Tbilisi to Larnaca is 1,243 km and about 1 h 59 in the air, flown in one go by a super-midsize cabin – Challenger 350, Legacy 500 or Gulfstream G280. Leaving the Caucasus westward you are two hours from Cyprus, and you are travelling in the direction our aeroplanes go home: this is the half of the pairing on which a repositioning flight is worth asking about before anything else. Our own floor is €7 000 one way for the whole aircraft, and the sum behind it is printed below. +357 95 119759, any hour.
Two hours from Tbilisi puts you on the island rather than in a transit hall, and the day you were planning to lose to a connection stays yours. Send the party and the dates; we will tell you what is genuinely free in the eastern Mediterranean on them, and whether something is already scheduled to fly your way empty.
REQUEST A QUOTEA westbound run off the Caucasus that the class flies without effort. Nothing here turns on altitude, a slot lottery or a permit lead time. Two things are worth knowing before you ask for a number. The first is that 1 h 59 is billed as two hours, because the cabin class carries a two-hour minimum, so the invoice rounds up where the clock does not. The second is that Cyprus is where we are based, which on this heading makes the aeroplane an aeroplane coming home rather than one being sent out – and that is the single item most likely to move your price.
Airport coordinates and codes: OurAirports open dataset, retrieved 23 August 2026; distances computed great-circle. Handling and slot conditions are seasonal; we check them against the days you are actually travelling instead of quoting a general rule at you.
One obvious field at each end, and a useful second answer on each side. In Georgia the alternatives are about where your week actually ended; in Cyprus the alternative is about which coast your bed is on.
| Field | Code | Role on this route | What decides it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tbilisi | TBS / UGTB | Departure | Full handling and a short time on the ground, which is what makes this departure undramatic. It is also the practical base for the Caucasus, so a party that has spent the week across three countries usually ends up leaving from here whatever it did in between. Give us the hour you want wheels up rather than only the morning, and outbound formalities and handling are arranged around it. |
| Larnaca | LCA / LCLK | Arrival | The main Cyprus field, taking business aviation at any hour, and the one our own flights most often work from. Our operations desk stands on the airfield and is manned around the clock, which is why landing here outside office hours is arranged rather than negotiated. Passport control happens beside the steps rather than in a hall. |
| Paphos | PFO / LCPH | Alternative arrival | The western field. Larnaca and Paphos are about 45 minutes apart by road and they are not interchangeable for everybody – if the address you are going to is on the west coast, say so at the enquiry and we price the field that suits it instead of the one that suits the map. |
| Batumi | BUS / UGSB | Alternative departure | The Black Sea coast and the resorts along it. For a party finishing its trip there this is a short sector or a drive saved, and it is worth naming at the enquiry rather than after the aeroplane has been fixed to Tbilisi. |
| Kutaisi | KUT / UGKO | Alternative departure | Western Georgia, subject to handling and to operating hours rather than available on demand. Ask early enough that a negative answer can still reshape the morning. |
Coordinates and codes from the OurAirports open dataset, retrieved 23 August 2026. What we say about handling at the Georgian alternatives is qualitative – we publish no figures for it, because we have none we would stand behind.
Two hours with a full cabin and real luggage is super-midsize work. Drop a class below it and the saving tends to be handed back on the return leg – and with two hours billed as a minimum anyway, the saving is smaller on the invoice than it looks in an hourly comparison.
The usual answer between Cyprus and this part of the map: a wide cabin, standing height and the range to fly the sector nonstop with the hold full. A party coming off a fortnight in the Caucasus is a hold question as much as a seating one.
Challenger 350 ›Comparable reach, a notably quiet cabin, and frequently the aeroplane that is free on your date when the Challenger is not. Naming both at the enquiry gets you airborne sooner than insisting on one of them.
Legacy 500 ›Fast and long in the legs for the class. Ask for it when both ends of the day are already fixed and you would rather win the margin back in the air than argue for it on the ground.
Gulfstream G280 ›From €7 000 one way for the whole aeroplane. That is our own floor, rounded down – not a quotation and not a tariff. Your date, what is actually free on it and the airport charges all move it; send the dates and we confirm in writing inside half an hour.
Nobody has put a price on this pairing, either way round, in a place we would be prepared to reprint under our own name. Rather than conjure a number to fill the gap, we show the sum instead. Two hours are billed, because the cabin class carries a two-hour minimum and the sector is a minute under it, at the lowest published entry rate we can find for that class, and the result is rounded down. A figure with its workings on display can be argued with; an invented one cannot.
| Reference | Applies to | Published figure | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Whole aircraft, this route | Tbilisi to Larnaca | from €7 000 | Our own floor, not a quotation: 2.00 h billed (two-hour minimum applies) × 3 500 EUR/h, the published entry rate for the cabin class (Eurosky, 19.02.2026), rounded down |
| Hourly, midsize cabins | Europe | 4,600 – 9,700 EUR per hour | Broker published range, undated, retrieved 23.08.2026 |
| Hourly, entry level | Europe | from 2,900 – 3,500 EUR per hour | Broker published range, 19.02.2026 |
| Hourly, dollar-quoted | Light to midsize | 3,750 – 4,600 USD per hour | Broker published range, August 2026 |
| Empty leg | depends on the day | discounts of 50 – 75% are published | Broker price pages, retrieved 2026 |
Everything in that table except our own floor belongs to somebody else and is reprinted so that you have a yardstick to hold against any offer, ours included. None of it is our offer. What genuinely moves the number on a sector this length is where the aeroplane starts and what it is due to do next – and westbound those two questions have an unusually friendly answer, because Cyprus is where ours are based. Ask it of every quotation on your desk: is this aeroplane coming home, or is it being sent out and brought back?
GET A FIRM PRICEThis corridor has two seasons pulling against each other, and the useful consequence is that the quiet months at one end are the busy months at the other. Cyprus keeps flying through the winter, so the weeks that are hardest to buy elsewhere in Europe are among the easiest to buy here.
| Period | What happens | What to do about it |
|---|---|---|
| June to September | Peak in both directions. What tightens is not the aeroplane but what happens after it lands: island parking and handling at the convenient hours | Ask about parking in the same message as the aircraft, not once it is booked. If the aeroplane is not staying on the island, say so – it removes the question entirely |
| October to April | Much of Europe slows down and Cyprus does not, so supply on this heading is comfortable | The stretch where short notice genuinely works, and the months in which it pays most to ask what is repositioning |
| Easter and Christmas | Short, hard peaks on either side of the holiday itself | Fix the dates early. The days closest to the holiday go first and they do not come back |
| May and late September | Shoulder weeks: everything open, pricing gentler | Where the value on this route sits. If your dates can move at all, move them into these |
One seasonal point belongs to your direction specifically. An aeroplane that flew east with passengers has to get back, and the getting back is the half that carries nobody – which is why, on this heading, the repositioning question is worth asking before the price question. Tell us which of your days has give in it.
For a good many parties Cyprus is where the itinerary turns rather than where it stops. A second sector settled in the same conversation as the first almost always costs less than the same sector bought separately a fortnight later.
The shortest crossing out of Cyprus, and one flown routinely on the same day as an arrival from the east when both legs sit on a single booking.
Larnaca to Beirut ›South-east, and short. The continuation we are asked for most by parties whose Caucasus week was working rather than a holiday.
Larnaca to Tel Aviv ›The long run east out of the island, and the usual next move when Cyprus was the overnight stop rather than the destination.
Larnaca to Dubai ›Tell us your dates and how many of you there are. Your dedicated flight advisor will come back with aircraft options and a firm price.
