the island’s principal business-aviation gateway and our own base, best for Nicosia, eastern Limassol, Ayia Napa and Protaras
Typical aircraft
Light / midsize jet
Phenom 300, Citation XLS+ or Hawker 800XP. None is stretched by 930 km, so the cabin decides rather than the range
Busiest months
Jun – Sep
The Mediterranean season, bracketed by May and October, with the balance of the year running to an ordinary commercial diary
The distance is a great-circle figure between airport coordinates, so the track actually flown is longer than it. The time is a model estimate and not a measured block time: the model is fitted to flight times Diamond Executive Aero Services already publishes on this website, it makes no distinction between the outbound and the return, and routing, wind, slots and aircraft type all move it. The schedule in your quotation is the real one.

Great-circle distance from OurAirports coordinates, retrieved 23 August 2026. The duration is modelled from times Diamond Executive Aero Services already publishes on this site; it holds no view about heading and it shifts with airway routing, wind, slots and type. The real schedule lives in your quotation.

Which airports we use

One departure, one arrival, and a single alternative that matters only if the week finishes at the western end of Cyprus rather than the eastern. The island is small without being a single point, and the wrong field at the end of a ninety-five minute flight can consume the time the flight just bought you.

AirportCodesDistanceSuits you if
AthensATH / LGAVdepartureWhere the leg begins. The mainland gateway for the city, for the Attica coast and for everybody returning off the Cyclades, which for most parties is done by rotor or by boat rather than by jet. Tell us when you expect to be back on the mainland and the departure gets built around that rather than around an optimistic guess about the last leg in from the islands.
LarnacaLCA / LCLK930 kmYour arrival, and our own base. The island’s principal business-aviation gateway, handling at any hour, and the correct field for Nicosia, Ayia Napa, Protaras and the eastern half of Limassol. Aircraft, crew and handling here are organised by us directly rather than through a chain of intermediaries, which is what makes the arriving half of the day quick.
PaphosPFO / LCPHalternative arrivalThe right finish if you are staying in Paphos or Polis and have no wish to drive the length of the island after landing. Handling and aircraft availability run thinner here than at Larnaca, so raise it early and we will say at once what can be put together rather than finding out on the day.

Aircraft for Athens to Larnaca

The distance sits comfortably within light-jet reach, so this is one of those legs where range never enters the discussion. Around an hour and thirty-five minutes aloft. What settles the choice is how many seats need filling and what is riding in the hold behind them – and coming east off a Greek summer, the hold is usually the honest answer.

Embraer Phenom 300

The usual answer here. A light cabin carrying several times the range this asks for, and on a corridor we work as often as this one, the type likeliest to be available tomorrow.

See the Phenom 300 ›

Cessna Citation XLS+

A midsize cabin you can stand up in, for a family or a working group. Over ninety-five minutes the height counts for less than the seats do, but if Cyprus means a meeting rather than a beach it earns its keep.

See the Citation XLS+ ›

Hawker 800XP

The step upward when the luggage rather than the party is what constrains you: a full galley, a lavatory of its own, and baggage volume for a group that has just spent a fortnight among the islands.

See the Hawker 800XP ›

All three carry their own entries in our fleet, and larger cabins can be arranged on this leg as well.

What it costs

There is no fixed figure here. A number blind to your dates, your head count and which aeroplane is genuinely free that week is not a price, and over a leg this short it would be wrong by more than the leg is worth.

Public numbers do exist, and you may as well have them, because they were published for this heading rather than the other one. LunaJets lists EUR 11,200 against a Citation Mustang, EUR 18,400 against a Hawker 850XP and EUR 21,700 against a Gulfstream GIV-SP for Athens to Larnaca. Those pages carry no date and were retrieved on 23 August 2026, and not one of them describes an aeroplane of ours or a quotation of ours. The same pages put the opposite heading higher across all three types – EUR 12,800, EUR 20,100 and EUR 24,000 – and we can report what they say without being able to explain why they say it.

Beyond those, what is public are hourly rates for the cabin class rather than prices for the pairing. Brokers put European light and midsize cabins at EUR 4,600 to 9,700 an hour, others quote from EUR 2,900 to 3,500, others again USD 3,750 to 4,600, all retrieved during 2026. They serve to audit a quotation and are useless for constructing one: multiply any of them by an hour and thirty-five minutes and you have omitted the crew day, the landing and handling at both ends, and whether the aeroplane stays in Cyprus alongside you or is released and has to be fetched back.

On this heading one question is worth putting to every quotation you hold, ours included: where does the aeroplane sleep afterwards? Flying east into Cyprus is the direction in which much of the regional fleet is heading home rather than setting out, and an aircraft that was going to make the movement anyway prices quite differently from one despatched across the water to collect you. If your date has a day of give in it, say so and we will tell you what is already pointed this way.

Every figure above belongs to a third party and appears so that you can audit any quotation you receive, ours included. None is a price for your flight. Pairing figures come from the LunaJets Athens and Larnaca route pages, which carry no date and were retrieved on 23 August 2026. The hourly bands come from LunaJets for Europe, undated; from Eurosky dated 19 February 2026; and from Paramount Business Jets dated August 2026. A price exists only once Diamond Executive Aero Services has written one against your dates. +357 95 119759, round the clock.

When to fly, and when to book early

A single season rather than two, and it is the predictable one. The eastern Mediterranean fills from June and drains from October, and the months either side of the crest are where availability and value coincide. Unlike the Greek islands, Cyprus keeps an ordinary commercial diary all year, which is why this corridor never quite stops.

PeriodWhat happensWhat to do
June to SeptemberThe Mediterranean season and the busiest stretch at either end. Aeroplanes that would otherwise idle in Cyprus are working, and Athens is where everybody coming back off the islands converges.Allow more notice than you would in winter, and hand us the departure hour rather than just the date, so that the Athens handling window is nailed down before you commit to anything.
May and OctoberThe bracketing months. Either the weather has turned while the season has not begun, or the season has just ended and the fleet has yet to stand down.Where availability and value meet. Given a day or two of give, ask what is repositioning through Athens that week – eastbound carries the better odds.
November to AprilOutside the holiday pattern entirely. Cyprus works a normal commercial calendar all year, so traffic on this corridor does not halt; it merely stops competing with holiday demand. The simplest months to buy at short notice. A departure inside the same week is realistic and frequently the same day.

Onward from Larnaca

For a large share of the people we put down in Cyprus the island is a junction rather than a destination, and it is where our own desk sits. A further leg settled in the same conversation almost always costs less than one bought a week later.

Larnaca to Dubai

Onward east instead of doubling back into Europe – the natural continuation when the Gulf was where the journey was always headed.

Larnaca to Dubai ›

Larnaca to Beirut

The shortest hop off the island and among the busiest things our desk arranges. Worth raising in the same message rather than after you have landed.

Larnaca to Beirut ›

Larnaca to Tel Aviv

The other short eastern leg, and the one most often added when Cyprus is a working stop inside a fortnight rather than the end of it.

Larnaca to Tel Aviv ›

Everything we fly off the island is gathered on the Cyprus charter page, and repositioning flights between the Greek mainland and Cyprus occur often enough to be worth asking about: see current empty legs.

Questions we get about this route

How long is Athens to Larnaca?
Roughly an hour and thirty-five minutes aloft across 930 km, with something like fifteen minutes on the ground at either end at a business-aviation terminal. The duration is modelled rather than clocked: it comes from a fit to times we already publish, it takes no view of heading, and it shifts with airway routing, wind, slots and type. Your quotation carries the real schedule.
Which aircraft do you put on this leg?
Light and midsize cabins – the Embraer Phenom 300, the Cessna Citation XLS+ and the Hawker 800XP, all three in our own fleet. Nothing about 930 km stretches any of them, so what decides is how many of you there are and how much travels with you rather than range. Larger cabins can be arranged as well.
What does it cost?
No fixed figure is published, because a figure blind to your dates is not a price. Public numbers do exist for this heading: LunaJets lists EUR 11,200 for a Citation Mustang, EUR 18,400 for a Hawker 850XP and EUR 21,700 for a Gulfstream GIV-SP, undated and retrieved 23 August 2026, all describing other people’s aeroplanes. Send dates and something written follows inside thirty minutes.
Why is this heading quoted below the outbound?
Third-party publication does show it that way – 11,200 against 12,800 euro, 18,400 against 20,100, and 21,700 against 24,000, all as retrieved on 23 August 2026. What those pages say we can report; why they say it we cannot. Over any short leg the cheaper heading in a given week is generally the one the aeroplane intended to fly regardless, which is exactly why a day of give in your dates is worth mentioning.
Can we go out and back the same day?
At an hour and thirty-five minutes in each heading it is a shape people ask for constantly. The deciding factor lies between the two flights rather than in them: rostered crew hours, the handling slot at each field, and whether the aeroplane sits on the island or is let go. Give us the hour you want to be in Larnaca and the hour you want to be back in Athens and both versions get quoted so you can see what waiting costs.
Larnaca or Paphos?
Larnaca in nearly every case: it is the island’s principal business-aviation gateway, it handles at any hour, and it is the correct field for Nicosia, Ayia Napa, Protaras and eastern Limassol. Paphos is the better finish for a stay in Paphos or Polis, but handling and aircraft availability are thinner there, so raise it at the enquiry rather than on the day.
When should we book?
June to September is the busy stretch across the eastern Mediterranean, bracketed by May and October. In the crest weeks allow more notice and give us the departure hour rather than just the date. Outside the season this is a short leg on a corridor we work daily, and short notice is entirely realistic.
Do you actually operate at the Cypriot end, or is this brokered?
The Cypriot end belongs to us. Diamond Executive Aero Services is registered in Cyprus, and the operations desk, the crew arrangements and the handling relationships at Larnaca sit with us directly instead of at the far end of a chain of go-betweens. That is what makes the arriving half quick to put together. The desk picks up at any hour on +357 95 119759.
