As the name suggests, this is a way to share the cost of renting a business jet with other passengers.
Business aviation is a fairly flexible field, which is dispelled based on customer requests. The concept of sharing has always existed, but after the number of scheduled flights sharply decreased in 2020 due to the coronavirus epidemic, it became especially popular and, one might even say, stood out as a separate branch of business aviation.
Previously, jet sharing was more often used among passengers who want to share the cost of the flight. For example, during the New Year holidays, the resorts of the Alps are traditionally a popular holiday destination. Passengers could find others willing to fly by private plane themselves or through their airline broker and "check" the cost of the flight for 2-3-4 families. It also happens with flights to big business and political events: forums, exhibitions, etc., when a large number of people need to be in one place on the same dates.

It is now possible to rent a private plane from anywhere together. For such a flight, the board is rented in advance and, based on the cost, the price for one seat in the cabin is formed. Obviously, this amount is significantly lower than the cost of renting an entire business jet, and midsize or heavy class aircraft are used - Legacy 600/650, Challenger 300/850, etc. – very comfortable types of aircraft.
